Hello everyone!
Michelle here from the Design Team with a Christmas card that’s full of festive cheer. These sweet robins have bundled up and gathered at a holiday market stall for warm drinks, twinkly snow and lots of smiles.
Trees - Snow Much Fun
Bunting - Trick Or Treaters
The snowy night sky is ink blended in deep blues (Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxides) with plenty of white splatters and snowflakes die cut from white glitter cardstock for a flurry effect. I added trees and a woodgrain hut to bring the scene to life.
The hut was made from stamping the A5 Woodgrain stamp in Ground Espresso Distress Oxide onto Kraft cardstock. Once the ink was dry, I traced out the outline of a hut (measuring roughly 3.5 inches x 3.5 inches) in the pencil and then cut it out. I ink blended some more Ground Espresso Distress Oxide around the edges of the hut to give it more dimension before cutting out strips of dark brown cardstock to make the roof and the window ledge.
The characters are all stamped and coloured with alcohol markers, dressed in winter hats and scarves. The string of bright bunting adds the perfect pop of colour above.
I found the perfect simple Merry Christmas sentiment in my stash. I heat embossed this onto red cardstock with white heat embossing powder.
This card would be lovely to send warm wishes to someone special this holiday season.
Wishing you hot drinks, happy crafting and all the holiday sparkle!
Michelle
