Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, and I’m sharing a fun, interactive critter card featuring stamps, dies, and stencils from Time For Tea Designs. It creates such a cute little scene of critter friends catching up over coffee.
The die I used is from Lawn Fawn and is called the Ta-Da Diorama. I followed the instructions in Lawn Fawn’s intro video, cutting out all of the necessary elements. For the front panels, I used a blending brush to ink-blend Pumice Stone Distress Ink over the Tiled Wall 6 x6" Stencil. To add extra interest, I finished the panels with splatter using water, Distress Ink, and a paintbrush.
For the back panel, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over the cloud section of the 6x6 Scene Builder stencil, then used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks for the ground. Once again, I added splatter with water and Distress Inks. I love how this extra step adds texture and dimension to the card.
After all of the ink blending was complete, I assembled the diorama by following the video instructions.
Next, I stamped and colored the critters and supporting elements with Copics to build the scene. I used the Café Critters and Snappy Before Coffee Clear Stamp Sets, cutting the images out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen highlights with a Gelly Roll pen for a final pop.
To finish the project, I used liquid glue to adhere the images to the 3D card.
