Happily Ever After

Happy Friday! Today, DT Annalisa here, and I’m sharing a soft pastel watercolour scene that would make a beautiful engagement or anniversary card. For this card, I used the You’re Engaged Stamp Set, Distress Watercolour Pencils, and a scene die from my stash.

To begin, I cut an A2 card panel from Distress Watercolour Paper and coloured the sky and grass using Distress Watercolour Pencils. For the sky, I used Tumbled Glass and Speckled Egg, and for the grass, I used Shabby Shutters and Crushed Olive. To add texture and interest, I splattered white paint across the background before adhering the panel to a card base.

Next, I die cut the backdrop from Distress Watercolour Paper and coloured the border and vines with Distress Watercolour Pencils in Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Pumice Stone, and Scorched Timber. For the small flowers, I used Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Spiced Marmalade. Once everything was dry, I used liquid glue to adhere the flowers and backdrop to the card base.

The car, kitties, and sentiment are from the You’re Engaged Stamp Set, while the small flowers and hearts are from the Just Married Stamp Set. The butterflies are from the Cacti Critters Stamp Set. I coloured all of the images with Copic markers, then die-cut them using the coordinating dies. To finish the card, I added white gel pen accents and adhered all of the elements with liquid glue.
