Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, summer has arrived, and today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful ice cream-themed card I created using stamps, patterned paper, and dies from Time For Tea Designs.
To begin, I selected a beautiful 9" x 6" piece of patterned paper featuring colourful ice cream lollies. I adhered it to my card base using liquid glue. Next, I used the Simple Square Nesting Dies to create a thin border from yellow cardstock and glued it around the patterned paper to add a pop of colour and help frame the design.
For the focal images, I stamped several adorable critters from the older Cool Critters stamp set and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic markers and finished them with white gel pen highlights for extra detail and dimension.
To create the focal panel, I die-cut a piece of thick vellum using one of the Scalloped Circle Dies. I then adhered the coloured images and sentiment to the vellum using liquid glue. To keep the adhesive from showing through the vellum, I placed it strategically behind the images and sentiment before securing the vellum panel to the card base.
I love how the bright colours and playful ice cream theme capture the fun feeling of summer.
