Cat moms rock! 🐈

A house is not a home without a cat.🐈 Very cliché, but oh so true. Mind you, not everybody seems to think this is true. Until they get chosen by a random cat that happens to pass by and choose their new spot will be at your place. Which is what happened to my friend. She, owner of 2 dogs and a strange dislike towards cats, was chosen by a mom cat who brought her litter to my friends backyard. One day, mom and 3 of her kids were gone, and 1 kitten was left behind. I'd like to think she chose to stay! Needless to say, my friends cold, cold, icy heart melted, and she took the kitten in. Reason enough for me to send her a card, welcoming her to the cat mom society! 😉

For this special occassion, I used the Purrfect Day Clear Stamp Set. I started by stamping and coloring the images, sticking to a purple/grey/brique color scheme. The calico cat is based on my friends newest family member! I ran the images through my Scan 'n cut machine. I matched up the color of the word 'mom', for which I used Anthony's Alpha Dies. I borrowed an alphabet set from a different brand for the smaller word 'cat' and used Ranger Glossy Accents to make it shine ✦

Next up, I used the Stitched Window Cover Die with white cardstock and made a panel out of design paper to put behind the cover die, using the Simple Nesting Dies - A6. I adhered them together using double sided tape.

I added the letters using glue, and the images using double sided foam tape.

Added some sparkly enamel dots to finish it and it's ready to go! I hope my friend will love this card as much as she loves her new friend, a little less would be ok too ofcourse 😉
