Skating by to say...

Hi Tea Timers, welcome back to the blog. With Christmas less than 2 months away, it's time for me to start working on my Christmas cards. My list of recipients grows every year and I want to make sure I have enough cards to send out.

I finally got my hands on the Skating By Penguins set and wanted to create a card with these adorable friends.

I thought to create a scene of the penguin's first time skating and their friend cheering them on.

Sets used:

Skating By Penguins coordinating die set available here

I first stamped out my images and used Copic Markers to color them. I then fussy cut the images out. There are coordinating dies available that you can use to die cut them out.

I then took an A2 panel and die cut out a hill piece using one of the hill dies from a landscape die set. I blended this piece with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide.

I took another A2 panel and die cut out the mini village. I masked off the top portion and blended the middle part withSalvaged Patina Distress Oxide as well.

I then took one more A2 panel and blended it with Twisted Citron, Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick.

I splattered all three piece with white watercolor to create a snow effect on all of the pieces.

On the background panel, I heat embossed my two sentiments using Embossing Ink and white embossing powder.

I then assembled my pieces using liquid adhesive.

For the penguins, I added the three friends using liquid adhesive. I completed the card by adding the skater using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post today. All of the products I used are linked above. Don't forget to use the code T4TRANDY10 at checkout for extra savings. Happy Crafting!
