"It's Penguin-ing to look a lot like Christmas!"

Hi Tea Timers, welcome back to the blog. I am continuing the inspiration for Christmas cards this week by showcasing three of the older Holiday sets. I've had the scene in my head for quite some time and finally made it come to life.

I really love penguins and thought it would be cute to have them decorate a tree while balancing on an ice sheet!

Sets used:

I first stamped out my images and used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I then used Copic Markers to color the images.

To create my background, I took an A2 Panel and blended it with Antique Linen, Saltwater Taffy, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides. I then splattered the background with white watercolor.

I then took another A2 panel and die cut out two hill pieces using the landscape dies. I wanted one piece to look like the icy water and blended it with Uncharted Mariner and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides.

For my second landscape piece, I wanted it to look like the snowy ground so I blended it Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide. I splattered these pieces with white watercolor as well.

To assemble my card, I first adhered the two landscape pieces onto my background panel using liquid adhesive.

I then adhered the ice sheet onto the background using liquid adhesive, followed by the Christmas tree.

I then added my penguins by stacking them and using foam tape.

To complete my card, I heat embossed the sentiments onto green cardstock using white embossing powder and embossing ink. I then die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

I added the sentiment onto the card using liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post today. All of the products I used are linked above. Don't forget to use the code T4TRANDY10 at checkout for extra savings. Happy Crafting!
