Get Whale Soon

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here sharing a get well soon card featuring the Get Whale Soon stamp set and the Wonky Background Masking Stencil. I have been under the weather for the past week, so I thought it would be fitting to share this. Thankfully I am on the mend, as it is hard to be crafty when your head is congested!

I ink-blended Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink over the Wonky Background Masking Stencil onto some white cardstock using my Beautiful Rainbow Blender Brushes. I added splatter with a paintbrush, water and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. I also added metallic silver watercolour splatter with a paintbrush.

Once dry, I die-cut the panel with the A2 Layering dies. I used the same die set to cut grey card stock that I glued to an A2 card base. I love how these dies make it so easy to create a layered card like this without having to measure!

I stamped the images from Get Whale Soon with Lawn Fawn Jet Blank Ink and coloured them with my Copics. I added white gel pen accents and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I stamped the 'sending you hugs' to the bottom of the ink-blended panel using Versafine Onyx Black. Next, I added double-sided foam tape to the back of the panel and stuck it down to the card base.

I used liquid glue to stick down the pills and heart to the card base for the rest, I used double-sided foam tape. I added Glossy Accents for shine and added dimension, to some of the elements. I added blue Designer Enamel Dots from the Sweet Summer Enamel Dots, to complete the card.

There's a bear in the wood's

Hey there Tea-timer friends...

It's DT Ashlee here today and I've got a card to share featuring the Happy trails set from Time for tea designs!!

I wanted to create a scene of a bear lost in the woods so I used a couple dies from T4T to set the scene...
- Hey, Hello, Hi (for the large focal sentiment)

I started with a blue cardstock base that I added some slight blue inking to for depth to the sky. I then used green cardstock and added ink blending and splatters to it so that I could die cut the tree top (I used one of the ocean wave dies) and then a strip for the grass. Using a piece of brown cardstock I added brown ink blending and splatters and then die cut a bunch of trees trunks...

I adhered all the trunks to the sky base using liquid glue and then adhered the tree top and grass with foam tape. The hey sentiment was adhered into the tree top and to add a sub sentiment I stamped the I'd be lost without you on light brown card and added it to the grass.

I stamped, coloured and die cut all the images before arranging my little woods scene before completing the card with a touch of sequins!!

(All images were coloured using Spectrum noir tri-blend markers)

I hope you enjoyed today's card, I certainly had lots of fun making it...
Happy crafting, hugs Ashlee.

You are TEArrific!

Hi Tea Timers! Did you know that there is currently a sale on the Retiring Collection in the shop?! I wanted to highlight one of the sets and really love the Tearrific Pals stamp set. The set has two adorable critters in cups and I thought it paired perfectly with the new Pumpkin Spice stamp set (not retiring).

Sets used:
I first stamped out the images and used the following Copic Markers to color them: BG11. BG13. BG15. BG18, RV21, RV23, RV25, B93, B95, B97, B99, V01, V04. V05, V06, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7. I then cut them out using the coordinating dies and set them to the side.

I then took an A2 panel and used the Tiled Wall Stencil first. I blended it with Worn Lipstick and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxides. I then took the Coffee Stains stencil and blended it with the Tea Dye Distress Oxide. I wanted it to look like there were stains on the counter.

After I blended with the stencil, I took the images and arranged them onto my card. I wanted to see how I wanted to space my sentiments and I ended up going with both sentiments.

I stamped the sentiments onto the panel directly using black ink. I then adhered the images using a mix of liquid adhesive and foam tape. I had an extra sugar cube that I stamped out and thought it would be cute if it looked like it was falling into the cup with the kitty.

Tearrific Pals stamp set is one of many stamps retiring and on sale! Check out the Retiring Collection and used the code T4TRANDY10 at checkout for extra savings.

Have a crafty day!

March Step by Step tutorial: You Mean a Latte to Me

Hey Tea Timers, hope you're all well! It's been a long old winter, hasn't it? I can't believe it's still snowing in March! Definitely still need a nice hot drink after the school run, which leads me to this month's card…

To make this partial shaker card, you'll need:

- Coffee beans stencil

- Brown ink and an ink blending tool (I used blender brushes)

- Pumpkin Spice stamp set and co-ordinating dies

- Acetate or clear packaging

- Circle die

- White and black cardstock

- White embossing powder, anti static powder, embossing ink & heat tool

- Colouring medium of your choice (I used Copics)

- Paper trimmer or scissors

- Double sided tape

- Liquid glue or foam dots

- Gold Sequins

Instructions:

1. Start by making the coffee bean background. Apply brown ink to a piece of white cardstock using a blending tool (I used gathered twigs distress oxide and a blender brush). Then, apply a darker coat of the brown ink over the top through the Coffee Beans stencil.

2. Die cut a circle from an A2 panel of white cardstock - with the edge of the die hanging over the edge of the panel.

3. Take a piece of acetate or clear packaging (I used a sleeve from a stamp set). Place the coffee bean panel inside the packaging and add in the gold Sequins, then seal. If using acetate, fold it around the back of the panel on 3 sides, add the Sequins, then seal the final side with double sided tape.

4. Glue the White panel on to the front of the shaker.

5. Stamp, colour and die cut two of the coffee mugs from the Pumpkin Spice set.

6. Dust a piece of Black cardstock with an anti static powder tool. Stamp the sentiment with embossing ink and add White embossing powder. Shake off the excess and set with a heat tool.

7. Trim down the sentiment with a paper trimmer and add to the front of the card with foam tape or glue. Add the coffee mugs with foam tape.

Thanks for joining me again, and hopefully by next month, we’ll be enjoying some warmer weather!
