ICHF Birmingham NEC

Morning all! I know I've not posted in a while. Things have been so busy at T4T HQ. I was working last weekend at my 'other' job and then on my day off travelled to Birmingham for the ICHF Trade show.
I had an amazing day! I was so excited to be finally going and the atmosphere and inspiration all around was incredible.
I met some awesome people on the day and people who have been tremendous inspiration to me personally. It really was the most awe inspiring day. I met Madison from Echo Park. Love their papers and collections and he was lovely guy. I met the girls at Personal Expressions who were demonstrating art journaling with spray inks and stencils! They were fabulous. They even let me take a couple of pics and gave me the finished demo signed! Yay! I even saw Hayley West of Create & Craft fame in the ladies loos haha!
There were seminars and workshops, demonstrations and incredible sample displays to see! The Sizzix stand was amazing & they allowed pictures which are below. It really was like being in a crafty sweet shop.
The highlight of the day was bumping into Nikky Hall of Polkadoodles. She really has been a long time inspiration for me and I love her work. I almost chickened out talking to her but am very glad I didn't as she was totally lovely and we had a great (& very exciting!) chat ;)
It wasn't just a sightseeing expedition though as I did have a purpose and that was to see if I could add products to my shop that will compliment my digis. I think I've come up with some perfect additions so keep an eye out for those in the near future!
So it's exciting times ahead for T4T and I can't wait to share some of the new ideas & developments with you. Also look out for some new releases next week ready for Mothers Day & spring! :)
Have a great weekend!

Bubbles Digi Stamp - New Release!

Morning crafters! Just a quick post from me this morning as I'm working today unfortunately :(
Before I go I just wanted to let you know about the latest release in my Etsy Shop.

She's called Bubbles and she is sweet girl daydreaming and blowing love heart bubbles! I confess I haven't had time to make a sample for her which I'm gutted about but will hopefully add one in the next few days. I just couldn't wait to show her to you.

I hope you like her & would love it if you me know what you think.
Here's one I started to colour but didn't get chance to finish. I'm thinking of creating a little scene around her so we'll so how that goes :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Valentines Origami Hearts

Good Morning all!

I promised Wednesday on Instagram that I would post a tutorial for making this card however the day job got in the way somewhat & then Blogger wasn't playing - & still isn't to be fair!! Its driving me mad!

Anyway, Here is the Origami tutorial a day late I'm afraid. It is very simple & effective & hearts can be used all year round. Once you made one you'll want make loads of them I guarantee!

The card itself is very simple. Just the heart & some felt alphabet stickers.
To make the heart you first need a square piece of patterned paper.
Fold your square vertically & horizontally as shown below. Your final heart will approximately the size of one of your quart sections.

Fold the bottom up towards the centre crease

Next flip your paper over so the pattern is facing you & fold the bottom corners up to meet the centre creases.

Flip your paper over again so this is what you see.

No fold the top corners into meet the centre creases.

So this is the trickiest bit. Take the top point of your paper & pull it down to meet the bottom point without creases the white triangles at the side.

This picture shows how the paper is pulled down inside the white triangles a little better.

Flatten your crease

No you need to fold in you white triangles towards the centre.

Finally you just need to fold in the corners of rectangular ear to create the top of your heart shape.

Flip your paper over & this is what you should get! Cute eh?

As well as amking cards with them you could use them as little place savers in books or make a fun garland out of them. That's my next plan!

Hope you all had a great Valentines Day & are still feeling the love today :)
Thanks for visiting.

Monday's Featured Digi - Fall Love

Happy Monday bloggers!
Today's featured digi is Fall Love!

I recently demo'd at Hobbycraft in Sheffield & the theme was Valentines & all the papers I used had wonderful sweetie theme. Everything was shades of pink & red which I love.

I cut the heart biscuits out of the patterned paper to hang by ribbon from the top of the card using foam pads & Kraft card as a sandwich to give them dimension.

I coloured her using a mix of Copics (skin) and Promarkers. The sentiment was just created in my Serif programme.

She's a lovely image to colour & I love colouring hair which this is perfect for.
I hope you like her.
She's available now in my Shop
Happy colouring

You're Sew Sweet

Hi to all my lovely new followers!
Its great to have you follow my little blog & you really are 'sew' sweet!! :)
I have another digi for you today & another chance to win a freebie!
I was making a card for my sister who has just taken up sewing and is loving all things to do with needlecraft so I decided to make her a sewing themed card.
I wanted to keep the card simple as that suits her style too. This is what I came up with...

I'm actually rubbish with a sewing machine & only have a mini one for crafting. I quite like the random sewing around the page though as it add the the handmade look. That's my excuse anyway! haha :)
While I was making it I thought it would make a great Mother's Day card too so I thought I'd give it a go!
I printed my digi onto Kraft Card first alone with the sentiment. I then cut this out & mounted on a 6x6 card blank.

To get my patterned sewing machine & matching bobbins I used my DrawPlus programme from Serif. As the digis are PNG files you can take them into your software programmes & lay them on top of patterned papers. These papers are from the EchoPark Sweet Day digital collection.
I copied the paper into Drawplus & then laid my image on the top.
Once printed I was able to cut out the bits I wanted and use silicone glue to give my image dimension.
Inside each card I added extra papers, stitched around the edges & then further embellishments in the way of bobbins wrapped in twine.

This is the digi set of 'You're Sew Sweet' that goes on sale in  my shop today. It includes 3 sizes of bobbin, sentiment as well as the vintage sewing machine.

As a thank you to my new followers I would like to offer you all the opportunity to win this set! All you need to do is comment below. Feel free to share this post with your friends & followers, they just need to follow & comment to join in. I will be running the same competition on Instagram & will draw a winner from each. You can enter both, just remember to leave a comment on each. :)
I'll make the draw tomorrow evening.
Good Luck xx

Hobbycraft Demo Day

Hi crafters,
Another first for the weekend! Not only am I launching my first digi stamp collection but I've been doing my first demo day at Hobbycraft in Sheffield.
I was so nervous beforehand and I've been busy planning for a couple of weeks. All that hard work is finally paying off and I'm ready for a relaxing evening in front of the TV, but not before I share a few pics from the day.

This was my table at the front of the store! :)

I had so much fun I was only supposed to be there until 3pm but ended up staying until 6pm!!

I met some wonderful people who stopped by to watch me demonstrate my digi stamps & even had a go themselves. This is Tina who I met. She'd never used Promarkers before & by the time we'd done she was convert buying two packs! Shame I'm not on commission haha!

Here was the finished picture Tina did. Fab! This image isn't on sale yet  as it seemed out of season but I may offer it as a freebie in the coming days so keep an eye on the blog for details...

A proud Tina holding her coloured Time For Tea Digi stamp! :)
The greta news is the team at Hobbycraft were so pleased they want me to come back on the 1st weekend of every month & we may be adding workshops & classes too! Soooo excited!
So if you're in the South Yorkshire area please pop in on the 2nd March at Hobbycraft, Retail park nr Meadowhall & please say hello. I'd love to see you.

Loved up February

Its no coincidence that my first release is totally loved up! It is February after all, the month of love and Valentines! So here are some truly smooshy cards to get you in the mood! :)

My first card uses the IHeartU stamp  and lots of little tags and a fun mini envelope for you to put a secret note in.
I coloured my cute girl with Promarkers. I love colouring hair - its kind of my thing so I make sure all my images have plenty of hair! For some reason my girl seemed like a blonde right from the get go - weird I know but I think it works. :)

I've used a tiny bow in the hair and glitter on the banner so the sentiment stands out.

The envelope is sealed only with the paperclip so you can sneak your little love note inside. Cute!
Look out for more pics from my design team coming soon.
