Make A Splash

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, today I’m sharing a spring scene featuring a Distress Oxide watercoloured background and the Rain or Shine Mice A4 Printed Cardstock from Time For Tea Designs. I love how this rainy-day card turned out.

To create the background, I used Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides on watercolour paper. I smooshed each ink onto acetate, spritzed it with water, then pressed the acetate onto the paper. I added another light spritz of water and repeated the process, heat-setting between layers. To finish, I added white splatter for extra interest.

Next, I adhered the inked panel to a card base using liquid glue. I die-cut grey cardstock with the Stitched Window Cover Die and attached the frame to the card base.

I then die-cut the mice and coordinating elements from the Rain or Shine Mice A4 Printed Cardstock using the coordinating dies. The small flowers are from the Just Married stamp set, which I also die-cut with coordinating dies. I used a combination of liquid glue and 1mm double-sided foam tape to adhere all the elements to the card.

Congratulations You're Engaged

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! I’m sharing an engagement card using dies and high-quality printed cardstock from Time For Tea Designs, along with Ranger Distress Watercolour Pencils. This card is in celebration of the engagement of Jo (owner of T4T) and Ant. Congratulations to you both!

For the background, I used a Distress Watercolour cardstock panel. I selected Watercolour pencils in Chipped Sapphire and Evergreen Bough to colour the cardstock. To prepare the pencils, I soaked the tips in water and scribbled them onto a piece of acetate. I spritzed the acetate with additional water, then pressed it onto the watercolour paper to transfer the colour. After allowing the panel to dry fully, I die-cut it using the Snow Flurry Cover Die. Finally, I used liquid glue to attach the panel securely to a card base.

I cut several elements from the Just Married A4 Printed Cardstock, using coordinating dies. The sentiment, from You’re Engaged A4 Printed Cardstock, is also die-cut. The bouquet is from Bearing Gifts. The stamp set isn't available, but the coordinating dies are on sale.

I used liquid glue to stick all of the elements to the card and added Glossy Accents for extra shine.

To complete the card, I added three Designer Enamel Dots from the Sweet Summer Dots collection.

When the postal strike ends here in Canada, I will pop this in the mail for you, Jo!

Just Married Kitties

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! Today’s card was a request from a friend whose niece is getting married in September. I combined the Just Married A4 Printed Cardstock and Just Married stamp set to create a personalized card in their wedding colours, navy and lavender.

I ink-blended Shaded Lilac Distress Ink on the edges of an A2 card base and set it aside.

I pressed Shaded Lilac Distress Ink onto the Cosy Sweater 6x6 Stencil, then sprayed it with water, and finally pressed Distress Watercolour Cardstock into it, letting it sit for a few minutes.

I spritzed the paper with more water, once I removed the stencil, so the colour could run. I heat set this with my Ranger Heat tool. Next, I pressed Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink onto my craft mat, spritzed it with water, and pressed the watercolour panel into it. I then added splatters of Watercolor Distress Pencils in the matching ink colours.

I ink-blended the edges of the panel with Uncharted Mariner and Shaded Lilac Distress Ink, die-cut it with a stitched rectangle die, and used double-sided tape to stick it to the card base.

I stamped the car and the balloons from the Just Married stamp set, and coloured them with Copic Markers. The rest of the images and the sentiment were from the Just Married A4 Printed Cardstock. I die-cut all of the images with the coordinating dies. I love being able to mix and match the printed images and stamped images to fit your needs!

I used liquid glue and double-sided foam tape to adhere the images to the card and added Summer Haze Designer Enamel Dots to complete the card.
