Have a Cool Birthday!

Happy Saturday Teatimers! So what did you think of the new release, What's on your wish list or did have to have it all?
I just love the Cool Critters set I love the little kitty with their Twister Ice lolly and I couldn't resist giving the racoon a little Fab lolly.
To make my card I stamped out all the images from the Cool Critters stamp set, I always do three of each so while I have my pens out I can colour up a few at a time. This always helps when you need a quick card later on as they are already cut and coloured up and ready to go.
There wasn't a lot of fancy colouring I just added some dots for texture on the ice cream. Then to make the Fab lolly I used my coloured Gelly Roll pens to add the sprinkles then cut them out with the coordinating dies
Going with the Twister theme I really wanted to create a fun summer background with the Slimline Candy Stripes die unfortunately this is no longer available in the shop at the minute if you haven't got it  though you could use and striped die or maybe a striped stencil. I cut the die out with white cardstock, pink and green paper and then out of white fun foam. I love using fun foam as an alternative to foam tape when it's quite a fiddly die to stick. I stuck the white card onto the foam tape using cosmic shimmer glue.
I made up a white card base just a little wider than the die and stuck my foam base straight onto that. Next I just laid and stuck in my coloured pieces in a pink, green and then leave a gap pattern.
I was just going to stick my critters and van straight on top but I'd gone for the same twister colour scheme for the Ice Cream Van and it blended into the background too much. To counteract this I used one of the circle dies from the new Simple Circle Dies to cut out a velum circle which I popped underneath this just mutes the background colours a little so your focus is on the Ice Cream Van.
Once the van was in place I popped on my critters and added my sentiment which I white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies. I just love how Time for Tea coordinating dies cut out the sentiment too.
I hope you like my card for today the new release is just super fun if you would like to pick any of it up in the shop or anything else you can get 10% off your order using code T4TNATALIE10
Have a great weekend and I will see you same time next week 💓

Here's The (Giant) Scoop

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. I am so excited to show my first card using the brand new July release. It is filled with so many goodies, from stamp sets to stencils, number and alphabet dies and a paper pad! I am featuring the Sundae Sweeties Clear Stamp Set and the Sweet Summer 6x6' Paper Pad, which is gorgeous for my card. I feel like I say that about every paper pad Jo releases!

What is extra special about this particular paper pad, is that I created the background coloured panels in some of the designs in the pack, including the one I used on my card! It is very exciting for me to have some of my artwork used in this way.

I stamped, coloured (with Copics) and die cut my kitty holding the giant ice cream cone, as well as the popsicles from the Cool Critters Clear Stamp Set. To add sprinkles to the ice cream, I used the small circle in the Birthday Bear Clear Stamp Set and stamped it using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide.

For the back panel, I used the Mini Slimline Scallop Dies to die cut out some white card stock using the largest die in the set. I added colour to this using my BG13 Copic marker to match the colours on the popsicle. I also die-cut out the scalloped frame using the same die set.

I cut down the patterned paper so that it fits behind the frame, and used liquid glue to add it to the blue-green background. I then added the white scalloped frame, followed by the kitty and ice creams. I stamped the sentiment from "Cool Critters" and cut it out with the
coordinating dies and then added it to the card using some foam tape to add dimension. To complete the card, I added some white gel pen highlights and stickles to the cherry for some sparkle.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, you can use code T4TANNALISA10 when you visit the shop to get a 10% discount on your entire order, including the new release!

Cherry On Top

Hello crafty friends, DT Kitty here. So I hope you are all enjoying the brand new releases - aren't they fabulous! I know the whole team have had a ball creating with them all. Here is my first creation using some of the new releases, I had to create a shaker card of course!!

I started off by creating by background first. I blended Peacock Feathers & Twisted Citron Distress Inks into a smooth blend. I stamped the confetti from the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set randomly onto the blue part to add a little detail to the background. I used the Sundae Sweeties Stamp Set for the images and sentiment. I coloured them with Copics then used the Sundae Sweeties Die Set to cut them out. I created my shaker frame using the Smile Inverted Scallop Frame Dies. I added my acetate and sequins then used a piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Summer Paper Pad at the back of the panel. I assembled everything onto the card, attaching the images with foam pads to make them pop!

As always do feel free to use my DT discount code T4TKITTY10 which gives you 10% off your order over on the website.

Thank you for checking out my card today and I hope you are loving the release. Don't forget to share your creations over on our Facebook Group.

Celebrate! It's your birthday!

Hello crafty friends! Today it's new release day here at Time for Tea Designs and it's a really yummy one!

Making my card I started ink blending a rectangle panel with the "Diamond Burst" stencil and squeezed lemonade Distress Oxide ink.

I then cut a white frame with the biggest die from the "Smile Inverted Scallop Frame" die set, I glued on the card base and I splattered with a bit of ground espresso Distress Oxide ink loosened with water.

I stamped images from the new "Hello Cupcake" stamp set, I colored them with alcohol markers and I cut them with coordinating dies.

I also die cute three times the "celebrate" word from the "Large Scallop Celebrate Frame" die set (two from white cardstock and one from white glitter cardstock). I glued them one above the others and I colored it with brown alcohol markers.

I put everything together with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape, I added a sentiment from the stamp set and that's all.

I hope you'll like this card and enjoy the new release 'cause it's really so sweet and adorable.

Thank you so much for passing by today and don't forget that you can get a 10% discount off your Time for Tea order with the code T4TSILVIA10.

Hugs, Silvia.

Lucky Duck !

Hello all Tea Timers, how are you doing this week? It's so hot here and we are all looking for a cool place to stay. My card today is inspired by this.

I chose this set Lucky Duck to recreate my scene, a lake and a happy duck.

I did the whole scene in one layer using masking and coloured with alcohol markers.

To give a more intense touch to the shade of the sky I used Distress Oxide.
I hope you like my inspiration!!!

I remind you that this is the week of the new release and Jo has prepared a Facebook live  for us to present it to you and have the chance to win !!

Copic colouring tutorial for a super cute birthday card!

Hey everyone, Lien here. Today I am sharing this card on the Time For Tea Designs Youtube Channel. I am featuring the Paper Plane PalsHogs & KissesHillside Village and Car Critters stamp sets from Time For Tea Designs. For the colors on this card, I used all copic markers! I hope you like it xxx

You can click HERE to watch on the Time for Tea Designs Youtube channel.

I started by stamping out the scenery and images for this card using no-line coloring ink. I used the pig from Car Critters, the planes from Paper Plane Pals and the scenery from the Hillside Village stamp set. I colored everything in using my copic markers (combination listed below), also the complete background. Afterwards, I used the matching dies to cut everything out.

  • Pig: E13, E11, E01, E00
  • Sky: B000, B00, B01, B02
  • Grass: YG03, YG23, YG17
  • Trees: E59, E57 / YG03, YG23, YG17 / YG00, YG03
  • Plane: W6, W4, W3, W2

The fit a slimline card base, I used the Slimline Scalloped Trio Circle Nesting Dies to cut the bottom (scenery from the Hillside Village) and another panel for the sky. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Hogs & Kisses onto the grass. I also stamped out a speech bubble from the same set to add next to the critter. With all the elements ready, I assembled the card. I finished it of using a black glaze pen and some bubbles. I hope you like the card!

Under the weather foiled shaker card

Hello there, crafty friends!

Welcome back to our blog, it is DT Natalia with you here today.

This is the last card I made with some of my favourite supplies from older releases - because, as you've probably seen announced, there is a new release coming up on Thursday! And I can't wait for you to see it!!

I have already shared a reel on Saturday showing you how I did the foiling on this card with the Scattered Raindrops stencil without a foiling machine!! I used versamark ink and WOW bonding powder with WOW fab foils to do the rainy background of this shaker.

I used the cat and sentiment from the All Occasions Critters stamp set and coordinating dies and the smallest of the Smile inverted scalloped frame dies to build my shaker part. To build the shaker, I die cut the frame from white cardstock 7 times - did I go overboard? Probably! But I wanted my sequins to move freely, so mission accomplished!

For the inside of the shaker, I used the cloud die and cut that from vellum and the fence die which I cut from white cardstock, both from the Windmill Add On die set which is fantastic for scene building! The grass was ink blended with Mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade and lucky clover and then I used the hillside stitched die.

I used the outer stitched frame from the autumn scene cover plate to create my A2 (4.25x55") base card panel - this is one of the dies I reach for the most! I love how much the stitched detail changes the look of the card.

You can use the code T4TNEILA10 to get a 10% off your shop!

I hope you like the card and I wish you a happy week!

Sending hugs,
Natalia

Hooray Hamsters

Good afternoon everyone DT Lyndsey here and today I want to share this cute card with you featuring the Hooray Hamster stamp and die set.

I took inspiration from my team mate Lien for this card as it was a perfect excuse to use up some multicoloured strips of card I had left over from another project.

To start I coloured my Hamsters using my Spectrum Noir markers (colours listed below in order of lightest to darkest)

Hamster 1 - EB1, EB2, GB8

Hamster 2 - IG1, IG3, IG5

Hamster 3 - BG1,  BG3, BG5

Hamster 4 - TN1, TN2, TN3

Balloon and Hat- LG1, LG3, LG5

Once the images were coloured and die cut, the card was so quick and easy to make. I stacked up my Hamsters on the RH side of a DL card base. I then took a selection of card strips and added them to the LH side of the card so they protrude in at different lengths dependant on the space available and that's it card done!.

I think this is perfect for a fun birthday card and the coloured strips down the side could be changed to give a more tonal effect if required, I just fancied a bit of rainbow today. 🌈

Thanks for joining me here on the blog today, don't forget to use my code T4TLYNDSEY10 for 10% off your order in store.

You are Elephantastic Take 2!

Happy Saturday everyone, have you been enjoying the sunshine this week? It’s been far too hot for the craft room and my mojo seems to have disappeared at the worst time. I needed to make some quick teacher cards and presents though, but what to do when your brain is hot and bothered and the ideas aren’t coming?!

Everyone seemed to love my elephant card from the other week so I decided to make a couple more of those. I then mixed it up a little for the other teacher adding a little green to the mix and a different elephant. It adds a more masculine feel but I still like that it has a cuteness to it. Mixing up old designs is a great way to get the ideas flowing and to make quick cards.

For my card you can find all the details for on my previous blog post here just with the change of green oxides and a different elephant. Alongside that though I wanted to make some message sticks to add to my presents. I got three little succulents from IKEA and I wanted to add a little message to them. To do this I used the You are Awesome sentiment die

I cut the outline out twice once in white card-stock and again in white fun foam and layered them on top of each other. Then for the You are awesome sentiment I coloured up the white cardstock with some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink and then cut it out. With it being small it's much easier doing it this way around. To make sure my letters were all lined up when adding it onto the foam and card base I used the negative die cut as a template. Laying it over the top and piecing the letters back in that way. Its a bit fiddly but its the best way I've found to get them centred, straight and the same width between the letters. I made three of these one for each plant once the top was all finished I got out my wooden skewers and chopped them down to size I went so they were just a little taller than the plant. To stick them together I used my glue and stuck it at the back if you wanted you could also add a little peg and add a little note underneath but I didn't think about that until after typically lol!

So that's my project finished up for this week I hope you like it those message sticks are perfect for all occasions I've made Christmas ones before, you could also do Happy Birthday ones wherever your imagination takes you. If you want to get ay of the products I used today in the shop or anything else you can get 10% off your order using code T4TNATALIE10. Have a great weekend and I will see you all next week.

Lucky Duck Friends

Hello everyone, and happy Friday! Today, I share a cute scene of an adorable couple of duck friends from the Lucky Ducks stamp set. I absolutely love mallard ducks, see them daily on my walks, and often talk to them and bring them seeds. There is one family with 20 ducklings that I have been watching for weeks, it is adorable to see them all line up in a row.

I started by stamping the sitting duck onto some white card stock. I then created a mask of this duck and cut it out and placed it over the duck on the card. I then stamped the pond from the Skating By Penguins and the grass on top of the duck. I added the bees from the All Occasion Critters Clear Stamp Set, as well as the flowers and extra grass and cattails.

Once the scene was stamped, I coloured it in with my Copics and cut it with my paper trimmer into a square. I used an older T4T square nesting die to cut out the lined paper from the Brighter Days 6x6' Paper Pad. I adhered the scene to this and added some highlights with my white Gelly Roll Pen. I then added the sentiment "I'm a lucky duck to have you as my friend."

To finish the card, I added the second duck which I stamped, coloured and cut out and applied to the card using some foam tape. I thought the added dimension of the second duck was just the ticket!

Hogs & Kisses

Hello crafty peeps! It's time for my usual weekly post for Time For Tea Designs. It's been insanely hot in my craft room this week so I tried to cool down by making a raining card (mad I know!). Just love these cute piggies...

For this card I used Time For Tea Hogs & Kisses Stamp Set. I coloured my image with Copics and fussy cut him out. I created the background using my Cracked Pistachio & Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks. I then used the Scattered Raindrops Stencil and gently blended the inks over the top. I added a layered strip of card to the left side. I used Slimline Postage Stamp Frame Dies to create the postage square and added a little ink over the top. The spotty paper is actually a little sneak peek at one of the new papers in the next release...so keeps your eyes peeled for that! I heat embossed my sentiment onto black card and added some clear bubbles to finish.

Do take advantage of my discount code which is T4TKITTY10 which will give you 10% off your next order at Time For Tea Designs.

That's all from me today, thank you for joining me again and I will be back next week with another creation. Stay cool in the heat everyone and enjoy it if you can!

Be Slothy Paper Hugs | Video with Tasha

 Hey Crafty People!

It's Tasha and I'm back with some more inspiration; this month I'm breaking out the absolutely adorable Be Slothy stamp set; this is one I've had in my stash and been wanting to use for ageees!!!

I have a video explaining how I put this card design together and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!!!

Ready, Set, SLOTH!

I stamped the images using Fine Detail ink from Pinkfresh Studios, as this is alcohol marker friendly, and I planned to colour them with my Copics.

In order to avoid icky bleeding & smearing when you colour, you really need to let that ink dry well before you try to add any type of alcohol marker; I left mine overnight, which I think is definitely longer than you have to leave it but I really wanted to be secure that it was 100% dry.

Copic Markers Used:

Sloths: W0, W1, W3, W5
Branches: E25, E57, E59
Leaves: YG17, YG23
Blanket: B05, B24

For the background, I used the Unbe-LEAF-able stencil to add some soft greens but I really wanted to keep it simple, so I only used two shades of Altenew Crisp Dye inks.

I kept the rest of the design really clean as I wanted there to be quite a bit of white space, and I really love how it came together in the end!

Thank you so much for spending this time with me, I always appreciate it so much.

I'd love to know what you think about my card, so don't forget to leave a comment! :)

Have a lovely, happy, safe, wonderful week!

Smile, let's take a coffee

Hello Tea Timers! Silvia's back today sharing with you a coffee theme slimline card.

I started cutting a white panel with the "Tulip Add-on Horizontal" and the "Slimline Postage Stamp Frame" die sets and I splattered it with a rainbow combination of Distress Oxide inks.

I then glued some cloudy patterned paper from the "Brighter Days" paper pad under the tulips and I die cut a purple panel using the middle die from the "Slimline Scallop Nesting" die set.

I stamped images from the "All Occasion Critters" and "Bears Picnic" stamp sets, I colored them with alcohol markers and I cut them with coordinating dies (you can find them here and here).

Next I die cut the "smile" word from black cardstock with the "Smile Inverted Scallop Frame" die set, I heat embossed in white a sentiment from the "All Occasion Critters" stamp set and I put everything together.

Thank you so much for stopping by taking a peek and remember you can get a 10% off your Time for Tea order with my code, T4TSILVIA10.

I wish you and amazing day. Hugs, Silvia.

See You Soon

Hello dear friends how are you? Claudia here to wish you a good week.

Today I have a card a little different than usual, I created small windows that show the landscape and this cute bear taking a walk in the car.

For this scene, I imagined the panda leaving for summer vacation and greeting his friends with a "See you soon."
To create it I combined two sets of stamps , Car Critters   and   Hillside Village

To prepare the base of my card, I used two sets of die cuts from the latest collection, Slimline Postage  and      Slimline Hillside Diesand I did the coloring with alcohol markers.
I had fun creating this card, I hope you like it.

Don't forget to use the code T4TCLAUDIA10 to get a FANTASTIC 10% discount!

Hello crafty by friends,

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend! It’s Miki here and today I am back with my last Guest Designer card for Time For Tea Designs. I've fallen in love with slimline cards since getting a hold of the Slimline Scalloped Trio Circle Nesting Dies so I thought I'd share one idea with you today.

To start with, I ink blended the sky using a clouds stencil and the following distress oxides:

  • Spun Sugar
  • Wilted Violet

To finish off the sky, I added some splatters in Wilted Violet and white gouache. Next, I focused on the unicorns. These are from the Unicorn In Training Clear Stamp Set. I stamped the critters and some of the smaller images in the set and colored those in using the Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. I've tried to include all the colors below, but I went a bit crazy so you'll have to forgive me if I missed any!

  • Unicorns
    • PP3-PP1 + blender - body
    • IG3 - legs
    • PL3-PL1/ MG3-MG1 - hair
    • MG3, MG1, CT3, CT1, LG3, LG1, BT4, BT2 - rainbow horns
  • Rainbow & clouds
    • MG4-MG1, CT3-CT1, GT3-GT1, IB3-IB1
  • Star & Lollipop
    • MG3, MG1, CT3, CT1, GT3, GT1, PL3, PL1

Once all the stamps were colored I went ahead and fussy cut them. To add some more detail I added white highlights in gel pen and for added sparkle I used the Diamond Stickles.

Now that my unicorns were ready I focused on creating the card base. I used the Slimline Scalloped Trio Circle Nesting Dies to die cut the sky using the smallest die, some white cardstock with the medium die and finally some purple cardstock using the largest die in the set. I glued those together on the cardbase. Initially I was only planning to have a white embossed sentiment on a black strip but I thought it would look quite nice to emboss on the panel directly as well so I ended up doing both. I embossed the "follow your" in white embossing powder on a black strip and the Dreams in black on the sky panel. I added my sentiment strip, the unicorns and accessories all using foam tape and that was it!

I had so much fun creating this dreamy card and if you're like me and you've been scared of making slimline cards, trust me: it's more fun than it looks so I hope you give it a go!

Thanks so much for tuning in!

Hugs,
Miki ♥

Have a mice day!

Hello crafty friends!

It is DT Natalia - I hope you had a lovely weekend, the weather was so hot! Did you enjoy it, or are you a bit like and prefer it a tad cooler?

I have a card I made with some older products from the Time for Tea Designs shop that are some of my favourites of all times. I combined two sets for this card: Bake my day stamp set and baked with love stamp set. I love both, cooking and eating (the latter even more!) so these sets were a must in my stash! I love that the coordinating die for the Bake my day set cuts the oven's door so you can open it - it's so cute!

So I started off by ink blending some victorian velvet distress oxide with the Brick Wall stencil and I used iced spruce for the floor. I then used the middle one of the Slimline Scallop nesting dies to cut out the panel. I really like the scallop effect in cards, and the little pierced detail it has as well. I then used the circles from the Slimlime scalloped trio circle nesting die set as I thought it would give it some more interest. I used vellum on the circle 'windows' to mute the brick colour a bit and allow the critters to be the focal point.

I coloured all the stamps with a mix of my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and my Ohuhu brush pen markers. I am trying to use the Ohuhu more as that is the only way I can get familiar with the colours and combinations - but it's always hard to change from what you are used to!

I used a bit of vellum behind the oven door so it looks like an oven door, and I put a pie inside!

I used double sided sticky pads to mount the mice and accessories to the panel, and then some fun foam behind the panel to mount it onto a slimline (8.5x3.5") cardbase.

This must be one of my favourite scenes of all times - those guys seem to be having a great time together!

Did you know you can use the code T4TNEILA10 at the shop to get a 10% off? ❤

Sending hugs,

Natalia

I'm Quackers about you!

Happy Saturday, this week has been so busy and Saturday has come around so fast. This week I got to play with some of the last few releases that I hadn't had a chance to use yet. Just like last week I wanted to create a different look with the dies than just using them as a straight die cut.

I began by cutting out the mini slimline scallop dies and then using that as a template to cut out the size of my back panel. On the back panel I stencilled up some blue clouds using the Slimline Scene Builder Stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress oxide ink. Then I layered on top of that the Sun Ray Cover Plate Die that I had blended with Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks. Once that was laid on top I could add the frame I cut using the Mini Slimline Scallop Dies. I made sure not to stick right to the edge on the bottom so I could tuck my little duckies in.

The ducks and dragonfly are from the Lucky Duck Stamp Clear Stamp Set they were really simply coloured with warm grey Copics  to add some shading to their white feathers and finished off with some R11 for the cheeks and three little dots using a white gelly roll pen.  I cut these out and popped them on my card so I could see where to put my sentiment.

For the sentiment I couldn't stamp straight onto the card as it was different layers but I didn't want to loose the details by adding a block sentiment strip. To get around this I used Velum so you can still see the details underneath, I used Staz on ink for this so that it didn't smudge.

I still felt like it was missing something so that's when I decided to colour up the dragonfly and I added the little heart speech bubble from the Bearing Gifts Clear Stamp Set. I finished my card up by mounting it onto some black cardstock and that was it finished up. I hope this gives you some encouragement and ideas to try new ways with your dies. After all you really want to get the most out of them. If you liked my card today and want to get any of the products or anything else from the shop you can get 10% off using code T4TNATALIE10.

Hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you all next week!

Flying By to say Hi

Hello and happy Friday! Annalisa here, flying by (I wish!) to say hi with this bright summer card featuring the Paper Plane Pals and Hillside Village stamp sets.

I stamped the trees from the Hillside Village down and then stamped the bunny from Paper Plane Pals and then masked him out to stamp the paper plane and the two clouds. I also stamped the birds, the sentiment, the dotted heart lines and the single cloud.

Once everything was stamped, I got to work colouring the scene with my Copic markers. I then die-cut the scene using the Rectangle Stitched Nesting Dies (an older T4T product). I then cut down some black card stock and some plaid patterned paper to add behind the scene.

I adhered the scene to the black panel and the patterned paper using liquid glue and then stuck the group of them to some white card stock.

Thank you so much for checking out my blog post, you can use code T4TANNALISA10 when you visit the shop to get a 10% discount on your entire order.
