Fairy Happy Birthday Scene Building & Copic Colouring Tutorial

Hi, Jo here with the details of the card we made during our FB Live Event Thursday evening.

Be sure to check out the video below for more detail on the colouring techniques used and how I put the final scene together.

I spent a bit of time in todays video talking about how I colour my images and how I look for the highlights to help give them some dimension.

I demonstrated 2 different skin tone combinations and 2 different hair combinations too.

Each of my fairies is holding one of the accessory stamps in the set. The cupcake, gift and wand are great for them to hold but could also be used to make some pretty background patterns.

I used Stickles in Stardust to make their wings shimmer!

This toadstool house is super cute and Ant came up with a great idea of making a whole village using them and colouring them all differently. I really need to try this as I think it would look amazing!

I framed my scene with the Smile Scalloped Frame Die Set. This really does work to bring the whole card together, especially with the white embossed sentiment.

I really hope you like my card and enjoy the video.

Don't forget to join us for another FB Live Craft with Jo and Ant next Thursday at 8PM GMT.

Jo xoxo

Hoppy Birthday

Hello everyone, DT Annalisa here and this week my inspiration project is a Hoppy Birthday card featuring the brand new Hip Hop Horray stamp set. I just love the bunny in this set who is jumping for joy - and that worm! Just so cute.
Don't forget that Time For Tea Designs runs a monthly 'anything goes' challenge which is really easy to enter. Simply make something using your Time For Tea Designs images and post them with the hashtag #timeforteadesigns and you're entered to win! Challenges run monthly, and we will have a spotlight and a prize winner at the end of each challenge on Facebook and Instagram.
To start I stamped and coloured the elements in the set with copic markers. I coloured the background with copics to create an outdoor spring scene.
Next, I die cut the largest frame from the Smile Sentiment and Scalloped Frame Die Set for the border and popped it up with some foam tape to give the card some dimension. I adhered the frame and the scene to some 80 lb Neenah Desert Storm card stock.
To finish the card I stamped and cut the Hoppy Birthday sentiment and adhered it to the card with liquid glue.

Happy hearts birthday

DT Annalisa here today. It has been freezing outside in my kneck of the woods so I wanted to share a spring themed card. I used the new heart grid masking stencil and the large square masking stencil from Time For Tea Designs as well as images from four separate stamp sets - Say Anything, Warm Winter Wishes, Woodland Critters and Butterflies.

I used both the positive of the square stencil and the negative of the heart stencil to create the center area of the card. I applied Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides with my Blender Brushes. I love how you can mix and max the stencils to come up with different designs.

Next, I stamped and coloured the little critters with my copics, cut them out and adhered them to the blank insides of the hearts. I stamped the 'Happy birthday' to the top heart.

For the background, I used some patterned paper from my stash with some teal foil leaves on them (hard to see in the photo). I used some washi tape with silver foil on it to add extra detail around the center of the card.

Finally, I used liquid pearls and some enamel dots to finish up the card.

Our Card today uses the brand new Hip Hop Hooray Clear Stamp Set.
I stamped, coloured with Copics and fussy cut all my images.

I used the Large Circle Masking stencil to create my background directly onto my card blank and I used 2 of the stamps to heat emboss a pattern onto it.

I stamped the 'Hoppy' sentiment from the new set underneath my patterned panel.
The card blank I used is also new!

These are our 5" square Card Packs which are super smooth and 290gsm!

They are so awesome you can blend straight onto them!

I cut the Birthday sentiment from some super glittery red cardstock.

I also cut 2 further sentiments out of white cardstock and layered them all together.

I added the sentiment underneath 'Hoppy' with Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

I added the carrot to the bunnies paw & then adhered all my images to the patterned panel using Foam squares.

I added finishing touches by adding highlights with my White Gelly Roll Pen. I added Stardust Stickles to the Butterfly and Clear Nuvo Crystal Drops to my Toadstools.

I hope you enjoyed the card tutorial. Now its time to 'hop' along to our next stop!
