Warm Hugs!

Hi Tea Timers, welcome back to the blog. Today, I have a card using one of the new sets and combining it with one of the older standalone dies.

I thought the image of the two birds hugging in the new 'Seasons Tweetings' stamp set would pair perfectly with the 'Warm Hugs' sentiment die set.

Sets Used:

I first stamped out the images and fussy cut them out. The latest release does not including coordinating die sets. I then used Copic Markers to color the images.

I then die cut out a circle from a piece of cardstock to create a mask for my moon. I then took an A2 panel and adhered the circle to an upper corner of the card panel with low tack tape.

I then blended around the circle with Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxides. Once I finished ink blending the card panel, I removed the mask.

To blend the inside of the moon, I took the Pawsome Prints and blended it with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide. I made sure to move the stencil around to overlap the prints.

I then removed the stencil and splattered the panel with white watercolor to give it more interest.

I took the Warm Hugs sentiment and die cut it out of gold cardstock and set it to the side.

To assemble my card, I first adhered the branch with liquid adhesive and then added the birds on top with foam tape.

I then completed my card by adding the large sentiment to the bottom of my card panel with liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial today. Have you checked out the new release yet? All products I used are linked above. Don't forget to use the code T4TRANDY10 at checkout. Happy Crafting!
