Have A Cool Birthday!

 Hello Tea Timers!

Michelle from the Design Team here and today’s inspiration is a delightful summer birthday card featuring three of the cutest little ice cream cone critters, and I have to say, this one is absolutely scooper cute!

Supplies used:

Love Is In The Air

Cool Critters

Birthday Cake

I started by blending three soft pastel panels across the background in pink, green and yellow, one behind each ice cream cone. The colours are light and dreamy and give the card a gorgeous fresh sorbet feel. A gold border frames the whole scene and a scattering of gold droplets across the background adds a lovely touch of sparkle throughout.

Now for the stars of the show! Three adorable little animals are each tucked cosily into their very own ice cream cone. On the left, a sweet calico cat peeks out from a mint green scoop topped with whipped cream, a chocolate round and a cherry. In the middle, a fluffy little alpaca or sheep sits in a golden vanilla cone piled high with cream, a chocolate flake and a fresh strawberry on top. And on the right, the most precious little bunny nestles into a pink strawberry scoop, finished with cream and a cherry. Every single cone is perfection and I could not pick a favourite if I tried!

Each cone is beautifully detailed with a classic waffle pattern and the colouring across all three characters is so soft and cohesive, keeping the whole card feeling light and summery.

To finish everything off, the "have a COOL birthday!" sentiment is heat embossed in gold onto a clean white banner at the bottom, with COOL picked out in a bolder font for that fun extra emphasis. It is the perfect finishing touch to such a sweet and cheerful card!

This one is ideal for any summer birthday and guaranteed to make whoever receives it feel like the coolest person around.

Let’s Roll Into Birthday Fun!

Hello Everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team here and today we have a group of cute friends piling into a car with cake, presents and balloons, ready to celebrate in style!

Supplies used:

Car Critters

Let’s Party

Birthday Cake (sentiment)

To create the card, I started by ink blending a rainbow cloud background with some gold splatters to give it interest. The grassy hillside adds a pop of fresh green giving that cheerful outdoor feel. The road at the bottom helps ground the whole scene and really makes it look like they are on their way to the best party ever.

The star of the show has to be that adorable blue car, packed to the brim with gifts, a huge birthday cake and the happiest little passengers. I love how each character has their own personality, all dressed up in party hats and bringing the celebrations with them. It just feels so joyful and full of energy!

For the finishing touches, I added some gold swirly details for a bit of sparkle and movement, plus a bold pink sentiment banner to tie everything together and make that birthday message pop.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Birthday Wishes!

 Hello Tea Timers!

Michelle here from the Design Team and today's card is sweet and simple featuring lots of colour and a whole lot of cuteness.

Supplies used:

Birthday Cake

Warm Hugs

I went with a bright teal sunburst background (using Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides with blue metallic splatters) to keep everything fun and celebratory. I then filled the scene with all the sweet treats all coloured in with alcohol markers and white gel highlights.

From rainbow cake slices to frosting-topped cupcakes, there’s something to make every birthday feel extra special. The little squirrel with the doughnut and the shy penguin peeking in makes it even more adorable!

The bold “Birthday Wishes” sentiment is heat embossed on black cardstock and ties it all together, keeping the focus on the joyful, party-ready vibe. To finish the card,I framed the whole scene with a stitched scalloped rectangle.

This one would be perfect for anyone who loves cake, colour, and a little extra sweetness on their special day.

Happy New Year!

Hello everyone!

Design Team member Michelle here and we're ending the year with a bang and a bottle or two of fizzy pop with this super fun New Year celebration card!

Supplies used:

Hey There Critters

Birthday Cake

Let's Party

These adorable critters are all dressed up and ready to welcome 2026 in style, complete with party hats, golden balloons and confetti flying everywhere. I love how festive and bright this design turned out - it's the perfect way to send some joyful wishes for the year ahead.

To create the background, I took some navy cardstock and randomly stamped the confetti filler type stamps from the Let's Party stamp set with embossing ink and heat set it with gold powder. I added further splatters of gold paint to give it that firework sparkle.

The numbers were die cut from gold foiled cardstock and layered for extra dimension. I coloured the characters and bottles using alcohol markers, keeping the palette nice and celebratory with blues, golds and bright pops of green.

Finally, the sentiment was heat embossed in white to make it stand out against the dark background.

This card was so much fun to put together and is sure to make someone smile as they ring in the new year.

Wishing you all a happy and creative 2026!

Supplies used:

Crocodiles - Snappy Before Coffee

Strawberries - Birthday Cake

Cake - Eggstra Special Birthday

I love how bright and happy this scene turned out. The yellow brick wall gives everything a cheerful backdrop, and the pink gingham border adds a sweet finishing touch. Of course, the cake had to be strawberry-topped and frosted in pink to match the playful vibe.

The One Where You're Awesome!

 Hello Everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team and this week I am super excited to share a fun and heartwarming pop-up box card with the sweetest little friends gathered together for a cosy catch-up. Any guesses to what inspired this?!

Supplies used:

Hey There Critters

Sofa & Lamp - Home Is Where the Heart Is

Fountain - Birthday Cake

Umbrellas - Rain or Shine Mice

I started with a pop-up box card base using a rich purple cardstock which adds a lovely depth to the scene. I then ink blended a grass panel and gave it a light splatter to add texture and interest.

For the background, I created a magical night sky using ink blending in blues and purples. I added some gold and white splatters for a touch of starlight sparkle, and tucked in a layered city skyline to set the scene.

Right in the centre is of course the fountain that was created from some strategic frankensteining from the top of the wine bottle and partial stamping of the cake stand from the Birthday Cake stamp set. I hand drew the water coming out of at top and added some glitter to give it the extra shimmer. I did think about not including the fountain but I love how it brings the whole design together and gives it that extra special touch!

The real stars of the show are the adorable critters all coloured in with alcohol markers, all snuggled up on the comfiest yellow couch (I forgot what the original colour was!) I couldn’t forget about adding some of the extra details like the lamp and the colourful umbrellas in this iconic scene. I’ll let you decided which critter is which famous character!

For the sentiment, I made a custom one based on the naming convention of each of the episodes using a white gel pen on a banner cut from black cardstock.

I absolutely loved making this Friends inspired card! Could it BE any cuter and I hope it brought a smile to your face!

Wishing You A Happy Day!

Hello Everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team here and I bring to you some friendly crocodiles and their sweet little neighbours wishing you a happy day!

One of my favourite things to do is that I like to mix and match my stamp sets so that I get more from them. Today’s inspiration uses the following sets:

To make the card, I stamped all my images onto white cardstock with the exception of the windows. These were something that I made myself but is very easy to do - its just drawing a lot of rectangles, squares and having a little patience! I coloured the images with alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen.

The background is a panel of white cardstock that has been die cut with a stitched rectangle die and then ink blended with a brick stencil and pink ink.

For the sentiment, I kept this simple. I heat embossed this onto black cardstock with white embossing powder and die cut it with a banner die.

The fun part was laying out all the windows and deciding what was happening in each one. I wanted some of the windows to tell a story - the crocs having a brew to catch up on where to go after their beach holiday, a cute little crew that are either eyeing up the delicious smelling pie or wondering what is happening outside. For the other windows, just warm homey touches such as cacti, books and of course a buzzy bee!

I hope you all enjoyed the card.

Happy Crafting,

Michelle

Birthday wishes for a brand new year!

Hey Tea-timers

It's DT Ashlee here with my first T4T post for 2024!

A brand new year means a new year of birthday celebrations so I thought I would get a start on my birthday card stash...

I used these Time for Tea designs products on this card :

To make this card start by die cutting the quilted cover die from a peach cardstock. Then using the birthday wishes sentiment die, die cut it twice. Once from blue card and once from black card before adhering together slightly off set and adhering to the card base.

Stamp, colour and die cut a bunch of images from the birthday cake set. I used Spectrum noir tri-blend markers to colour mine and finished them off with a touch of white pen highlights....

Once they were all coloured and die cut I adhered them to the card base using varying levels of foam tape to create dimension and a fun little birthday treats section!

To complete the card and give it a little bling I added a touch of sequins, these were adhered in place using micro glue dots....

Thankyou for checking out my card today, I hope you enjoyed this birthday card....

Happy crafting, hugs Ashlee.
