Smile - Critter Portraits!

Hi Everyone!

Michelle here from the Design Team with a happy little card that’s sure to bring a smile. This bunch of cute critters have all been captured in their post poses for you all to see.

Supplies used:

Hey There Critters

Plant with Heart Leaves - Purrfect Day

Smile Inverted Scallop Frame Dies

Spiky Plant - Home Sweet Home

A5 Woodgrain Stamp

For all the critters, I stamped and coloured them all with alcohol markers and added white gel highlights. For the picture frames, I created them all myself in a design tool before printing them out and colouring them in your traditional frame colours of yellows and browns.

To create the background, I lightly ink blended a piece of white cardstock with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide with the edges being slightly darker to give it some depth. I then stamped over the ink blending with the spiky plant stamp from Home Sweet Home stamp set in a random pattern to create a cool wallpaper look.

For the floor, this was created from the woodgrain clear stamp and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide on kraft cardstock.

Once all the main parts were done, I hung up the framed critters on the wall and added plant pot for a cozy finishing touch.

The sentiment “Smile” sentiment was die cut twice from white cardstock with one of them being ink blended with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide as the shadow layer. I think it wraps up the card perfectly!

This one would be so lovely to send as a cheerful hello or just to brighten someone’s day.

Hope this card gave you something to smile about!

Halloween Critters!

Hello everyone!

Design Team member Michelle here with a spooky-cute Halloween card that’s ready for a frightfully fun night. This little crew of costumed critters has taken over the pumpkin patch and turned it into their very own haunted celebration.

Supplies used:

Hey There Critters

Jumping With Joy

Trick or Treaters Digital Stamps

Candles - Home Sweet Home

Simple Circle Dies

First, I stamped and printed all the images I needed. For the critters, I used a black fine liner to add details so that they were all dressed for the occasion - it was a hard to decide which critter would be which character as I had so many ideas!

The night sky was blended with Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Black Soot Distress Oxides giving wonderful hues of purples and blues, with splattered stars and a glowing moon to set the scene.

The moon was cut from white cardstock using a Simple Circle die before being ink blended around the edges with Weathered Wood Distress Oxide as well as using a stencil for the moon craters and adding a touch of glitter!

I added soft clouds to the sky to give it that extra spooky feel, a row of gravestones and pumpkins tucked in amongst them to build a playful background for the bunny vampire, bat mouse and sweet little Franken-squirrel.

The sentiment brings it all together. Have a spooktacular fright night. This card is perfect for Halloween happy mail or to add some fun to your festive decorations.

Wishing you a night full of costumes, candy and just the right amount of spooky!

Purrfect Day!

Hello Tea Timers!

Michelle from the Design Team and today I have a cosy card that’s full of books, plants, and purrfect little pals.

These two cats are clearly the queens or kings of this calm and colourful corner, and I loved building this sweet indoor scene.

Supplies used:

Purrfect Day

Home Sweet Home

For the soft blue wallpaper background, I used a striped stencil and ink blended with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. For the floor, I used Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide. Next, I added pops of colour with the books and potted plants. Each piece was stamped, coloured with alcohol markers, and arranged to feel like a peaceful little reading nook - complete with framed art on the wall and a stack of books ready for a catnap.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed this with ink and white powder onto bright pink cardstock. I thought this colour would help balance the pink book and the sentiment says it all - Hope your day is purrfect. Whether it’s for a friend, a birthday or just because, this card is sure to bring a smile.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

I’ll be back soon with more crafty cuteness to share!

Wishing You A Happy Day!

Hello Everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team here and I bring to you some friendly crocodiles and their sweet little neighbours wishing you a happy day!

One of my favourite things to do is that I like to mix and match my stamp sets so that I get more from them. Today’s inspiration uses the following sets:

To make the card, I stamped all my images onto white cardstock with the exception of the windows. These were something that I made myself but is very easy to do - its just drawing a lot of rectangles, squares and having a little patience! I coloured the images with alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen.

The background is a panel of white cardstock that has been die cut with a stitched rectangle die and then ink blended with a brick stencil and pink ink.

For the sentiment, I kept this simple. I heat embossed this onto black cardstock with white embossing powder and die cut it with a banner die.

The fun part was laying out all the windows and deciding what was happening in each one. I wanted some of the windows to tell a story - the crocs having a brew to catch up on where to go after their beach holiday, a cute little crew that are either eyeing up the delicious smelling pie or wondering what is happening outside. For the other windows, just warm homey touches such as cacti, books and of course a buzzy bee!

I hope you all enjoyed the card.

Happy Crafting,

Michelle

You are Spooktacular!

Hi everyone it's DT member Natalie here with another cute Halloween card. Halloween has to be one of of my favourite occasions to craft for purely because they are just so much fun to create. I love to customise regular stamps sets and make them Halloween themed like this one. I used the new Home Sweet Home set to create a sweet, spooky living room scene. The rest of the elements come from the Treat Yourself and Spooktacular Stamp sets. I stamped out, coloured and cut out all my elements. Then created my scene.
I cut out a black frame using the new A2 Nesting Frame Dies then used the size to cut out a rectangular piece of card to fit behind it. I drew a line for the floor and used my copics to create a woodgrain effect then used the Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide to create a warm glow behind the fire.
Once this was done I popped on my frame and added my scene and sentiment I love how well the sets just work together but then Time for Tea stamps sets always do which is what I love about them. It really helps stretch your stamps to get the most out of them.

Home Sweet Home - Making Your Sentiment the Centre Piece!

Happy Friday guys! Jo here with our update from last nights FB Live!

If you missed it you can see the edited version here.

I also announce our giveaway winners so be sure to watch right to the end to see if you won one of the cards I made for Create & Craft this week.

Today's card is a cosy home scene with our little Home Sweet Home Bear using our Home Sweet Home sentiment as the focal point.

I used the negative space from the die cut to make the decorative element in the centre of my card. I added the die cut word sweet in glitter card mounted on some fun foam for dimension.

In the video I show you how I use my Copics to colour the bear and this fun checked armchair. It's super easy but looks so cosy.

I used my Distress Oxides & Finetec Metallic Paints to create the splattered background on the focal panel.

I love the cosy autumnal colours and the cosy scene. During the live everyone felt our bear character was like a cute granddad bear reading his book by the fire. Adorable.

I hope you enjoyed the video and the FB Live if you were able to join me. Congratulation to our giveaway winners and we'll see you next Thursday for another FB Live at 8pm BST.

The products I used are listed below.

XOXO

Home Sweet Home Scene

Happy Friday! Annalisa here and today I am sharing a cozy scene of a bear reading his book by the fireplace. As the days are becoming shorter and the temperature dropping (sadly) this scene is becoming more common in many homes.

To create this card I used the Home Sweet Home Clear Stamp Set from the October Time For Tea Designs release. This stamp set is just so adorable and is so fun to colour.

I stamped the images in the cozy scene with my Inkon3 BLACKOUT Hybrid Ink Pad. I had to mask the bear, coffee cup and part of the candle in order to get the layered effect. Next, I coloured the images and background with my Copic markers.

Once the colouring was complete I cut out the scene using the Scalloped Slimline Die which was the perfect size. Next, I cut out some grey cardstock and adhered the scene to it with liquid glue.

To finish the card I coloured the edges of some cardstock with Y11 to match the wallpaper in my scene. I glued the scene and grey background to the cardstock to complete the card.

I hope you like it! If you are interested in purchasing any of the T4T products used in my project, I have a 10% discount code for the T4T store which can be used on anything, anytime and has no time limit - T4TANNALISA10.

Home Sweet Home Video Tutorial

Hi Vic here this morning and I have a fun Slimline card to share with you today.

I absolutely love the Home Sweet Home Clear Stamps the bears are adorable with all their little accessories.

I have also included how I make my Slimline card base in the video with measurements so it will be easier for you to create your own card base when using the slimline dies.

I used the Scalloped Slimline Trio Circle Nesting Dies along with the Scalloped Slimline Die to use on my card base. I then stamped and coloured all my images using copic markers and I then used the Home Sweet Home Coordinating Dies and run them through my die cutting machine.

I added some details with my white gel pen and then moved onto my sentiment. I used some pink and white card to die cut the Home Sweet Home Sentiment Die and started to adhere everything onto my card base.

To finish up the card I added some Nuvo Drops. I had so much fun making this card!
