Michelle from the Design Team here and today’s inspiration is a postage stamp scene with a trio of curious bunnies. It is so fun and I just love everything about it!

I started with a soft powder blue background stamped and heat embossed with the most charming collection of white outlined travel doodles - paper planes, suitcases, dotted flight paths and fluffy clouds. It gives the card such a dreamy, breezy feel and is the perfect backdrop for everything that follows.

The main feature of this card is three oversized postage stamp frames arranged across the background, each one framing a different adorable character. Tucked inside the stamps are a sweet white bunny, a warm brown bunny and a fluffy grey bunny, each peeking out from behind brightly coloured backgrounds of yellow, teal and pink. They are just the most precious little trio and each one has the rosiest little cheeks!

Dotted between the stamps are three bold black label boxes carrying the sentiment split across them, "Just", "Saying" and "Hello", which is such a fun and creative way to deliver the message. Little pink hearts are scattered around the background adding extra sweetness to the whole design.

The layout is beautifully balanced with the stamps overlapping slightly to give the card real depth and a lovely layered look that draws you right into the scene.

This card is just perfect for popping in the post to someone you have been meaning to catch up with, and what better way to say hello than with three of the cutest bunnies around!

Love Is In the Air

Palm Trees - Beach Buds

I started with a map background, all aged and creased with dotted travel routes, a compass and an anchor stamped across it. It gives the whole card such a brilliant adventurous feel right from the start and is the perfect base for all the fun to come!

Two tall palm trees frame either side of the scene, and squeezed into the little yellow car are our four travel buddies - a cool bunny rocking some red sunglasses, a fluffy sheep, a sweet grey kitten and the most adorable little panda, all piled in and ready to hit the road. The front of the car even has a "Beep Beep!" number plate, which made me smile every time I looked at it!

To finish everything off, the "Love Our Adventures Together" sentiment is embossed in white onto black cardstock, giving it a lovely bold contrast against the map background.

The whole card is framed with a classic red, white and blue airmail border, which ties the travel theme together perfectly and gives it that proper postcard feel.

This card would be perfect for a travel loving friend, a couple heading off on holiday or anyone who just needs a little reminder that adventure is always worth it!

Hello Everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team here and today’s card is all about friendship, fun, and a little bit of adventure. These sweet critters are having the best time flying through the sky on their paper planes!

Sentiment - Adventure Awaits

I created a soft rainbow cloud sky by inkblending with Worn Lipstick, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides. The different colours gives the card a warm and happy feel, perfect for what I wanted. I added some gold splatters to add a touch of sparkle.

The bunny and panda each have their own little paper plane, in soft pastel tones tying beautifully with the background and keep everything nice and cohesive. Their scarves and goggles add such a fun detail and really bring the scene to life. I also added some extra clouds and tiny hearts to give moment and extra whimsy!

The “Love our adventures together” sentiment heat embossed onto purple cardstock fits perfectly and makes this a lovely card for a special friend or someone you share lots of happy moments with.

Adventure Awaits New Driver Card

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! It is time for another congratulations card, as another of my beautiful nieces has gotten her driver's license! Once again, the Adventure Awaits stamp set was perfect to create a card to help celebrate the occasion.

On a panel of watercolour, I used Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink Re-inkers with water and a paintbrush. I added splatter using Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain. Once the panel was dry, I die-cut it using the Simple Square Nesting Dies and adhered it to a dark grey card base with liquid glue. I added white stitched lines with a Gelly Roll Pen for interest.

I stamped several images from the Adventure Awaits stamp set onto watercolour paper, coloured them with Distress Watercolour Pencils, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen and used liquid glue to adhere the images to the card.

Adventure Kitties

Hi. Design team member Koren Wiskman here. I hope that I can inspire you to create something fun with all of these awesome T4TD supplies. Today I am using the Adventure Awaits Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies to create this project. 

The card size is A2 (4.25in x5.5in.) The front panel is cut to 3.25in x 4.75in. This is my favorite size card to create. I have tried so many others but this size is the one that keeps my heart happy. My card bases are typically made using a neutral gray cardstock. These two details about my cards rarely change. 

Background

I started with a piece of dark navy blue cardstock. I have really been loving blue and orange color combinations lately. I cut a circle using a large nesting circle die from my stash. I ink blended some orange clouds onto the circle. I also cut out two of the provided clouds in the Adventure Awaits Coordinating Die Set. I did not stamp it, I simply used the die to cut out a cloud shape. I did a little ink blending around the edge of the clouds. The birds were stamped using waterproof black ink. 

Focal Image

The car image on this card is from the T4TD Adventure Awaits Stamp Set. I did however, cut off the luggage from the top of the image. This meant fussy cutting this image by hand. (insert sad face) I stamped it using black alcohol marker friendly ink and colored it using alcohol markers. The kitty driving is my cat, "MegaByte". MegaByte has a white triangle on his face. 

Sentiment

I stamped the "Adventure Awaits!" sentiment using clear ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder directly onto the dark blue card panel.

Everything was popped up using foam adhesive.

New Driver Congrats

Happy Friday. DT Annalisa here! Today’s card celebrates my youngest niece, who just received her driver’s license! This exciting milestone definitely calls for a congratulations card, and the Adventure Awaits stamp set was perfect for the occasion.

To create the background, I painted a light wash of blue, purple, and pink watercolors on watercolor paper. Once it was dry, I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it out and glued it to a grey card base.

I stamped the car and compass images from the Adventure Awaits stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating dies. To add some extra flair, I used a white gel pen to create accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. The map, which I stamped from the Happy Trails set and die cut using its coordinating dies, added a nice touch. I adhered all the images to the card using double-sided foam tape.

The sentiment is from a card I had in my stash. To finish the card, I added three white Sweet Summer Designer Enamel Dots for some extra detail.

Space Adventures Together

Hi! Michelle from the design team here and for this week’s post, we have two little space explorers off on an adventure using a stamp set that you wouldn’t normally think of.

Sentiment - Adventure Awaits

I am always thinking of ways to get the most out of my stamp sets and it was actually the cute little boots the mice are wearing that gave me this idea - why not turn them into space boots?

To make the card, I stamped out the mice and added the space helmets around their heads by drawing a circle with a black finer liner. I coloured with alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen.

The galaxy background was ink blended with a mix of blues and a touch of pink, and then splattered with white acrylic paint to create stars. The planets and the delicious cheese moon were made by die cutting circles out of the 'Simple Circle Dies' and then tracing the inner part of the circle die with a black finer liner before adding details and coloured.

To help build the scene, I added some soft ink blended pink clouds to ground the mice and some stars to give it the fun, whimsy feel. I kept the sentiment simple by using white heat embossing powder on black cardstock.

For finishing touches, I adhered the mice on with foam pads to give extra dimension of them floating on the clouds as well as adding glitter for the extra shimmer.

This was a really fun card to make and I hope it has inspired you to look at your stamp sets differently.

Ahoy! Sea You Soon

Happy Friday, Annalisa here! I wish I were on the sea like these two friends—it's one of my favourite places to be! Today's card features the Boat Buddies stamp set.

To create the card, I first inked the front of an A2 card base with Spiced Marmalade Oxide using my Beautiful Blender Brushes. Then, I painted horizontal lines on a piece of watercolour paper with blue watercolour and added white splatters for texture.

Next, I applied Spiced Marmalade Paint and Cocktail Party Mica Stain to another piece of watercolour paper. Once it dried, I used Anthony's Alpha Dies to cut out the letters "ahoy!" I also cut the same letters two more times from white cardstock and adhered them behind the orange letters with liquid glue for added dimension.

I stamped several images from the Boat Buddies stamp set, coloured them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I added accents with a white gel pen using a Gelly Roll Pen. The cloud image is from the Adventure Awaits stamp set.

Finally, I used glue and double-sided foam tape to attach the stamped elements and die-cut letters to the card base.

Watercolour Ocean Scene

Hello, and happy Saturday, DT Annalisa is back again today! I wish I could be out on a boat in the ocean right now. Today, I’m excited to share my project featuring the new Boat Buddies stamp set from Time For Tea Designs.

To create the front panel of the card, I used an Evergreen Bough Distress Watercolour Pencil. I soaked the pencil in water, then scribbled it on acetate, pressing it onto watercolour paper to transfer the colour. Once the panel dried, I die-cut it using the Simple Square Nesting Dies and Stitched Circle Dies.

For the background panel, I utilized Squeezed Lemonade and Saltwater Taffy Distress Watercolour Pencils. I adhered this panel to a square card base with liquid glue. 

I stamped several images from the Boat Buddies stamp set, coloured them with Copics, and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I added accents with a white gel pen from a Gelly Roll Pen. The compass and birds were from the Adventure Awaits stamp set.

Next, I die-cut vellum with the Ocean Waves Dies and colored it with a blue Copic marker. I used liquid glue to attach it to the back of the blue-green watercolour panel.

I stuck the boat to the card base using liquid glue and stamped the sentiment and birds above it. I then used double-sided foam tape to adhere the blue-green panel to the card base.

Finally, I used liquid glue to attach the remaining stamped images in the four corners of the card base.

Summer Adventures

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. Summer has arrived and is the perfect time for road trip adventures! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the Adventure Awaits stamp set and its' coordinating dies.

To create the background, I die-cut watercolour paper using the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added Embossing Paste through the Snowfall 6x6” Stencil with a palette knife. Once it dried, I added Distress Watercolour Pencils in the colours Evergreen Bough and Chipped Sapphire, and then I added splatters using the same colours for added interest.

I created a card base from white cardstock and adhered the colored panel using liquid glue.

I stamped images and the sentiment from the Adventure Awaits set and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I colored the images with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.

Finally, I attached the images to the card using glue and double-sided tape.

Out of this World!

 Hello Tea Timers!

Michelle from the Design Team and today’s card is something out of this world using a stamp set from the new release. We have two kitties off on a galactic space adventure with a little mouse stowaway in tow!

When I saw this stamp set, I had a million and one ideas in my head! I knew I wanted to do something different and I had also been wanting to do something space themed and so this was the perfect opportunity to combine the two together.

To make the card, the background is an ink blend of Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, Twisted Citron and Black Soot Distress Oxides - when ink blending, it looks like a mess but trust the process! I then added an abundance of metallic silver water colour splatters to give it the outer space feel.

As usual, all the images where stamped, coloured with alcohol markers and highlighted with a white gel pen. To give some details on how I created the planets, they were done by tracing the inner circles of the 2 smallest Simple Circle Dies with a black finer and then adding 'planet' details. For the rings around the planets, they are are actually the rug from the Home Is Where The Heart Is stamp set with the middle part cut out - shop your stash as sometimes the most unlikely stamp is just the one you need!

As there was already a lot going on in the card, I kept the sentiment simple but still visible by using white heat embossing powder on black cardstock.

Everything was glued down with liquid glue and the main car image was propped up with some foam tape. A finishing touch of glitter was added to the stars and the rings around the planets to give it the extra shimmer.

I loved how the card turned out and I can only imagine what new things that these 2 explorers have seen! I hope you enjoyed this adventure too.
