Halloween In July

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, and I'm shaking things up by sharing a Halloween card in July - because why not? This spooky design features dies and printed cardstock from T4T, proving that it's never too early to start Halloween crafting!

To create the background, I used Villainous Potion, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Inks on watercolour paper. I smooshed each ink onto a piece of acetate, spritzed it with water, and then pressed the acetate onto the paper. After adding another light spritz of water, I repeated the process, heat-setting between each layer to build up rich colour and texture.

Once the panel was completely dry, I die-cut a frame from white cardstock using the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered the frame to the background panel with liquid glue before attaching the finished panel to an A2 card base.

Next, I used my Brother ScanNCut SDX125e to cut out several images and the sentiment from the Purr-fect Halloween A4 Printed Cardstock Pack. I adhered all the elements with 1 mm double-sided foam tape to add dimension and make the design pop.

To finish the card, I die-cut a few stars from metallic silver cardstock and adhered them with liquid glue for a touch of sparkle that perfectly complements the spooky colour palette.

Love You Lots Sloth

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here today, and I’m sharing a card created with a limited colour palette featuring rich blues and soft neutrals. I love how restricting the colours can really make the design feel cohesive and polished. For this card, I used stamps, dies, and stencils from Time For Tea Designs to bring everything together.

The background was created using the Flirty Flowers Stencil, Distress Watercolour Cardstock by Ranger, and Distress Watercolour Pencils. I soaked the Prize Ribbon, Iced Spruce, and Uncharted Mariner Distress Watercolour Pencils in water to soften the pigment. Then, I scribbled the colours onto the back of the Flirty Flowers Stencil and spritzed it lightly with water. I pressed the stencil onto the watercolour cardstock and let it sit for a while before carefully removing it. Once removed, I heat-set the panel to speed up the drying process. To finish the background, I added a few sprays of Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain for extra shine and sparkle.

After the panel was completely dry, I die-cut it using the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it to a card base with liquid glue.

Next, I spritzed navy blue cardstock with Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain and die-cut it using the  Love You Lots Large Sentiment Die. I also die-cut the sentiment from silver and white cardstock. I layered all three die-cuts together with liquid glue, slightly offsetting the silver layer to create a shadow effect. The finished sentiment was then adhered to the card front.

To complete the card, I stamped and coloured the sloth in a coffee cup from the Warm Hugs stamp set and cut it out using the coordinating die. I used Copic Markers to colour the image and added white gel pen accents for highlights. Finally, I attached the image to the card with 1 mm double-sided foam tape for added dimension.

Sweet Christmas

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! Today I’m sharing a sweet Christmas scene I created using the Gingerbread Family - Our House to Yours stamp set from Time For Tea Designs.

To build the background, I started with watercolour paper and layered Picked Raspberry, Salvaged Patina, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Sprays. I applied the colours, heat-setting between layers to add depth and texture. For a touch of shimmer, I added a spritz of Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz, which gives the background a beautiful sparkle. I finished it off with splatters of Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain for extra interest.

Once the panel was dry, I added a frame that I created using the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies and white card stock. I used liquid glue to stick it to the panel and then to a card base.

Next, I stamped several images from the Gingerbread Family – Our House to Yours set, coloured them with Copics, and cut them out using the coordinating dies (which are currently on sale!). I added white gel pen details using a Gelly Roll Pen and added sparkles to some images with a Quickie Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter.

The stars come from the Happy Trails clear stamp set, and I cut them using the coordinating dies.

To create texture in the snowy area, I added Ranger Translucent Grit-Paste. I love the dimension this paste provides. It works perfectly for mimicking realistic snow on a card.

I adhered the images to the card base using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape to give the scene depth and dimension.

To complete the card, I added three white enamel dots from the Sweet Summer Designer Enamel Dots collection.

Too Cute to Spook Cuties

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here today! We’re just one week away from Halloween, and I’m back with another cute and spooky handmade card featuring digital stamps and dies from Time For Tea Designs. 🎃

I started by using two Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a frame from some plaid-patterned paper in my stash. For the background, I blended Wilted Violet Distress Watercolour Pencil with a few sprays of Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide. Once I was happy with the blend, I heat-set the panel and trimmed it down to 3¼" x 4¾" so it would fit neatly behind my plaid frame.

Next, I used the larger of the two rounded corner dies to create my card base, then adhered the background panel with liquid glue.

For the sentiment, I chose the Too Cute To Spook sentiment dies. I cut the phrase twice, once from white cardstock and once from black. I coloured the white layer with a purple Copic marker and added a shimmer mist to the black layer for extra sparkle. To make the sentiment pop, I glued the two layers slightly offset, then attached it to the card front with liquid glue.

To bring my Halloween scene to life, I used the Spooky Circle Tags Clear Stamp Set for the candy and the Trick or Treaters Digital Stamp Collection for the cat and pumpkin. I cut out all the images using my Brother Scan N Cut SDX125e, then coloured them with Copic markers and added highlights using a white gel pen for extra detail.

Finally, I arranged the stamped images on my background, securing them in place with a mix of liquid glue and double-sided foam tape to add some fun dimension.

Halloween Kitties

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here, and I am sharing a fun Halloween card that features stamps, a stencil, and patterned paper from Time For Tea Designs.

Using the Movie Star 6 x6" Stencil, watercolour paper, and distress sprays, I created the stencilled background. First, I placed the stencil on the watercolour paper and sprayed Dusty Concord Distress Oxide Spray. After removing the stencil, I set the background with my Ranger Heat tool. Then, to fill in the white spaces, I sprayed Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stain. Black watercolour splatter added extra interest as a finishing touch.

When the panel was dry, I used the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies to trim it. I also cut a piece of patterned paper from the Halloween 2022 Digital Paper Collection using a stitched rectangle die. After preparing both layers, I glued the stencilled background on top of the patterned paper.

These two finished panels were placed on an A2 card base. Beforehand, I had covered the base with plaid paper from my stash.

I used stamps from Haunted House (sentiment), Jumping With Joy (leaves), and Trick or Treaters Digital Stamp Collection (cat and ghost cat). I used my Brother Scan N Cut SDX125e to cut out the digital images and cut the leaves out using the Jumping With Joy coordinating dies.

After colouring all of the images with Copics, I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. I attached the images to the card base with liquid glue or foam tape for added dimension.

I added sparkles to the edges of some images with a Quickie Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter.

Simply The Zest

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! I am sharing a bright, fruit-themed card featuring Fruitful Friends and Squeeze the Day from Time For Tea Designs. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy delicious, fresh fruit! 🍓🍋🍉

I grabbed the Sweet Scalloped Dies to cut out some patterned paper from the Sweet Summer 6x6' Paper Pad, then used double-sided tape to attach it to my card base.

Next, I cut a panel from red and green patterned paper with the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies. I ink-blended Abandoned Coral and Twisted Citron Distress Ink with my Beautiful Blender Brushes. I used a watercolour brush and some water to add Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn Distress Watercolour Pencil splatter. I added white splatter with a paintbrush and Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain. Once this was dry, I used double-sided tape to attach it to my card base.

I stamped several images from the Fruitful Friends and Squeeze the Day stamp sets, coloured them with Copics, and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. The worm with glasses is from Book Buddies, the sun and clouds are from Rain Or Shine Mice, and the flowers are from Ewe Are The Best.

I stuck the images to the card base using liquid glue or double-sided foam tape for dimension and added several Sweet Summer Designer Enamel Dots to complete the card.

Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies 

The background has a lovely soft blend of yellow and pink with cloudy details, and I used matching colours for the big bold sentiment to tie everything together. The gingham border adds a sweet touch that makes the whole card feel extra cozy.

This card is perfect for someone who’s been on your mind. Whether it’s for encouragement, appreciation, or just to say hello, a friendly sunflower never goes out of style.

Thinking of You

Happy Friday from DT Annalisa! I'm excited to share a mini card featuring the adorable Rain or Shine Mice along with the Thinking of You Sentiment Die.

To create the back panel for this card, I die-cut patterned paper from the Pretty Pastels 6x6 Paper Pad using the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered this to a card base using liquid glue.

Next, I die-cut watercolour paper with the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies and created a watery-looking background using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and water. I then attached this piece to the card base with liquid glue.

For the sentiment, I die-cut paper from the Gorgeous Gingham 6x6' Paper Pad using the Thinking Of You Sentiment Die. I used vellum for the outlined portion of the sentiment and adhered the two pieces together with liquid glue before attaching them to the card base.

I stamped images from the Rain Or Shine Mice stamp set, coloured them with Copics, and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I added accents with a white gel pen using a Gelly Roll Pen. The bee is from the Fruitful Friends set, the flowers are from Ewe Are The Best, and the small bird is from Ewe Are Moovellous.

To assemble the card, I used liquid glue and double-sided foam tape to adhere the stamped elements to the card base. I finished the card with three Sweet Summer Designer Enamel Dots.

Thinking of You Shaker Tag

Hi. Design team member Koren Wiskman here. I hope that I can inspire you to create something fun with all of these awesome T4TD supplies. Today I am using the Thinking of You Sentiment Die Set and the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies to create this project. 

For this Shaker card, the measurements were totally eyeballed. I know, shocking... So, the base is a weird size and might look a bit better if you take the time to measure. Just a suggestion. A little hindsight wisdom. I made the tag portion of the project with a tag punch. super simple. It's glued on with red line tape. I finished it off by rounding the corners with my 1" corner rounder. 

Shaker panel

I used the Time for Tea Designs Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut both pieces of cardstock in my shaker sandwich. I ink blended stripes of orange and green onto the panel in a diagonal fashion. I used low tack tape as a guide for the stripes. 

I then used the T4TD Thinking of You Sentiment die set to cut out both the sentiment itself and a window into the shaker panel. I backed the panel with acetate cut to hide nicely within the sandwich adhered flat to the underside of the top panel. 

Sentiment

 

The "thinking of you" sentiment was adhered to the back panel of the sandwich flat using liquid adhesive. This will allow it to be read more clearly through the window. It also gives some dimension to the tag.

Embellishments

I added white glitter stripes to the front panel before adding a layer of foam tape behind it. The dimension of the foam tape will create the shaker pocket. Make sure you don't leave any holes or your sequins will escape. 

The shaker pocket was filled with clear sequins to add more shine. To make it even shinier I added some silver sequin and silver twine as well as some white twine to make it pop even more. I cinched them all together using a small white clothespin.

Summer Adventures

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. Summer has arrived and is the perfect time for road trip adventures! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the Adventure Awaits stamp set and its' coordinating dies.

To create the background, I die-cut watercolour paper using the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added Embossing Paste through the Snowfall 6x6” Stencil with a palette knife. Once it dried, I added Distress Watercolour Pencils in the colours Evergreen Bough and Chipped Sapphire, and then I added splatters using the same colours for added interest.

I created a card base from white cardstock and adhered the colored panel using liquid glue.

I stamped images and the sentiment from the Adventure Awaits set and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I colored the images with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.

Finally, I attached the images to the card using glue and double-sided tape.

When Life Gets Prickly

 Hello Everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team and today’s inspiration is a sunshine-soaked card for when things feel a little prickly, a sweet little calico cat and its glitter winged friends are there for you and ready to give you hug (or more plants)! 

I used supplies from the new release:

• Cacti Critters
• Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies
• Sun & Clouds - Rain or Shine Mice

I like my cards to be bright, busy and colourful so it was a slight challenge when it involved cacti and a limited colour palette! Hopefully I have managed to still keep to my usual style. 

To create it, first, I stamped and coloured my images with alcohol markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto the planter section of the cacti with white embossing powder. I am always nervous with embossing directly on a coloured image or a near finished card (Im a perfectionist and I don’t want to redo it again) but luckily everything turned out ok!

Next, using the second largest rounded corner stitched rectangle die I cut out  3 panels from white cardstock. For 1 of them, I ink blended fluffy clouds with blue ink and added splatters.

For the other 2, these were going to be the grass. I die cut these with a  grass die with one shorter than the other and ink blended with 2 shades of green (a light and dark). I then splattered with water that I blotted dry and then added more with the darker green ink. 

Once I had all the main pieces of the card, I arranged my cute little scene and glued everything down with liquid glue. I then framed the whole thing with a sunny border that I die cut from a a piece of yellow gingham pattered cardstock using the largest rounded corner stitched rectangle die.

As a finishing touch, I added glitter to the butterflies, the clouds and the flowers on the cacti because sometimes you just need that sparkle!
