Home Sweet Home!

Hello Tea Timers!

Michelle from the Design Team here and today I am sharing the most fun and chaotic new home card featuring two very busy crocodiles in the middle of moving day.

Supplies used:

Home Is Where The Heart Is

Snappy Before Coffee

A5 Woodgrain

Baked With More Love

Baked With Love Kitchen Add On

I started with a soft rainbow stripe background for the walls which gives the room such a cheerful, welcoming feel. It is bright and playful without being too overpowering, and really sets the tone for the busy scene unfolding below!

The room is packed with all the moving day essentials, stacked cardboard boxes and a gorgeous teal sofa that has already been claimed by the most unbothered cat, fast asleep without a care in the world. A tiny bear is also peeking out from behind the boxes in the background, which is such a sweet little detail to spot!

Taking centre stage are our two brilliant crocodiles, one lugging a big box through and the other has found the box with the missing tea cup because honestly, no moving day is complete without a cuppa! A red teapot and little blue cup sit on the floor ready for when the next break rolls around.

The whole scene sits on a rich woodgrain floor which grounds everything beautifully and gives the card that cosy, homely feel. To finish it off, the "Home Sweet Home" sentiment is stamped onto a lovely mint banner in the top corner, matching the sofa.

This card is perfect for anyone settling into a new place and is sure to raise a smile, or at the very least make them put the kettle on!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Bake It, 'til you Make It

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, and today I’m sharing an interactive, baking-themed card that I created using stamps, dies, and stencils from Time For Tea Designs. I’m planning to give this card to someone who loves baking cookies, so I had a lot of fun adding sweet little details.

I started by ink blending Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide onto the upper section of a slimline card base using a blending brush and a cobblestone stencil from my stash. To add extra texture and interest, I splattered Peacock Feathers Distress Ink over the background.

Next, I ink blended Lost Shadow Distress Oxide onto the lower section of the card through the Tiled Wall 6 x6" Stencil to create a tiled floor effect. I finished the background by adding Picket Fence Distress Spray splatter for subtle highlights and added dimension.

I stamped images from three stamp sets: Baked With Love, Baked With More Love and Baked With Love Kitchen Add On. After die-cutting the images, I coloured them with Copic markers and added white gel pen accents for extra detail and shine.

For the interactive element, I created backing panels behind the cupboards and oven and ink blended them with Salvaged Patina and Weathered Wood. I then filled the opening sections with tools and baked treats from the stamped and die-cut images, creating fun little scenes behind each door.

Finally, I adhered everything using liquid glue and double-sided 1mm foam tape to add dimension.

Something Sweet Just for You!

Hello everyone!

Michelle from the Design Team here and today’s card is a sugary delight featuring the sweetest little hippo baker and a mouthwatering display of treats. This one is all about sharing something sweet with someone special and I just love how it turned out!

Supplies used:

Snappy Before Coffee

Let’s Party

Baked With More Love

Baked With Love Kitchen Add On

The background is a soft green stripe pattern that gives the perfect bakery wallpaper vibe. All of the elements were stamped, coloured with alcohol markers and arranged to build up this charming dessert counter. Cupcakes, muffins, a fancy layer cake and more are all proudly displayed on their stands.

I gave the hippo baker a matching hat and bow tie combo in teal to coordinate with the background and added a subtle blush to their cheeks for that extra bit of cuteness.

The sentiment “something sweet just for you” is heat embossed in white onto a woodgrain-style shelf that runs across the bottom. Finally, I framed the whole scene with a stitched scalloped rectangle for a soft, inviting feel.

This card was such a joy to make and would be perfect for a birthday, thank you or just because!

Sending sweet crafty wishes your way!

Pamper Yourself

Happy Friday, DT  Annalisa here! Today’s card features the Queen For The Day Printed Cardstock and coordinating dies. The printed cardstock sheets from Time For Tea Designs are absolutely stunning in person, and I always enjoy creating with them!

For the background, I used watercolour paper along with the X Marks the Spot Stencil. I pressed Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio, and Twisted Citron Distress Inks onto the stencil, then spritzed it lightly with water. Placing the stencil ink-side down onto the watercolour paper, I pressed gently for a few moments before lifting it away and heat-setting the ink.

Next, I added some splatter using the same colours with Distress Watercolour Pencils. Once the panel was dry, I die-cut it with a stitched square die from my stash.

For the card base, I created a 5-inch square card and blended Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide across the top panel using a blender brush. I then adhered the stenciled panel to the pink base with liquid glue.

I die-cut the images and sentiments from the Queen For The Day Printed Cardstock using the coordinating dies. Some elements were attached with liquid glue, while others were popped up with double-sided foam tape for dimension. The small shelf is from the Baked With Love Kitchen Add-On Clear Stamp Set, which I coloured with Copics and cut out using the coordinating dies.

To finish the card, I added Summer Haze Designer Enamel Dots.

Sweet On You

Happy Friday! DT
Annalisa here sharing a sweet card perfect for Valentine's Day. It features the brand-new Sweet Cart Critters from the Time For Tea Designs new release. I love all the little jars and candies in this adorable stamp set.

I applied kitsch flamingo Distress Oxide Spray onto watercolour paper through the Tiled Wall 6 x 6" Stencil. I ink-blended kitsch flamingo with my Beautiful Blender Brush to the white areas and the edges of the panel.

I sprayed lost shadow Distress Oxide spray through the I Really Dig You stencil to create a ground area. I ink-blended the edges with hickory smoke Distress Oxide.

I added white splatter with a paintbrush, water and Copic opaque white to both panels and cut them with the
Simple Square Nesting Dies. I then used liquid glue to stick these to a square 4 3/4 inch card base.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) images from the Sweet Cart CrittersSweet Village (sign and small candies), I Really Dig You (worm), Love Is In the Air (bird), Baked With Love Kitchen Add On (shelf) and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen

The sentiment is from Sweet On You, I cut it out using the smallest die in the Simple Slimline Nesting Dies. I use this die often to cut around sentiments. I stuck the images to the card base using a combination of liquid glue and double-sided foam tape for dimension.

DIY Kitchen Background - Something Sweet Just for You!

Hey there, Tea Timers!!  It's Amanda back today with a DIY kitchen background, starring the Baked with Love Kitchen Add On and Baked with More Love Stamp Sets!

To make this background, we're going to start with a white panel trimmed to 4" x 5.25".  Draw a line 1.75" from the bottom of the panel, using a pencil.
Then, using a ruler, make a vertical yellow line every .25" with a yellow pen.

Next, make a pencil dot in the center of your panel 1" from the TOP.  Line your ruler up to the dot and straight down the panel.  Draw a pencil line. For every line you make, ensure your ruler is lined up to the dot.  By eye, make a line every .5" or so.

Once you have all those lines drawn, make horizontal lines approximately every .5".  Then, use a marker to fill in staggering squares, like the image below!

Now that your background is complete, let's add some adorable kitchen supplies!  Stamp your images from the Baked with Love Kitchen Add On and Baked with More Love with black alcohol marker-friendly ink.  Then, color the images with Copic markers and die cut the images with the coordinating die sets.
Don't forget your sentiment!  Stamp the sentiments on black cardstock with WOW! Embossing Glue and then apply white embossing powder.  Use your heat tool to melt the powder and then trim the sentiment down using a trimmer and scissors for the edges.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Time for Tea Designs blog today!  I hope you feel inspired and find some crafty time today!

Baked with Love - Just for You!

Hey there, Tea Timers!!  It's Amanda here with a new scene card today!  To make this card along with me, grab your cardmaking supplies, including the Baked with Love Kitchen Add On and Baked with More Love Stamp Sets!

First, grab a background stencil, such as the Tiled Wall Stencil.  This stencil makes the best house interior backgrounds!  I use it ALL the time!

So, first, we're going to mask off the bottom of our 4"x5.25" panel.  Then, we're going to blend Catherine Pooler's Rouge ink through our stencil.  Once that's complete, we're going to blend Sand Castle all around.

Next, we're going to mask off the top of our panel and blend Pebble ink.
After removing the mask, we can spritz the whole thing water and add white paint splatters all over with a paintbrush.
Next, we're going to stamp our adorable critters and their kitchen using the
Baked with Love Kitchen Add On and Baked with More Love stamp sets.  Once we've stamped them, we'll color them with Copic markers and then die cut them out with the coordinating die sets.

Then, we'll add all of our stamped images and sentiment to the panel using 3D foam squares!  We'll use liquid glue to adhere our panel to our A2 white card base!

And that's it! We're all done!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Time for Tea Designs blog today!  I hope you feel inspired and find some crafty time today!
Xx, Amanda

Sending Loads of Love

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here sharing a cute laundry scene created using the new Loads of Love stamp set paired with some Time For Tea Designs stencils.

I used the Tiled Wall 6 x6" and I Really Dig You stencils. I masked off the bottom of an A2 white card base using mint masking tape and ink-blended Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide with my Beautiful Blender Brush over the Tiled Wall 6 x6"  stencil. I added ink splatter with water and a paintbrush using the same colour.

I removed the mint tape and used it to mask the tiled wall area and ink-blended Speckled Egg on through the I Really Dig You stencil. I added Broken China Distress Oxide ink splatter.

I stamped, and coloured (with Copics) several images from the Loads of Love stamp set; the window is from Home Is Where The Heart Is, and the shelf is from Baked With Love Kitchen Add On. After die-cutting the images, I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen

I stuck the images to the card base using a combination of liquid glue and double-sided foam tape for dimension.

Queen For The Day on Mothers Day

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. It is Mother's Day this Sunday here in Canada, so I am sharing a card I made for my mum I created using the Queen For the Day stamp set from Time For Tea DesignsI just had to add the glass of champagne to the kitty in the tub with bubbles as it made me smile 🛁🐈🥂

I ink-blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide onto an A2 card base through the Simple Stripes 6 x6" Stencil. I used what remained on my blender brush to fill in the white spaces left. I moved the low tack tape I used to mask off the floor and masked the bottom of the wallpaper. For the bathroom floor, I blended on Lost Shadow Distress Oxide.

In addition to the Queen For the Day stamp set, I used several T4TD stamp sets: Baked With Love Kitchen Add OnPurrfect Day, and You’re Engaged. I stamped, and coloured (with Copics) all the images and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen

I adhered some of the images to the card base using liquid glue, for the others I used double-sided foam tape for dimension.

Baked With Love & Baked With More Love

Hello Tea Timers,

Did you know our Baked With Love & Baked With More Love sets are featured in this month's Die Cutting Essentials magazine? Miki has two cards to share with you using these sets.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Use the largest die in the Mini Slimline Scallop Dies and cut it from white cardstock. Mount the cheese and smelly image on a clear block and stamp them across the panel using an embossing ink. Apply white embossing powder and heat set it.
  2. Use the distress oxides to apply colour to the background. Use a clean cloth to remove the excess ink from the embossed images. If needed, you can heat set them again to get the shine back.
  3. Use the scallop frame die and cut it from white cardstock two times and glue them together. Glue the frame on top of the background panel.
  4. Stamp and colour the images, add some white details using the Gelly Roll pen and cut them with the matching dies. Add them to the panel using foam tape.
  5. Stamp the sentiments in an emboss ink on black cardstock, apply white embossing powder and heat set them. Use the matching dies to cut them out and glue them to the card using foam tape.
  6. Create a card base and add the panel on top using liquid glue.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Use two designs from the paper pad to create the wall and floor in your kitchen scene. Glue them on a 4”x5.25” white panel and cut off any excess.
  2. Stamp and colour the images. Use the Gelly Roll Pen to add some details and use the matching dies to cut them out. Add the images to your background using foam tape.
  3. Use the sentiment die to cut the word from white cardstock three times and glue them together. Cut the shadow from black cardstock and add the die cut word on top. Glue the sentiment on the card panel.
  4. Use your paper trimer to cut a sentiment strip from the sentiment cards. Use a black marker around the edges and add the strip on the panel using foam tape.
  5. Create an A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”) and add your panel on top using liquid adhesive.

If you're subscribed to the T4T newsletter you'll know that there's a huge sale on dies on the shop currently so you can grab some of the products used for these cards at a bargain!
