Have a Colourful New Year

Happy Friday and Happy New Year, DT Annalisa here. For my first card of 2025, I am excited to share a bright, colourful card, wishing you a vibrant start to the new year!

I created the rainbow card panel using Distress Watercolor Pencils in the following colours: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet.

After heat-setting the panel, I used a stitched rectangle die to trim it to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. I then attached it to an A2 card base using double-sided tape.

For the sentiment, I used the Happy New Year Sentiment Die to cut paper from a Christmas cracker with a beautiful pattern—it was too lovely not to use! I also die-cut black cardstock with the same die and layered the two together slightly offset to create a shadow effect using liquid glue.

Next, I stamped images from the Warm Hugs, Fruitful Friends, Let’s Party and You’re Engaged stamp sets, then cut them out with their coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic markers and added accents with a white gel pen.

To finish the card, I adhered the stamped images and the sentiment to the card base using double-sided foam tape. Finally, I added stars die-cut from gold metallic cardstock using a die from my stash.

I'm a Sucker For You

Happy Friday, everyone. DT Annalisa sharing a sweet pink card featuring the Sweet On You stamp set and the coordinating die set. I love the adorable critters holding all the sweets in this set.

I ink-blended kitsch flamingo, picked raspberry distress oxide onto white cardstock and added white watercolour splatter with a paintbrush. I die-cut this with the A2 Stitched Hearts Cover Die.

With my Beautiful Blender Brush, I ink-blended squeezed lemonade Distress Ink onto the upper half of an A2 card base. I used the small heart from You’re Engaged and the twirl and xo tiny stamps in Sweet On You and stamped them onto the top section with squeezed lemonade Distress Oxide. I ink-blended to the bottom section with lost shadow Distress Oxide. 

I die-cut a piece of Pretty Pastels 6x6 Paper Pad with the edge die in the Sweet Scalloped Dies collection. I ink-blended spun sugar Distress Oxide to the edges of the patterned paper and used liquid glue to adhere it to the inked A2 card base. 

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) several images from Sweet On You and Sweet Cart Critters and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. 

I added double-sided tape to the back of the stitched hearts frame and pressed it onto the card base. Next, I used double-sided tape to adhere the mouse and sentiment to the card base. The remainder of the elements were adhered to the card using liquid glue.

Cheers to 2024

Happy Friday, who is ready to start 2024? DT Annalisa here and my project today is a Happy New Year's card featuring the You’re Engaged stamp and Happy New Year Sentiment Die.

I used the Stars Stitched Cover Die to cut white heavy stock and ink-blended the cutout cardstock with black soot, chipped sapphire, prize ribbon, broken china and tumbled glass Distress Oxides.

The stars were ink-blended with mustard seed and queezed lemonade Distress Oxide. I added white splatter with a paintbrush, water and Copic opaque white. I adhered both portions of the die-cut cardstock to an A2 card base with liquid glue. 

I die-cut red patterned paper with the Happy New Year Sentiment Die and ink-blended it with lumberjack plaid Distress Oxide using my Beautiful Blender Brush. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. 

I added dimension by die-cutting the same die three times with white cardstock and using liquid glue to stack up the layers. I stuck the sentiment to the card with liquid blue.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) images from You’re Engaged (car, kitties, bubbly) and Let’s Party (balloon and sentiment) and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. 

I added dimension to 'Let's Party' by die-cutting the outline three times with white cardstock and using liquid glue to stack the layers. I used liquid glue to adhere to the card base.

I used liquid glue for the balloon and foam tape for the kitties in the car. I added Festive Fun Designer Enamel Dots to complete the card.

Hey, Congrats

 

 Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! The first day of Fall, or autumnal equinox, arrives tomorrow, so I am sharing a card with a fall feel. It features the Birthday Fox clear stamp set from Time For Tea Designs.

For the background, I ink-blended tumbled glass and salty ocean Distress Oxides with my Beautiful Blender Brush onto Distress White Heavy cardstock by Ranger. Using a paintbrush, I added splatters of water and uncharted mariner Distress Oxide. For the grass, I ink-blended twisted citron, mowed lawn Distress Oxides and added water splatters. 

I die-cut the grass with the Slimline Hillside Scene Dies and stuck this to the sky panel with liquid glue. I then added this panel to an A2 card base.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) the foxes from the Birthday Fox clear stamp set and cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut SDX125e. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. I did the same process with the leaves from Jumping With Joy and Bee and Butterfly from I Really Dig You.

I used liquid glue to stick the leaves to the card and double-sided foam tape for the rest of the critters. 

The hey letters were die cut from black cardstock using the Hey, Hello, Hi Dies. I die cut vellum using the word shadow die in this set. I used liquid glue to adhere the letters to the shadow area and then behind the letters and stuck this to the sky area on the card. 

I stamped congrats from the You’re Engaged stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed using white Ultra Fine Embossing Powder by Brutus Monroe. I die-cut the sentiment using the coordinating die set. I used liquid glue to stick the congrats to the bottom of the card.

Welcome to the Neighbourhood

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here, my Time For Tea Designs project is a card that would be perfect to welcome someone new to the neighbourhood. These adorable houses from Sweet Village are so fun to colour; I love the tiny elements in the stamp set (bushes, sweets, coffee and ice cream).

I created a slimline card base (8.5 by 3.5 inches) and used the Concord & 9th inks Aqua Sky and Sprout to ink blend on the sky and grass with my Beautiful Rainbow Blender Brushes. I used a cloud stencil in my stash for the sky and used low tack tape to mask it while I ink-blended the grass.

I added splatter in both colours using a paintbrush and some water for added interest.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) several images from the Sweet Village stamp set and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen.

The small grouping of flowers, birds and the bee are from the stamp sets Just Married, Love Is In the Air and Oops a Daisy respectively. 

I adhered the images to the card base using liquid glue or double-sided foam tape for dimension.

The congrats sentiment is from You’re Engaged I stamped and die-cut it with its coordinating die. 

I used the New Home Sentiment Dies to cut into black cardstock. I used foam tape to adhere the letters to the card. I added white gel pen accents to all the letters with a Gelly Roll Pen.

 Hey there Tea-timers....

DT Ashlee here with you today and I have a mini slimline card to share with you all. I just love the mini slimline scallop die set, it's such a fun size to create card bases with!!

This one features the You're engaged stamp & co ordinating die collection....

To create this card I started by die cutting and arranging the base using their mini slimline scallop set. I then used the Anthony's alphas to die cut the sentiment X O X O. I die cut it twice using different coloured card stock so that I could adhere it together creating a drop shadow. 

The X O X O was adhered in place with foam tape and then a sub sentiment stamped underneath "MR & MRS".

Using the You're engaged set I stamped, coloured and die cut the images. These were all coloured using Spectrum noir tri-blend markers with a touch of white gel pen highlights. 

I adhered the images in place also using foam tape and then completed the card with some pretty bling sequins!!

Happily Ever After

 

Hello everyone! DT Annalisa here sharing an anniversary card I created using the You’re Engaged stamp set from Time For Tea Designs. While this stamp set would typically be used for engagement or wedding cards, I thought it would be great for a wedding anniversary card. I love how the kitties celebrate many years of marriage together with a glass of bubbly. 

With my Beautiful Blender Brush, I ink-blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide onto Fabriano Bristol smooth cardstock. I splattered Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide and white watercolour on with a paintbrush. After drying the cardstock, I die-cut the panel with the A2 Stitched Hearts Cover Die. 

I stamped the scene onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock using the You’re Engaged and Love Is In the Air stamp sets (small birds). For the stamping, the car was first, I covered the car with masking paper and stamped the cats. Next, I masked the kitty on the right and stamped down the glass. I followed this by stamping the cans, birds, and sentiments. 

I coloured everything with Copics and added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen.

Queen For The Day on Mothers Day

 

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. It is Mother's Day this Sunday here in Canada, so I am sharing a card I made for my mum I created using the Queen For the Day stamp set from Time For Tea Designs. I just had to add the glass of champagne to the kitty in the tub with bubbles as it made me smile 🛁🐈🥂. 

I ink-blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide onto an A2 card base through the Simple Stripes 6 x6" Stencil. I used what remained on my blender brush to fill in the white spaces left. I moved the low tack tape I used to mask off the floor and masked the bottom of the wallpaper. For the bathroom floor, I blended on Lost Shadow Distress Oxide. 

In addition to the Queen For the Day stamp set, I used several T4TD stamp sets: Baked With Love Kitchen Add On, Purrfect Day, and You’re Engaged. I stamped, and coloured (with Copics) all the images and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. 

I adhered some of the images to the card base using liquid glue, for the others I used double-sided foam tape for dimension.

How to Create A Double Sided Shaker Card

Hey there, Tea Timers!!  It's Amanda here sharing a really cool shaker card with you today!

Keep reading to see how I created this interactive card!

First, I die cut 2 scalloped frame dies of the same size.  You could use any frame dies for this project.  You could also use regular rectangle dies and just layer 2 of them to create your own frame!

Once cut, I put a thin strip of double sided tape around the entire frame.

Next, I cut down TWO pieces of acetate/window plastic to fit the frame.  I trimmed them with my trimmer, but you could also die cut them with your frame dies and they will fit perfectly!

Once I had them trimmed down, I removed the backing from my double sided tape and adhered the acetate to the frames.

Next, I used thin strips of deep foam tape to border ONE of the frames.

Then, I added my sequin/shaker mix in the center of the acetate of the non-taped frame.  After that, I simply removed my tape backing and attached the 2 frames together!

Now, for creating the rest of the card!  I stamped my images from the Just Married and You're Engaged Stamp Sets.  

Note:  These stamps sets are designed to work together!!  How cool is that?!  The cars, kitties and champagne glasses all line up so that you can create a 2 sided card!

Then, I colored them with Copic markers and die cut them out using the coordinating dies.  

Now, I can start adhering my images to the front and back of the card!

The last step is to create my sentiments for both sides of the card!  I trimmed 2 pieces of black cardstock that are the same size, stamped my sentiments with embossing glue ink, applied white embossing powder, and then melted the powder with my heat tool.

That's it!  Here are some more images of the finished card!
