Michelle from the Design Team here and today I am sharing the most gorgeous little pop up platform card featuring the sweetest strawberry farm stall scene. This one was such a joy to make and this is my favourite type of card to create!

The platform shape immediately gives this design so much depth and dimension and I just love how the whole scene unfolds as you look at it. I blended a soft blue sky with fluffy white clouds for the background and added a bright green grassy layer across the base, with a generous spattering of colour to give it that fresh outdoor feel.

A little wooden market stall sits in the centre absolutely overflowing with the most enormous and delicious strawberries piled up in crates. In front of the stall, a sweet grey squirrel is busy tending to the display with a garden fork and tucked in at the front is the most adorable little hedgehog who has clearly been sneaking a taste! A cheeky single strawberry sits right beside him as the evidence!

Strung across the top of the stall is the most cheerful red and green bunting with pretty daisy flowers decorating each post. Little white picket fences line the sides of the card and a busy little bee buzzes around along with more daisies, adding lovely little details to discover all around the scene.

To finish everything off, the "Thank You Berry Much" sentiment is heat embossed in white onto a warm brown banner across the front and I just love how perfectly that pun works with this fruity little scene!

This card is perfect for anyone who deserves a big heartfelt thank you and I promise it will make them smile from ear to ear!

It's Your Birthday!

Michelle from the Design Team here and today I am sharing the most colourful and joyful birthday card that is absolutely bursting with rainbow magic!

I started by blending a soft dreamy sky background using rainbow tones. A generous scatter of gold and white spattering across the background adds a lovely sparkle and gives the whole card that extra bit of celebratory shimmer.

The centrepiece is a gorgeous big rainbow arching across the card in all the prettiest pastel shades, framed by fluffy glittery clouds sitting along the bottom. The clouds have the most beautiful shimmer to them and really make the whole scene feel light and magical.

Popping up from behind the clouds are four of the most adorable little party animals! A sweet mouse, a bunny, a squirrel and a little bear are all joining in the celebrations, each with the rosiest little cheeks. Floating above them are four big balloons in pink, yellow, green and blue, one for each colour of the rainbow, bobbing away and adding to the festive feel.

To finish everything off, the bold "It's Your Birthday!" sentiment is heat embossed in white onto a vibrant teal banner across the bottom which gives the card a brilliant pop of colour and ties the whole joyful scene together perfectly.

This card would make the most wonderful birthday surprise for anyone who deserves a little rainbow on their special day!

I started with a warm yellow background with a subtle pattern from the Sweet Summer paper pad - it has texture without taking attention away from the main scene. 

The wreath is built up with leafy greenery, colourful flowers, carrots and decorated eggs, which gives it that full and festive look. In the centre, the adorable bunny sitting in a basket adds a cute focal point, with a tiny chick peeking in to keep things extra playful. I used soft colouring for the characters to keep everything light and cohesive with the pastel tones.

To finish the card, I added a simple banner with the “Hoppy Easter” sentiment in gold for a little touch of shine. It ties everything together beautifully while keeping the overall design clean and balanced.

Tis the Season to Decorate!

Michelle from the Design Team here and this week’s card is all about festive fun and teamwork! Just look at these two little cuties decorating their Christmas tree. The kitty and squirrel are working together to string up lights and hang ornaments, and it couldn’t be more adorable.

A5 Woodgrain Stamp

To create the background panel, I used a stencil and ink blended with Weathered Wood Distress Oxide for a soft brick look. Next, I shopped my stash for the arched window where I die cut it from white card stocked and lightly ink blended the edges again with Weathered Wood Distress Oxide to match.

The window background is a blend of Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides with a silver and white paint splatters. I love how window gives a glimpse of a snowy winter sky, making it feel extra cosy indoors.

The wooden floor grounds the whole scene and this was made from my favourite technique of stamping the A5 Woodgrain stamp on Kraft card stock using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. 

Each of the critters, decorations, and the gifts were stamped and coloured with alcohol markers. A tip - a white gel pen and some strategic fussy cutting were used to separate out some of the images! They were then arranged and in some places scraps of card were used for layering and dimension.

 

The sentiment is a nice and simple 'Merry Christmas' heat embossed onto red card stock cut into a fish tail banner to match the red ribbons on garland framing the window.

It’s a joyful little moment captured in card form and I hope it gives you all the warm, festive fuzzies too!

Critter Christmas Wreath!

Design Team member Michelle here and this week’s card is bursting with Christmas spirit! A wreath full of festive details frames a sweet little group of friends, each one decked out in their Santa hats and ready to celebrate.

A5 Woodgrain Stamp

To make the card, I created the woodgrain background by stamping the A5 Woodgrain stamp onto Kraft card stock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. I had to do this a couple of time to get the crisp lines! I then lightly ink blended the edges using some more Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to give it some dimension. 

For the focal part of card, I stamped all of the images onto white card stock and coloured them with alcohol markers. I added highlights using a white gel pen. 

To create the wreath, this was 4 of the leaf piles from the Jumping With Joy stamp set that I coloured in three shades of green and arranged in a circle. Most of the ornaments on the wreath were all bits and pieces from other stamp sets I mentioned. The only exceptions are the hats, bow and ribbon that I shopped my stash for. 

I love how the bold red ribbons and ornaments pop against the dark woodgrain background.

I felt that the critters were getting lost in the woodgrain background and to make them stand out a bit more, I took some white card stock and Iightly ink blended some Crack Pistashio Distress Oxide onto it and then backed it onto the wreath.

The sentiment is simple and a classic “Merry Christmas” in bright red to match all the joyful touches scattered around the scene.

This was a really fun card to make and I hope this brings a smile to your face and a little extra cheer to your crafting this week!

Sending Happy Mail

Hello and happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! Today, I am sharing a cheerful, happy mail card I created using the You Got Mail clear stamp set from Time For Tea Designs. The coordinating die set for this collection is currently on super sale, so be sure to grab it while you can!

To create the background, I began with watercolour paper and a combination of Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, and Picked Raspberry Distress Sprays. I layered the colours one at a time, heat-setting between sprays to create depth and texture. For a final touch of shimmer, I added a spritz of Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz, which gives the background a beautiful sparkle!

Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to a 5 3/4" x 4 1/4" card base.

Next, I used the Wide Stitched Frame Dies to cut a frame from White Silver Neenah cardstock, then attached it to the background with liquid glue.

For the focal elements, I stamped several images from the You Got Mail stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I added a few white gel pen highlights using a Gelly Roll pen for extra detail. The cute little acorn is from Jumping With Joy, and the flowers are from Ewe Are The Best, both cut with their matching dies.

I arranged the images on the card front, adhering some flat with liquid glue and others with foam tape for dimension. To finish everything off, I added three Designer Enamel Dots from the Summer Haze collection for a fun pop of colour and shine.

Halloween Critters!

Simple Circle Dies

First, I stamped and printed all the images I needed. For the critters, I used a black fine liner to add details so that they were all dressed for the occasion - it was a hard to decide which critter would be which character as I had so many ideas!

The night sky was blended with Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Black Soot Distress Oxides giving wonderful hues of purples and blues, with splattered stars and a glowing moon to set the scene. 

The moon was cut from white cardstock using a Simple Circle die before being ink blended around the edges with Weathered Wood Distress Oxide as well as using a stencil for the moon craters and adding a touch of glitter!

I added soft clouds to the sky to give it that extra spooky feel, a row of gravestones and pumpkins tucked in amongst them to build a playful background for the bunny vampire, bat mouse and sweet little Franken-squirrel.

The sentiment brings it all together. Have a spooktacular fright night. This card is perfect for Halloween happy mail or to add some fun to your festive decorations.

Halloween Kitties

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here, and I am sharing a fun Halloween card that features stamps, a stencil, and patterned paper from Time For Tea Designs.

Using the Movie Star 6 x6" Stencil, watercolour paper, and distress sprays, I created the stencilled background. First, I placed the stencil on the watercolour paper and sprayed Dusty Concord Distress Oxide Spray. After removing the stencil, I set the background with my Ranger Heat tool. Then, to fill in the white spaces, I sprayed Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stain. Black watercolour splatter added extra interest as a finishing touch.

When the panel was dry, I used the Rounded Corner Stitched Rectangle Dies to trim it. I also cut a piece of patterned paper from the Halloween 2022 Digital Paper Collection using a stitched rectangle die. After preparing both layers, I glued the stencilled background on top of the patterned paper.

These two finished panels were placed on an A2 card base. Beforehand, I had covered the base with plaid paper from my stash.

I used stamps from Haunted House (sentiment), Jumping With Joy (leaves), and Trick or Treaters Digital Stamp Collection (cat and ghost cat). I used my Brother Scan N Cut SDX125e to cut out the digital images and cut the leaves out using the Jumping With Joy coordinating dies.

After colouring all of the images with Copics, I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen. I attached the images to the card base with liquid glue or foam tape for added dimension.

I added sparkles to the edges of some images with a Quickie Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter.

Woodland Feast!

Michelle here from the Design Team with a sweet autumn card full of woodland charm. These little skunks have gathered under the trees for a delicious feast together - a giant pumpkin, acorns, pinecones and tasty mushrooms whilst surrounded by gently falling leaves.

The background is ink blended in soft oranges, yellows and pinks (Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides) to give it that warm evening glow.

The grass was cut from a grass border die and ink blended with my favourite combination of Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides. 

For the trees, I shopped my stash for a large tree die, ran it over with a woodgrain texture die and then ink blended with Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo and Ground Expresso Distress Oxides. I used lots of layered leaves to frame the scene from above. 

Each skunk was coloured with alcohol markers in greys and I gave them my usual rosy pink cheeks. I love how it shows that they are having the best time!

The sentiment says it perfectly. Friends warm the heart. I heat embossed this with ink and white powder onto black cardstock before cutting out with a banner sentiment die.
