Thinking of You

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, for my project today I used the new Dog Gone Mutts stamp set, along with several other Time For Tea Designs sets to create this sympathy card for someone who has lost a furry friend. It is always such a devastating time, I have lost far too many over my lifetime.

I began by stamping down the rainbow from Unicorn In Training and the tennis ball from Dog Gone Mutts to some Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock. I created masks for the rainbow and tennis ball and placed them on top of their images. Next, I stamped the dog and created a mask for him as well. With all of the masks in place, I set about stamping the rest of the scene.

The background scene is from Hillside Village and the sentiment is from Thinking of You Lily The two small hearts on each side of the sentiment are from Unicorn In Training. Once I removed the masks, I coloured the scene with my Copic markers. I added some accents with a white Gelly Roll Pen and then die cut the scene using a stitched A2 die in my stash.

For the back panel, I cut the black dots patterned paper from the Sweet Summer 6x6' Paper Pad and used double-sided tape to adhere it down to a card base. To make them look like paw prints, I added small circles and ovals with a black Faber Castell PITT artist pen.

To complete the card, I added some foam tape on the back of the scene and stuck it down on top of the card base.

How To Video: Dry Embossing & Emboss Resist Techniques

Happy New Year all!
This is my first Blog Post of the Year and I'm so excited to share this non-wintery card with you. :)

Don't get me wrong I'm not over the winter projects just yet, but I did feel like it was time for a bit of colour and positivity in our lives!

This card also has an accompanying video which you can find below.

In the video I show you two totally different embossing techniques. One is a dry emboss technique using a stencil to create an embossed effect on your cardstock.
The second is an emboss resist technique using embossing powders to stamp our image and our Distress Inks over the top.

The emboss resist technique is such a stunning effect and also makes colouring a larger image like this super simple.

I was able to just add a great sentiment to the focal panel and some embellishments finished it off perfectly.

I think this is a great encouragement card to send to a friend or loved one. The Thinking of You Lily is so pretty and versatile too.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration.
Please do join me tonight for our FB Live at 8PM BST as I will be revealing a brand new product that I know you are absolutely going to LOVE!!!
I hope to see you there!
Jo
XOXO

Thinking of You

Hello everyone and happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. Sadly the days are getting shorter and my garden is winding down so I decided to share a bright and colourful floral card. Thinking of you cards are great for any occasion and especially useful with a year like 2020! I used several Time For Tea Designs products including the Stripes Cover Plate Die, the Sunny Side up Again stencil and the Thinking of You Lily A7 Clear Stamp Set.

To start I stamped and coloured the large floral stamp from Thanks A Whole Bunch (no longer available at T4T) but could be easily swapped out for the beautiful Lilly in the Thinking of You Lily stamp set. I cut out the flowers and set them aside to begin the background.

I used some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink on the sun in the Sunny Side Up Again stencil. On the stencil, I used a heavy hand, once I removed it I used a lighter hand with my Beautiful Blender Brush directly onto the white card stock so as to not have stark white areas.

Next, I die-cut some white card stock with the Stripes Cover Plate die. Before adhering the stripes section to the background I added some vellum to the back of it. I kept one of the inside pieces from the die-cut and stamped the 'thinking of you sentiment' from the Thinking of You Lily stamp set onto it.

I adhered the vellum and stripes card panel to the background. I then stuck the flowers I had cut out on top of this. To complete the card I tucked the sentiment in its spot under the flowers.

Thank You Lilly

Today's card features more of the new Time For Tea Designs June release - the Thinking of You Lily A7 Clear Stamp Set and coordinating die, as well as the Thank You Sentiment Die Set. I love the font and thickness of the Thank You die as well as the size as it nicely fills up the front of a card so it can be used on its own with a nice background if you like.

For the background, I used some cold-pressed Arches watercolour paper and my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours. I often struggle with watercolour backgrounds as I like to control what it looks like which isn't really possible with watercolours as they have a mind of their own! Once the paper was dry, I used the largest die in the Hello Rectangle Stitched Nesting Dies to cut it out to get the beautiful stitching on the edges.
Next, I die cut out the Thank You sentiment onto some white paper and stamped and coloured the Lilly with my Copics. I adhered the sentiment and the Lilly to my background with liquid glue.
Don't forget I have a 10% discount code for the T4T store which can be used on anything, anytime and has no time limit - T4TANNALISA10

Buzzing For You and Thinking of You Lily

Hi DT Sharon here today. I hope you all enjoyed the new releases that were revealed and all the inspiration the T4T DT have been sharing? I loved them all so much I made so many projects , the ideas just kept on coming!
So today I have 2 projects to show you, the first is a shadow box card.

I've used the Box clever die set  for the base. I blended some distress oxide inks over it to get the colour. I then stamped the hexagons from the Buzzing for you stamp set randomly over it. For the inside of the box I used the Scene it stencil to make the background clouds and grass. The sun and clouds dies are also included in the box clever set. I used the hearts die from several of the new releases to make the flowers. Then the bees were stamped, coloured and die cut and I attached them to the box using acetate. I wanted to make them look like they were floating in the air. Lastly I just added the sentiments.

For my second project I have used the Thinking of you Lily stamp and die set. I've used the set in 3 different ways.

For my first card I stencilled the white card with the Scattered Triangles stencil. I then stamped three lillies onto vellum with clear embossing ink and embossed them with white fine embossing powder. I coloured the lillies from the back using alcohol pens.
For the purple card I stamped the lillies onto the white card with a purple ink randomly. I stamped a further lily using black and ink and coloured it with alcohol pens. I then placed it over a lily with 3D foam pads. The green dotty strip is using the Washi Strips stamp set with a green ink and then fussy cutting it out.
For my last card I have just used gold embossing powder on cream linen card and navy card. I've also used the Squiggly Giggly stamp set to make the background and the Scalloped Frame die set which incidently has 35% off at the moment!

I hope I've inspired you today and you enjoy all the new releases. I have a code too to get 10% off across the store, just use the code  T4TSHARON10

Happy crafting and stay safe!
