Toucan of appreciation card

Hello. Today I am sharing a card featuring the new large oval masking stencil.

To start the card I took the large oval stencil and lined it up using the etched guide on to my A6 card base. I then took Distress Oxide inks in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. Using a blending brush I blended the Twisted Citron ink lightly all over the oval space. Next I added a leaf stencil on top, leaving the oval stencil in place. This stencil is the tropical leaves stencil from Newton's Nook. I blended a mix of Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn over the leaves. I removed the stencils and set the background aside to dry.
Next I worked on my images. I stamped the bird and branch from the Toucan Do This stamp set, coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I adhered the images to the background with a tape runner and stamped the sentiment with black ink. To complete the card I added some sequins from Lucy's cards for some subtle sparkle.
Remember there is still time to shop the winter sale at Time For Tea Designs and grab yourself a bargain. Head over to the shop now. Links below.
Take care for now.
Katrina.
