Sweet cart(d!)

Hello everybody! Welcome to my very first blog for Time for Tea Designs.

I have been given the chance to play with the Sweet Cart Critters Clear Stamp from the new release. As soon as I saw the cute critters I imagined them being at a circus, getting something sweet from the cart during the show. Hence the color scheme for the cart!

I stamped the images and cut them out using Scan 'n Cut. After that, I colored them in using Copic markers and added some highlights with a white gelly roll pen. 

Then I moved on to make a background on an A6 panel, using nesting dies. To make the red on the cart pop, I chose blueish / aqua colors for the background. Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather Distress Oxides were used for the brick wall. I have always loved this combination of colors, they work so well together to get contrast! Added some teal and white splatters with acrylic paint and water to finish the wall. Next up I used Tea Dye and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxides for the floor. Lastly I stamped the sweetest sentiment at the bottom using a stamping tool.

Using the second to largest die from my A6 simple nesting dies set, I die-cut a red panel and adhered it to the inked panel. This went on top of a white card base. Again, making the whole thing POP!

Using 0,5mm foamtape, I adhered the cart to the front and for the critters I used 1mm foamtape. This creates nice depth and it looks like the critters are actually standing in front of the cart, sharing the sweets they bought.
