Thinking Of You Sympathy Card

Happy Friday. DT Annalisa here, and today I’m sharing a sympathy card I made for a friend who recently lost her husband. They had been together for decades, so I wanted the card to feel heartfelt and gentle. I used the Thinking Of You Sentiment Die, along with a stencil from Time For Tea Designs, and kept the design simple by focusing on one main stamped image.

I started with Distress Watercolour paper to create the main panel. Using the Cosy Sweater 6x6 Stencil, I applied Dusty Concord Distress Oxide and Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink. I swiped the oxide ink pads onto the back of the stencil, spritzed it with water, and then pressed the watercolour paper onto it using a paper towel. I left it in place for several seconds to allow the ink to fully saturate the paper. After removing the stencil, I dried the panel with my Ranger Heat Tool. Next, I ink-blended Shaded Lilac Distress Ink over the panel and finished it with splatters of Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink and Picket Fence Spray Stain.

Once the panel was completely dry, I die-cut it using a stitched rectangle die. I adhered it to an A2 card base using liquid glue, after colouring the base with a BG15 Copic marker.

For the focal element, I die-cut vellum using the Heart Nesting Dies. I added a stitched line detail around the edge of the heart with a white Posca pen, then secured it to the card using vellum adhesive.

To create the sentiment, I sprayed Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Spray onto watercolour paper and die-cut it using the Thinking Of You Sentiment Die. For added dimension, I die-cut the same sentiment three more times from white cardstock and stacked the layers together with liquid glue. I used a small heart die from my stash to replace the dot created by the die, then adhered the completed sentiment to the card panel.

The kitty image is from Oops a Daisy, and the small flowers are from the Just Married stamp set. I coloured all the images with Copic markers and added white gel pen accents. After die-cutting them, I adhered the images to the card using a combination of double-sided foam tape and glue.

The scene is set in a lovely garden with a soft blue sky using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide and a cloud stencil. I added a vibrant grassy ground, ink blended with my favourite combination of Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides.

One little skunk is swaying on a swing hanging from a gorgeous pink tree that I shopped my stash for while their friend waves hello from the ground whilst holding a fresh flower (I used Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso for the ink blending). The pink tree adds such a dreamy, whimsical touch to the whole scene and for some extra charm, I added some hearts topped with glitter.

The sentiment "life is SWEET" is heat embossed onto bold red banner that really pops against the pink background and finally to try something different and to give the card some extra, "oomph" I added a white frame to pull the focus right into the center of the action.

This card perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries or simply to brighten someone’s day.

You Make My Heart Soar Interactive Card

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, today I’m sharing a fun interactive pop-up card featuring the Love Is In the Air stamp set from Time For Tea Designs. With its bright colours and playful design, this card would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.

I started by cutting white cardstock to 3¾ x 5 inches. Using the cloud section of the Beach Scene Builder 6x6’ Stencil, I ink-blended Saltwater Taffy, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides with my Beautiful Blender Brushes. To add extra interest, I finished the background with white splatter using Distress Spray Stain.

Next, I followed the Lawn Fawn video tutorial to die-cut the blended panel and assemble the interactive element using the Pull ’n Pop Pull Tab Die. For the top panel, I used a stitched cloud die along the bottom edge and adhered it to the ink-blended panel with liquid glue. Before attaching it, I stamped the sentiment, “You make my heart SOAR.”

I then used 3mm double-sided tape to adhere the interactive panel to an A2 card base, which I had covered with patterned paper from the Pawsome Rainbows 6x6' Paper Pad. I absolutely love how fun and colourful this paper collection is.

To finish the card, I stamped images from the Love Is In the Air stamp set and coloured them with Copic markers, adding white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen. I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card with liquid glue.

The background is a soft green stripe pattern that gives the perfect bakery wallpaper vibe. All of the elements were stamped, coloured with alcohol markers and arranged to build up this charming dessert counter. Cupcakes, muffins, a fancy layer cake and more are all proudly displayed on their stands.

I gave the hippo baker a matching hat and bow tie combo in teal to coordinate with the background and added a subtle blush to their cheeks for that extra bit of cuteness. 

The sentiment “something sweet just for you” is heat embossed in white onto a woodgrain-style shelf that runs across the bottom. Finally, I framed the whole scene with a stitched scalloped rectangle for a soft, inviting feel. 

This card was such a joy to make and would be perfect for a birthday, thank you or just because!

New Year's Snowman Tag

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here, and I’m excited to share a mixed-media New Year’s tag featuring stamps, dies, and a stencil from Time For Tea Designs.

To start, I spread Wendy Vecchi's translucent embossing paste over the Movie Star 6 x6" Stencil onto a Tim Holtz mixed-media heavy stock tag using a palette knife. Once the paste dried, I picked up pigment from the tips of my Distress Watercolour pencils with a wet brush and applied it to the tag’s surface. I layered the colours, adding more pigment and water to create a soft, blended effect. For an extra touch, I spritzed the tag with my Distress Sprayer to add droplets of water, then set it aside to air dry. I used the following Distress Watercolour colours: Saltwater Taffy, Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, and Scattered Straw.

Next, I die-cut the Happy New Year Sentiment Die using both navy blue and silver cardstock. I glued the two pieces together with liquid glue, offsetting them slightly to create a shadow effect, then adhered the sentiment to the tag.

I stamped images from the Snow Much Fun and Happy New Year Critters stamp sets, then colored them with my Copic markers. After cutting them out with the coordinating dies, I added accents with a white gel pen for extra detail.

To finish, I added sparkles to the edges of some of the images using a Quickie Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter. I adhered the stamped images to the tag with either liquid glue or 1mm double-sided foam tape for added dimension.

I started by creating the brick wall background using a stencil and ink blended with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide as I wanted to try a bright colour that I don’t normally go for. The shelves were rectangles that I drew and coloured to look like warm wood tones, then I filled them up with books, little plants, and of course, the stars of the show - two adorable cats! Everything was stamped, coloured with alcohol markers and some white gel pen details for highlights.

The sentiments “Meowdy!” and “Meow you doing?” were stamped in black ink and popped up with an extra layer of cardstock for a playful finish. A couple of red hearts add just the right touch of love.

I love the punny sentiments and bright colour palette for this cheerful bookshelf scene. This card a fun way to mix books, plants and pets all in one design. Hope your day is purrfect!

New Year's Cheers!

Happy New Year! DT Annalisa here, starting 2026 with a golden-themed celebration card using several Time For Tea Designs stamps and dies. These two adorable bunnies are ringing in the new year with some bubbly!

For the background, I used Scattered Straw Distress Watercolour Pencil on Distress Watercolour Paper, applying a layering technique to create an organic watercolour effect. Each layer is slightly smaller than the last, with increasing pigment concentration. I learned this technique in Jenn Shurkus' "Watercolour Pencil Part 2" class. I gained so many insights from this class and highly recommend it if you’ve invested in Distress Watercolour Pencils.

Once the background dried, I added some splatter using a paintbrush and Antique Linen Distress Spritz for a lovely sparkle effect. Afterward, I adhered the background to an A2 card base.

Next, I cut some gold glitter cardstock using the Zig Zag Frame and Tag Die (an oldie but a goodie from T4T!). I used liquid glue to attach this frame to the card base.

For the sentiment, I used the Happy New Year Sentiment Die cut from gold-patterned paper. To add dimension, I die-cut the same sentiment from white cardstock and stacked the layers using liquid glue. Then, I adhered the stacked sentiment to the card.

I stamped and colored images from several stamp sets, using Copic markers and adding highlights with a white gel pen. The stamp sets I used were: Fruitful Friends, Happy New Year Critters, Blooming Bunnies, Seasons Tweetings, and Santa’s Nice List. To add extra sparkle, I highlighted the edges of some images with a Quickie Glue Pen and Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter.

Finally, I attached the images to the card base using liquid glue and foam tape for extra dimension.
