Sending Love

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here and I'm excited to share a card I created using the Oops a Daisy stamp set from Time For Tea Designs. This adorable set features kitties and flowers, two of my absolute favourites!

I started by ink-blending Kitsch Flamingo onto white cardstock, which I then die-cut using the Sweet Scalloped Dies. To add some texture, I applied white splatters using Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain before attaching the panel to a card base with double-sided tape.

Next, I trimmed patterned paper from the Joyful Winter Paper Pad to fit within the stitched lines on the pink panel and secured it with double-sided tape.

For the heart design, I die-cut Ranger Distress Watercolour Cardstock with the Heart Nesting Dies. To add colour, I used Saltwater Taffy, Picked Raspberry, Tattered Rose, and Spun Sugar Distress Watercolour Pencils. I soaked the pencils in water, scribbled the colours onto acetate, and then spritzed the acetate with water. After that, I pressed the acetate onto the watercolour paper repeatedly, heat-setting and spritzing with water as needed. I also incorporated Mica Spray Stains in Cocktail Party and Sugary Gumdrop for extra shimmer.

Using liquid glue, I adhered the heart to the card base.

I then stamped images from three stamp sets: Oops a Daisy,  Fruitful Friends and Squeeze the Day. I colored these images with Copic markers and added accents with a white gel pen.

Finally, I used liquid glue to attach the stamped elements and sentiment, completing the card.

Heart Shaped Valentine

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here! With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I am sharing a heart-shaped card I created with watercolour pencils and the Sweet On You stamp set from Time For Tea Designs.

I used the Heart Nesting Dies to cut watercolour cardstock. I coloured red and pink hearts, starting with the smartest and ending with the largest, with Distress Watercolour pencils.

I used the following colours of Distress Watercolour pencils: Lumberjack Plaid, Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar. I added splatter using spun sugar and worn lipstick Distress Watercolour pencils.

I learned this technique from an online course by Jenn Shurkus - "Distress Techniques, Watercolour Pencils - part 2" and I love how it turned out.

I die-cut a large heart from teal cardstock and adhered it to the watercoloured heart panel with double-sided foam tape. I used a Gelly Roll Pen to add stitched lines to the teal cardstock.

Next, I stamped and used Copics to colour images from the Sweet On You stamp set. I die-cut them out with the coordinating die set. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen.

I stuck the images and sentiment to the card base using double-sided foam tape for dimension.

To complete the card, I added dots glitter with Cotton Candy Stickles and heart stickers in my stash.

Love Ya Lots!

Happy Friday, from DT Annalisa! I am sharing a Valentine's Day card I created using three die sets from Time For Tea Designs and Distress Water Colour Pencils.

I started by using the Stitched Quilted Cover Die and the Sweet Scalloped Dies on white cardstock to create two white panels. I adhered the stitched piece to a card base with double-sided tape.

Next, I added some splatter using Spun Sugar and Salvaged Patina Distress Watercolor Pencils, water, and a watercolour brush. I secured this splattered panel to the card base with double-sided foam tape.

For the hearts, I used the smallest heart die from the Heart Nesting Dies to cut out nine hearts from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I coloured the hearts using the following Distress Watercolor Pencils: Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, and Lumberjack Plaid.

For each heart, I first coloured the entire shape with one colour and then heat-set it using the Ranger Heat Tool. I layered on a second and third coat of the same colour, heat-setting in between layers.

By heat-setting throughout the process, I was able to control the water and keep the pigment in place.

Finally, I used liquid glue to adhere the hearts to the card base. I chose the 'love ya lots!' sentiment from the Brighter Days Sentiment Cards | White on Grey, attaching it with double-sided foam tape for added dimension.

Thinking of You Every Daisy

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here sharing a sweet Thinking of You card featuring the Oops a Daisy stamp set and the Scattered Hearts Stencil. This is my most used stencil from Time For Tea Designs!

I ink-blended kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, scattered stray and cracked pistachio Distress Oxides onto an A2 card through the Scattered Hearts Stencil with my Beautiful Blender Brushes. After I removed the stencil, I filled in the white areas left on the card with the remaining ink on the brushes.

I used a stitched rectangle die to trim a white card panel to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. I then used one of the Heart Nesting Dies to cut out a heart from the upper center section of his panel. I used 1mm double-sided foam tape to stick this to the card base over the ink-blended area.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) several images from the Oops a Daisy stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating die set. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen.

I used the Fenced In Dies to die-cut white woodgrain card stock and stuck this to the card with liquid glue. I attached the images to the card base using a combination of liquid glue and double-sided foam tape for dimension.

I stamped and die-cut the sentiment with its' coordinating die and used liquid glue to attach it to the card.

Lime All Yours Bunnies

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here today I share a lime-coloured punny card. Who doesn't love a good pun? I combined new and older Time For Tea Designs stamp sets to create this scene.

I started by adding several drops of twisted citron Distress Paint onto my glass matt and spraying it with water. I pressed water-coloured cardstock into the paint several times to create a bright green background.

Once the background was dry, I used the Simple Square Nesting Dies to die-cut it out. I then glued it to a 4 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inch card base.

I used the same die set to cut some patterned paper to a 4-by-4-inch square. I then used the Heart Nesting Dies to cut into this patterned paper. I also cut a 4-inch by 1/2-inch piece of green patterned paper and glued it to the bottom area.

I stuck down vellum paper on the card base in the area where the heart opening was. I then used liquid glue to adhere the green patterned paper to the card base.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) two bunny images from Blooming Bunnies, the lime from Squeeze the Day and the butterfly and bee from I Really Dig You. I cut the images out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen.

I used double-sided foam tape to stick the bunnies, lime and sentiment to the card base. I used liquid glue to stick the butterfly and bee.

I used the letters in 'lime' from the Appletini Puffy Alpha Stickers and stuck them above 'all yours' in the center of the heart opening in the card.

Sweet Shaker Hearts

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here today! I recently got my hands on the Heart Nesting Dies
from Time For Tea Designs and had to make a shaker with them and the cute little characters from Sweet Cart Critters.

I used my Beautiful Blender Brushes to ink-blend several colours onto an A6 white card base. The colours were as follows: yellow; squeezed lemonade Distress Ink, Butter Bar Hero Arts Shadow Ink, blue; tumbled glass Distress Ink, Surf and Ocean Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks, green; Altenew Limeade Bamboo.

For added interest, I added splatter with water, silver metallic watercolour and a paintbrush and set it aside to dry.

I used the largest Simple Nesting Dies – A6 to cut patterned paper from the Pawsome Rainbows 6x6' Paper Pad. I used two dies from the Heart Nesting Dies to cut three open areas in this patterned paper piece. I placed the openings in the areas where I had ink blended.

I added acetate to the back of the patterned paper with double-sided tape. Then I added 3mm double-sided tape to the back of this and stuck it down to the inked card base. I had placed clear and coloured sequins in the appropriate areas before adhering down the hearts panel.

I stamped and coloured (with Copics) several images from Sweet Cart Critters and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I added white gel pen accents with a Gelly Roll Pen.

The two sentiment stamps were from Warm Hugs and cut out with the coordinating die set.
