Sending Bear Hugs!

 

Well the weekend is finally here, feels like it’s been a long time coming this week. It’s another cloudy day here today so a day of crafting maybe in order! 

For today’s card I have an adorable Panda card you using the Pandamonium Party Stamp Set. It was nice to colour up some old favourites and the great thing about the pandas is when you don’t fancy doing loads of colouring then you don’t need to. I stamped them out and just added a little bit of shading with some warm grey copics and a little rosey cheeks and paws with R11. Then finished it off with three white dots on the cheeks using a white gelly roll pen.

I also coloured up some bits of bamboo and leaves and the balloons just to give it a pop of colour with the red and yellow. 

For the base of the card I used the Mini Slimline Scallop Dies which I taped together at the back using some washi tape whilst I stencilled onto it. I used the new Slimline Scene Builder Stencil to create some clouds and then went over the top with a bamboo stencil from another brand. When I finished this up it was way too much though like one of those magic eye stencils that send your eyes funny lol! To fix it I just cut out another white frame and layered it over the top. 

Before I placed my pandas on the card I wanted to create my sentiment to see how everything fit. I used the rectangle die from panda stamp set to cut out my base. Then added the same green distress oxide on top that I used for the bamboo and stamped straight on top of that. It’s a big sentiment box but I like the block of colour it adds to the card and breaks up the background a little. I popped this in the middle at the bottom and laid all my pandas and accessories around it and that was my cad finished up. Since the pandas don’t need colouring much and the slimline is quite small it really was a quick and easy card to create. 'You make me smile' card

I hope you had a lovely weekend. I got some quality crafty time, it felt very productive which is always great!

Among other projects, I made this shaker slimline card with Time for Tea Design products. I wanted to use the gorgeous patterned papers from the Brighter Days 6x6' paper pad. Have you seen it already? It has the happiest designs and colours!

I started by die cutting my base panel from purple cardstock with the largest of the Slimline Scalloped Trio Circle nesting dies, then used the middle one to die cut the pale pink cardstock and the smallest one to cut the white panel. 

I then used the partial die cutting technique with the new horizontal Tulip Add On Die Set. This die comes with three tulips but I wanted space in the middle for my sentiments 🌷🌷. After that, I splattered some Distress Oxide shaded lilac and spun sugar with a round size 8 on my panel for some extra interest.

Now it was time to make the shaker! I prepared some acetate and glued it flat behind each tulip negative space. I used the foam roll around each tulip to create my shaker. I then filled the tulips with a sequin mix and glued acetate on top to secure my shaker area. This really helps as you can then move your panel and align it when gluing it down. This is a technique I learned from the lovely Jo.

I then die cut 4 layers of the large script hello sentiment die and one from the purple cardstock I used for my base panel. I absolutely love the basic word dies from T4TD as they come with a shadow die and they are the perfect size for any card. I also added a strip from the Brighter Days Sentiment Cards, I always love that touch of a black strip sentiment on a card.

As usual, I could not help myself but finish off the card with some Little Things from Lucy’s cards sequins! They just complete the card so nicely.

Up, up and Away

 

Happy Friday everyone. DT Annalisa here and my project today features the Up, Up & Away Clear Stamp Set from the August release as well as the little mouse from the Treat Yourself Clear Stamp Set. The mice in this set are adorable!

I cut out some white card stock using the Scalloped Slimline Die and used three Distress Oxides (Salty Ocean, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar) on my Sunny Side up Again stencil to create the clouds. I used the same stencil and Twisted Citron to create the grass and then added some water droplets.

I die cut out a sheet of fun foam using the scalloped slimline die and adhered it to the background scene and then a slimline card base. Fun foam is a great way to add some dimension without having to cut up a lot of foam tape!

I stamped and coloured the three images and then cut them out. I mounted the hot air balloon on some foam tape. I also die cut out the 'up, up and away' sentiment using the Pandamonium Party coordinating die set and adhered it to the background using foam tape. I used liquid glue to stick down the mouse and the bear with the kite.

To finish the card I added some coloured sequins that I have had in my stash for a long time.

Rainbow after the Storm

 

Happy Friday! DT Annalisa here sharing a bright card featuring two new stamp sets and two new dies from the July release. This huge release is awesome and can be used to create so many awesome and unique cards!

To start I created a card base 3 1/2 wide by 8 1/2 inches tall and coloured the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. Next, I used the new Scalloped Slimline Die - this is such a great die for slimline cards! I used the Sunny Side up Again stencil and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink to create the sun and rays. I used Twisted Citron to create the grass and then added some water droplets on top of the sun and the grass.

Next, I die cut the Rainbow Mini Shaker Die five times from heavy card stock. For the base section, I left the inside rainbow areas in rather than taking them out. I coloured each rainbow section in using Distress Oxides and my Small Beautiful Blender Brushes - the small brushes made this process so much easier! I layered on the other die-cut rainbow sections and glued them down using liquid glue. For the final section, I used some acetate to create a clear barrier, before I glued it on the top I added in some glitz chunky glitter to each rainbow section. The Recollections glitter fits perfectly in each section.

I stamped the kitty with the umbrella and raindrops from the All Occasion Critters Clear Stamp Set and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I used my copics to colour in the kitty stamp. I also stamped, coloured and die cut the little bees from the set - they are so adorable.

I used the coordinating dies from the Storms Don’t Last Forever stamp set to cut out the clouds. I coloured the larger ones in with my grey copics to make them look dark and stormy. I stamped the sentiment 'the greater the storm the brighter the rainbow' and die cut it out.

Once everything was stamped and coloured I adhered all the elements to the card. I added some sparkle to the umbrella and raindrops with my Wink of Stella pen to complete the card.

Rainbow HELLO!!

DT Anila here on the blog today sharing this simple CAS card. 

I have used the newly released Slimline scalloped frame die and stretched it differently.

I began by cutting strips of watercolor paper. Coloured them in rainbow colours. Die-cut each of them using the border frame die. On a white card base, I stacked all the strips over each other in Rainbow order. Finished off the top using a thin strip of golf foil cardstock. Stamped the sentiment from the Grateful for you landscape stamp set.
