I love you to Pizzas

Hello Tea Timers! Happy Tuesday! Who here loves pizza? I totally do so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this cute stamp in the Let's Spoon set! For today's card I also have a reel over on IG showcasing the process so please make sure to check it out here.

For today's card I started off by using the A2 Stitched Hearts Dies to create my background. I then ink blended it using the following Distress Oxide colours:

  • Tumbled Glass
  • Broken China
  • Peacock Feathers
I then added some splatters in the same colours to add some interest to my background. Next, I used the stitched die from the same set and cut it 4 times from white cardstock. I glued them together and added the stack to the middle of my ink blended panel.

Next up, I stamped the pizza from the Let's Spoon set twice on white cardstock. I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers to colour them in and cut them using the matching dies. I embossed the matching sentiment in WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder on black cardstock and cut it using the matching die.

I added the images on top of the white panel and used some heart gems to add some interest. Once my panel was done, I glued it to a top folding A2 card panel.

Happy Everything

 Good afternoon Teatimers,

I'm here today sharing this bright and happy card.  I absolutely love these cute crocs from the Snappy Before Coffee stamp set and think they are perfect for just about any occasion. I wanted to create a just because card, and who doesn't need to be wished Happy everything!

To start as always I stamped and coloured my images using my Spectrum Noir Markers, (colours listed below in order of lightest to darkest)

Green - LG1, LG3, LG5

Yellow - LY2,  LY1,  LY3,  GB4

Pink - CR3, CR2, CR6

To create my background I first took a piece of white card cut to an A6 size and using the Scene Builder Stencil and Salty Ocean distress ink created a cloudy background.  I then cut the Sunray Cover Plate from white card and added colour with Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade distress inks.

I die cut a strip of card using the Landscape Edge Dies and added colour with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn distress inks, finally adding splatters to each piece with white & metallic paints.

I matted the whole panel onto a 6x6 card blank and trimmed down to size.

I die cut the 'Happy' from the Happy Mail Add On Dies twice from white days and once from black to give dimension and stamped the 'everything' from the Bold Sentiments stamp set.

To finish I added a few white enamel dots around the card.

Thank you for joining me here on the blog today, as always you can use my code T4TLYNDSEY10 for 10% off your order in store.

Let's Catch Up!

Happy Saturday Teatimer's have you had a good week? I decided to mix things up this week and make a tag using the Happy Mail Die to create this fun cafe scene. I began by cutting out the Happy Mail Gift Card Holder Die twice out of the white card and cutting off the legs. Then in one of them I cut out a rectangle to create the window for the cafe front. Using the rectangle that I cut out I used the Small Inverted Scallop Frame Dies to create the canopy at the top and coloured it with yellow Copics and cut out a strip to create my counter top. Which I coloured up using a range a range of cold greys to create a marbled effect.
Taking the bottom tag piece I ink blended some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. Then on top I adhered some white card that I had cut out using the Geometric Snowflake Cover Die, to create a tile effect for the background. For the front tag piece I blended Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides and spritzed some water on to add some texture. I also took the Floral Bloom Stencil and used the Abandoned Coral to create some flowers and outlined them with a white Gelly roll pen. Lastly cutting out a hole on both pieces for the ribbon using the die from the Memory Keeping Essential Dies Set.
I stamped out the critters from the Cafe Critters and added the coffee cart from the Snappy Before Coffee Stamp Set. I coloured them all up with copic markers and again added some with gelly roll to add some finishing touches.
When adhering everything together I added foam tape to create layers so the critters were more in the foreground and there was some depth between the ones in the cafe and the dog that's making the coffees. This makes the tag look more 3-D and as though the dog is behind the counter of the cafe.
It was fun to mix it up a little and do something different to a card I hope you like it too. You can find all the supplies in the Time for Tea shop and get 10% off your order using code T4TNATALIE10
Have a great weekend and I will see you all next week!

Thank You Kitty

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here. I am so excited that we get to spring forward this weekend here in Canada and get an extra hour of daylight in the evening! I am sharing a thank you card today featuring several Time For Tea Designs dies and one stamp set.

For the back panel, I ink blended some Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide using my Beautiful Rainbow Blender Brushes to some white cardstock. I added some water splatter using a paintbrush and set this aside to dry. I used a stitched square die to cut out white card stock, which I then die cut again using the Thank You Sentiment Die Set. I splattered on Tumbled Glass to this panel and set it aside to dry.

For the snow, I used the Slimline Hillside Scene Dies to cut white card stock, I die cut it a second time using the same stitched square die. I glued the snow piece to the 'thank you' square panel and then added this to the ink blended panel.

I used some coloured card stock to cut the little houses using the Home For Christmas Dies. I glued these down to the snow and thank you panel and then added some highlights with a white gelly roll pen.

I stamped, coloured (with Copics) and die cut the kitty from the Happy Mail Critters and glued this down to the card base. I added the die-cut snowflakes I created using the Falalala Scalloped Slimline Dies to the card around the sentiment and in the kitty's paw.

To complete the card, I added some snow stickers and white enamel accents.

Good Luck Hamster

Hey friends!  It's Amanda back here again with another card to share with you!
Today's card is a fun Hooray Hamster and Scattered Hearts Die card!
I started by blending Serenade and Drive-In inks, focusing the darker color on the edges.  Then, I die cut the Scattered Hearts Die and trimmed it down to 4" x 5.25".  I also trimmed down a piece of black cardstock to 4" x 5.25".

Next, I stamped my images from the Hooray Hamster stamp set and colored them with Copic markers.

I grabbed my Brighter Days Sentiment Cards and cut out the "Wishing you lots of luck" sentiment.  I used my scissors to cut out little triangles on the edges.

I saved all my cut out hearts and propped up a few with 3D foam squares.  I also saved them for some upcoming cards!  ;)

I used glue and 3D foam squares to assemble the entire card!

And that is it for me today!  I hope you've enjoyed this post and feel inspired to make something fun!
Crafty hugs!  Amanda

You are the beary best - A2 card

Hello tea timers!

It's Miki here and today I want to show you how I used the Stitched Slopes Slimline die in a slightly different way. I love stretching my supplies to find new ways to use them.

To start with, I ink blended my background in Scattered Straw for the sand and Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean for the sea. I then sprayed it with perfect pearls and water for added details. Once the panel was dry I used the Stitched Slopes Slimline die to cut it out. I cut it another two times from white cardstock and glued the pieces together. I kept one of the outline dies and used it to piece my background back together in the middle of an A2 card base.

For the critters and sentiment I used the Bears Picnic Stamp set. I embossed the you are the BEARY BEST sentiment in white at the top of my card and stamped a couple ants around the bottom. I then stamped the bear and the little picnic basket on white card stock and coloured them in. I used the matching dies to cut them and added some white highlights. I added them to the card using foam tape.

To finish off the card I added some gems.

I hope you like today's card and it inspires you to use your products in different ways. If you shop on the T4TD store please remember to use my code T4TMIKI10 for 10% off your order.

Make good use of your patterned paper!

Hi Tea-Timers, hope you're all well! For this month's blog tutorial, I'm going to do something a little different - instead of focusing on a particular technique, I'm looking at a particular resource - patterned paper!

If you're anything like me, you'll have a stash of beautiful papers, but you might not be sure on how to incorporate them into your cards. Or maybe you're too afraid to cut into them... or you might not have even bought any because you don't know how you'd use them! So, here's some ideas on how to use up that crafty stash and let those beautiful papers shine!

1. Let the paper be the main feature of your card

Have a paper that you really love? Why not let it be the main focus of your card? I fell in love with the beautiful spring vibes of this paper, and wanted the pretty florals to be the main focus of my card, so I simply added a die-cut sentiment (coloured with Copics) and pre-made sentiment strip, and a few co-ordinating sequins (by Lucy's Cards). I trimmed the paper down to 3.75" x 5" and added some foam to the back, before adhering it to a white A2 card base. Quick, simple, and super pretty!

2. Use the patterned paper to create a scene

Why not create a scene with your papers, and then add some cute critters? For this card, I used the cloudy sky paper from the Brighter Days paper pad to make the sky, then die cut the ground using one of my Landscape Edge dies

As the patterned paper is quite bold, I kept the rest of the card minimal with white ground and white die cut letters to co-ordinate with the clouds, and I matched the piggy's coffee cup with the blue sky. For my FRIEND sentiment, I used the Anthony's Alphas dies and popped them up with foam tape, then I stamped, coloured and die cut the little pig from the All Occasions Critters set, and added him with liquid glue.

Another example of using your patterned papers to set the scene is this card I made for Valentines Day, where the sky and grass are again both papers from the Brighter Days pad:

3. Use your paper to add a co-ordinating border

On this card, I used the black and white paper to co-ordinate with the bold, black outlines of the coffee cups. I made a mini-slimline card base (6" x 3.5"), added a strip of the patterned paper to the left edge, then added my coloured and die-cut coffee cups in a vertical line down the card. I then simply added a sentiment, heat embossed in white on to black card stock, to pull all of the black and white elements together.

4. Have your paper popping out from behind a die cut element

This is another super simple card that packs a punch because of the bold, striped paper visible through the shaker window. I used the Big Birthday Wishes sentiment die to make a window in a white piece of card, just smaller than A2 size, glued some acetate behind the window, and added foam tape around it to create a shaker window. I then filled it with clear sequins, placed the patterned paper over the window, and added the whole shaker to an A2 card base.

5. Use your patterned paper to "colour" your stamped images

I particularly love this technique! In my first example, I stamped out the houses from the Hillside Village set on six different patterned papers, and fussy cut each of them, before assembling them back into the little row of houses. I attached them to my slimline card base using different depths of foam tape, to give the card some interesting dimension. I then stamped my sentiment (from the Be Slothy set), added a few raindrop embellishments, and mounted the panel onto a neutral coloured slimline base.

Another example using this technique is this fun Christmas card, using the Stop Dachshund Around stamp set - I stamped the dogs' jumpers onto different patterned papers from the Joyful Winter paper pad, before gluing them to my coloured-in dogs :)

I hope that's given you some inspiration, and you'll break out those paper pads soon! If you're still not sure, my final tip would be to check out some card sketches online - you could use these to give you an idea of where to use patterned papers as an accent on your card.

I'd love to see how you use your papers - make sure you share them on the T4TD Friends Page, or on your social media, and make sure you tag us so we can see what you've made!
