Celebrate

 Hello! Silvia's here today!

I'm so in love with the new die sets from the Brighter Days Collection that today I'd like to share with you a card made using only dies.

I started die cutting the biggest panel from the "Large Scallop Celebrate Frame" die set and I ink blended it with  Distress Oxide inks ( I used tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon for the sky and mowed lawn and rustic wilderness for the grass). I also added a vintage touch to my scene blending the edges of the panel with gathered twigs Distress ink.

I then die cut all the pieces from the "Bunny Builder" die set, I colored some of them with Distress Oxide inks and some with alcohol markers and I put them together with liquid glue.

Next I die cut the word "Celebrate" from the Frame die set three times and I glued them one above the other to get a bit of dimension.

I put everything together and I also added two white puffy clouds from the "Windmill Add-on" die set and a pink panel from the "Brighter Days" paper pad.

Thank you so much for passing by today, I hope you like the card! And remember to use my disount code at checkout to get 10% off your order (T4TSILVIA10)!

Hugs, Silvia.

Slimline Shaker Card Video Tutorial

Hello DT Vic popping in today with a fun video tutorial for you. I’m using some gorgeous products from the New Release.

For my card today I wanted to create a fun shaker card and I’ve also made a watercolour background using some distress inks. I will show you in the video how I made this card step by step.

I used the Slimline Scalloped Trio Nesting Circle Dies for my bases which I run through my die cutting machine and added some distress inks for my watercolour background. Next I used the Tulip Add On Die Set (Horizontal) and securing this onto my watercolour card I run this through my die cutting machine. I love this die and as soon I saw the die I knew I had to make a shaker card. This will also cut out three tulips so keep these pieces to save for another project.

I then made my shaker card you can see how this was created in the video. Once my shaker part was made I moved onto my images. I used the gorgeous Lucky Ducks Clear Stamps and Coordinating Dies. Aren’t the ducks just too cute! I stamped them up and using copic friendly card I coloured the ducks, dragonflies and grass in using my copic markers. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I adhered all my images onto my card and for my sentiment I used the Brighter Days Sentiments Cards. I absolutely love these sentiment strips they are so handy you just cut them down and pop them onto your card. They are also perfect if your not a fan of heat embossing. Once my sentiment was added I then added a few sequins to finish my card off.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today I hope you enjoy the video. You can also save 10% off your order using the code: T4TVICKI10 at the checkout and this includes the brand new release.
Have a lovely day!

Tree of Love - 'you are beautiful' card

Hello lovelies!

It is Natalia here with you today. I hope you are having a great bank holiday Monday if you are in the UK, or had a beautiful weekend if you are not!

I have another card to show you today using products from the gorgeous new Brighter Days releaseI usually prefer stamping to die cutting, but when I got this Tree of Love Cover plate die, it was the first thing I got my hands onto! It is just SO beautiful, ideas of what I could make with it kept popping onto my head.

This technique is very simple, yet I find it very effective. I started of by preparing a printer paper panel just a bit bigger than the die's size. I then cut strips of paper, 1/4 of an inch each from a blue, green, yellow, pink and lilac low gsm cardstock. The reason I used thinner paper was because I wanted the intricate areas of the die to cut through my two layers of paper easily, and it did, wonderfully! I die cut the striped background with the Tree of Love die, and kept all the pieces as one panel and set them aside. Important: don't lose any pieces, like I did 🙈!! You will need them later.

Next, I die cut the tree of love die from black cardstock twice, and used liquid glue to put them together. I then mounted them onto a slightly bigger black cardstock panel so that there was a border all around.

Now it was puzzle time: I used the die cut pieces from the striped panel to inlay them in the negative spaces on my black tree panel. I just think the colourful negative pieces make the black tree stand out beautifully!

At this point, the card didn't need much more, so I decided to keep it simple and use one of the sentiments in the Brighter Days sentiment cards which are just so easy to use. A tip here: when you cut your sentiment, take a black marker and go around the edges of the sentiment to cover the white. Now it looks as if it was all black cardstock!

I finished it off with some My little things from Lucy's cards gems, which I can't finish a project without!

I hope you like this technique, and you give it a go - it is so much fun!

Face Book Live Cards In Close Up!

Happy Bank Holiday Monday everyone!! I hope you are having a relaxing crafty weekend. Lets face it the weather isn't up to much is it? So, its the perfect excuse to be inside crafting! :)

I wanted to share with you the pictures I took of the 2 cards I made during our last FB Live. I love how these turned out. You can watch the replay on our YouTube Channel now too.

Both cards used images from the new Blooming Bunnies stamp set. I had already coloured these images with my Copic Markers.

The first card I made was a sweet and simple shaker card. I created the background with patterned papers which made it a really super quick make.

The second card was a again a really quick card to put together. Once the ink blended background was completed, I die cut it using the new Celebrate Scallop Dies. I then cut 4 of the sentiment 'Celebrate' & layered those up. I added a secondary sentiment using the Brighter Days Sentiment Strips. These strips make adding a message to your card so simple. I love them!

I really hope you enjoy the cards and the video.
Enjoy your Bank Holiday & I'll hopefully see you for the next FB Live on Thursday at 8PM BST.
XOXO

Celebrate with Dies

 Good afternoon everyone,

Yesterday we had our new monthly Challenge start here on the blog and so today I want to share a little inspiration using one of new release dies the Large Scalloped Frame Die. This die consists of 2 large Scalloped Frame Dies and the 'CELEBRATE' sentiment too!.

I wanted to create an actual Frame for my card, so I took the the largest Scalloped Frame Die and the 3rd largest A2 Nesting Die and cut out from white card to create a frame.

On a piece of copy paper I added a selection of multicoloured card strips about 1cm wide to create a rainbow panel, which was then cut to size and added behind the frame.

The 'Celebrate' was cut 3 times from white card and once from gold glitter card to give it some dimension and added to the centre of the panel. A secondary sentiment was stamped and embossed on black card and added underneath the Celebrate.

I trimed a 6x6 card blank down to 12cm wide and added a piece of patterned paper from the Brighter Days 6x6 Pad cut slightly smaller than the card.

The frame panel was then added to the card using foam pads, before finishing off the card with coloured sequins matching the colour of the strip behind it.

Thank you for joining me here on the today,  we would love for you to join in the challenge and share your creations.

You can also get 10% off your order in store by using my code T4TLYNDSEY10 😀

Spring Shaker Card!

Happy Saturday everyone its my first card to share with those adorable new bunnies from the new  Blooming Bunnies stamp set. I teamed it with the Tulip Aperture Slimline Add on Die set to create this fun spring themed shaker card. It's a quick and easy card to make which is always great but still looks great.
I began by cutting out the smallest rectangle in the Slimline Scalloped Trio Nesting Dies with the Tulip Die in the centre to cut out the shaker windows. I also cut out the next sized up rectangle and the smaller one again but without the tulips cut out. To create the background I used Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink just blending them together and then spritzing with water to give some texture. I did this twice so that I could flip them around so you can see the yellow is at the back with the pink tulip and the opposite at the top.
Whilst I waited for these to dry I stamped out my bunnies and a couple of the flowers I used warm grey copics for the bunnies with a hint of R11 for the cheeks for the bunnies. The flowers were really simple to colour as they are quite small images so not much shading is required. Then cut them out with the coordinating dies.
To put the shaker card together I added my acetate for the windows and used foam tape on the back of the white slimline piece of card with the tulips cut out. I made the tulips as separate shaker pieces so you don't have to use too many sequins. Also I wanted to have some contrast between the background and the sequins its only subtle but I used darker pink against the yellow and a softer pink against the kitsch flamingo.
Before I added the sequins I took the backing of the foam tape and added the sequins this way there's less of a chance of getting your sequins stuck to the foam tape.
Once the sequins were added I could pop on the back piece adding the pink at the bottom to give the contrast. This was then popped onto the other piece of card I'd coloured but with the yellow at the bottom this time.
Then it was just adding the bunnies and the sentiment which was from the new Brighter Days Sentiment card the grey on white version. I like the softer look of the grey and they are so quick for sentiments I love them. The last bit was to pop it on my card base ad that was my card finished up for this week. I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial and don't forget you can get 10% off in the shop using code T4TNATALIE10
Have a great weekend!

Challenge #2 - Use Dies

 Hello everyone!

So our first challenge is all complete and we'll be announcing the winners on 15th May here on the blog and also in our fb groups.

But now it's time for the second challenge!

Now we understand that some of you may not have T4TD dies in your craft stash yet, so just for this challenge we're relaxing the rules a bit. Although we'd love for you to use T4TD dies, as long as you use T4TD stamps and stencils for your entry it will be OK to use any dies you already have.

And remember you can use our free digital images for your entry too. Grab yourself one HERE.

How about a little DT inspiration from Lien to get you in the mood?

Lien has used the awesome Box Clever Card Die to create her awesome card.

The super cute images are from the Happy Mail Critters and Treat Yourself stamp and die sets.

Don't you just love the shades of pink and her amazing colouring of the animal images?

I'd really love a pink mail box like this one, wouldn't you?

How about a little reminder about the prizes? Check this out!

And how about a little DT inspiration from me? Here's my card using T4TD dies:

I've used the Stripes Cover Plate as the foundation for my card. I inked up a piece of card with distress oxides in happy Spring colours before die cutting it and adhering it to a toning aqua card base.

I then used some of the cut out pieces to die cut the leaves from the Spring Blooms set. I also inked up some smaller pieces of card in pinks and oranges and die cut some flowers. I popped a few up on foam pads for extra dimension.

I finished off my card using the Happy Birthday Sentiment die.

I'm hoping you're now raring to go, so all I need to do is remind you how to play along.

The key things are that you should use T4TD stamps and stencils along with any dies you have in your stash - yes any dies, remember we've relaxed the rules just for this challenge.

I'm so looking forward to seeing your entries pop up in the Challenge #2 album in our friends facebook group.

Enjoy!
