Hooray Hamster, and Mini Frames Card

Hi all!
Its Cat here with some inspiration using the Hooray Hamster Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies and the Mini Frames and Banner Die set.

These guys are super adorable and great for any occasion.

To begin I took a 6 inch x 4 inch card and covered the backdrop with Tim Holtz Distress inks. Using Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Seedless Preserve and Chipped Sapphire. I then spritzed the backing with water, and then Splattered with Acrylic Paint.

While that was set aside to dry I continued by stamping out the Hamsters, die cutting them and then colouring them up with Promrkers. Using Grey, Brown, and Pale Yellow shades.

I had a piece of card remaining from cutting out the Square Mini Frame, which is usually thrown away, but I decided to make it into a brand new frame for my card. I distressed it with Black Soot distress ink and splattered with the remaining white acrylic paint.

I then cut out the stars from the mini frame die set and also cut out a banner. With this set I would cut the banner out first then stamp the sentiment, just because the banner die is whole and a lot harder to centralise the sentiment if cut after stamping.

Once the background is dry then you can start assembling the card!

To complete I added a bit of glitter (Because it love it)

I hope you like it

Time For Tea Sponsors for the AAA Card Challenge #169

Hi there!!

Jo here with a fun card for a great Challenge we are sponsoring over at AAA Cards.

The challenge theme is 'Made in Minutes - with a Twist: Christmas in July'

We are sponsoring the challenge with a £15 Gift Card to spend on goodies from the Time For Tea Design’s Store!

I struggle with quick cards as you know so this was a real challenge indeed!
This may not be a few minutes to make but was quite quick for me once I'd come up with the concept.

I also really struggle with Clean & Simple so this really was as simple as I get! haha!

I do love how this card turned out and it was lots of fun to make.

My idea was to create a simple background of a sparkly moon set against a deep blue sky. First, I splattered my card base with metallic paints. I then added some ink to a square of our Bluebird Cardstock and splattered with white metallic paint. I cut a circle from the centre using our Circle of Love Dies.

I coloured and die cut the images from the Be Owlsome stamp set and die cut the stars from the set using some gold Cardstock. I used the same Cardstock to cut my sentiment.

Before adhering all my elements I stamped the sentiment ‘happy’ in embossing ink at the top of my circle aperture. I used Wow gold embossing powder to set my ink.
My night sky piece was adhered with foam tape as were my owl and the branch he is sitting on.
The stars & Christmas sentiment were added with liquid glue.

Once my images were coloured and all my pieces die cut, this really was a quick card to make. This is officially the first Christmas Card I have made this year and with a set that isn’t even Christmas themed so I’m even more thrilled with the result! Why not try this with some of your non-Christmas themed sets too!

I hope you enjoyed the card today. Head over to the AAA Card Challenge Blog to find out more about this months theme and how you can enter to win our fabulous prize! You’ll also find loads more inspiration from the AAA Card Challenge Design Team.

Happy Crafting

You Bake My Day!

Hi guys, I have a super fun card for you today I literally hadn't planned to make this one it was all a happy accident. If you have been reading my blog post you will know that I like to batch stamp and colour things up so the Hamsters and accessories were left over from a few recent cards and they were lying around on my desk on top of the striped paper and I just loved how they looked together.
So I gathered up my accessories and added them to the critters I wanted the stripes but I didn't want it to be too much so I got my cheese die and cut that out of some crisp white cardstock to stick in front of it.
I popped the white up with some foam tape though to give it some added dimension and added my hamsters complete with their new look. I love how the holes just frame the Hamsters and peek those stripes contrasted again that crisp white cheese panel.
I stamped my sentiment and cut using the sentiment strip from the Mini Frame and Banner Die set then coloured with a blue copic marker and popped it on the card. I then added it to my card base and my card was finished a real quick and easy card today!

Creating A Sunset with Distress Oxide Inks & Fun Giveaway!

Hi and Happy Friday!

I have a new video tutorial for you on our YouTube channel today.....

PLUS an opportunity to win the card we made this week in a fun competition

You’ll have to watch the video though to find out how you can win! 😊

This week I created a slimline card using our Fairy Garden Stamp set. I was especially excited to make this card as we now have the coordinating dies in store. These dies not only cut out all the images but the sentiments too! This makes putting together your project so easy!

We also used the large Thank You sentiment which is stunning, especially when it’s given some dimension like this.

Check out the video for all the details on how we completed our sunset background and all the little finishing touches.

I really hope you enjoyed todays card & lots of luck with our competition!

Details of all the products I used including the new Fairy Garden Coordinating Dies, are listed below.

The Pies The Limit

Happy Friday, DT Annalisa here, my card today features the new Bake My Day A7 Clear Stamp Set. This is a terrific smaller stamp set with some punny sentiments which I love!
To start, I stamped the mouse, chef hat, oven and sentiment and then coloured them in with my copics. I also created a kitchen scene around the stamps using my COPIC 0.3 Multiliner.

Once the scene was coloured I cut it out using my Quilted Square Nesting Die set. I used this same set to also cut out some pink patterned paper. I used liquid glue to adhere the baking scene to the patterned paper to complete the card.

Owl be here for you

Hi DT Sharon here today and I'd like to show you a card I made using the "Be Owlsome" stamp and die set. Be Owlsome is just one of the new releases from T4T.

I've also used the "Hello Nesting Rectangles to make the backgrounds. For the inked background I used distress oxide inks and blended them up the card in light to dark colours and then splashed a little bit of water on the piece. I've coloured the images with alcohol pens and adhered them onto the inked moon with 3D foam pads.
You can see all the new releases and more in the Time For Tea Designs store here

I simply created a watercolor wash background. Die-cut the sentiment twice in white cardstock and layered it. Die-cut the shadow in vellum. Adhered it all on the card.
Stamped, coloured and adhered the images to the card.
