Sneak Peek - Day 2!

Good morning everyone! DT Jennifer here on this lovely Sunday to share my first sneak peek with you as we gear up for the AMAZING July release here at Time For Tea Designs! 

You are going to go CRAZY for all these new crafty goodies, I promise you!

Here on Day 2 we are sharing sneaks of of the stamp and coordinating die set "All Occasion Critters", as well as the Grateful For You background stamp set. My card today features a sweet night scene celebrating a new baby!

To create this card, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, and Tumbled Glass, which I applied using large sized Beautiful Blender Brushes. Once the ombre background was completely dry, I stamped the star in a random pattern using the Tsukineko Embossing ink pad and heat embossed them with Sparkling Snow EP from Wow!. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the moon, bear, and sentiment after I had stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. Most layers are popped up on 3D foam pads, which I used for absolutely EVERYTHING I make!

More inspiration from Day Two below!

Hello everyone! DT Annalisa here and today I am sharing a SNEAK PEAK of some of the newest Time For Tea Designs stamps!! The new release will be LIVE on Friday, July 24th, 2020. For my card, I used two new stamp sets - "Background Scene" and "All Occasion Critters. I just LOVE these two new sets and had so much fun colouring them.

To start I stamped the little piggy and kitty and then masked them off. Next, I stamped the background scene elements on top of the masked critters. I added the sentiments 'hello' and 'let's have coffee' - one from each set - to complete the adorable scene.

I removed the masks and got to work colouring the scene with my copics. Oh, how I loved colouring this happy card!! If you are interested in the colours I used I will list them at the end of this blog.

Once the colouring was complete I die cut out the scene using the second largest rectangle from the Hello Rectangle Stitched Nesting Dies. I also die cut out some black card stock from the same die set. I used double-sided tape to stick the scene to the black card stock. I then added this to a white card base to complete the card.

Rainbows and Unicorns

Slimline Fairy Birthday Wishes

Hi crafty friends! DT Jennifer here with a pastel springtime scene for today's inspiration. 

To create this project, I first cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock to 3.75 x 7.75 for the stenciled cloud layer. I rounded off the corners using my corner rounding punch. Then I laid out the spotlights using my masking stencils from Time for Tea Designs - Small Circle and Heart Grid.

Once I knew where I wanted the spotlights, I inked them in ombre fashion using Distress Oxide inks and Blender Brushes. I masked them off with the negative of the stencil (included with the stencil) and added the ombre cloud effect in purple shades using the Sunny Side Up stencil.

I stamped all fairies and ran them through my Scan N Cut and cut them all out. Then I colored everything that needed it, added Wink of Stella to the wings and white paint pen polkadots to the dresses. I die cut the stitched clouds, then started on the layout.

After everything was attached with foam tape for dimension, I attached the background of the scene to a piece of 3.825 x 7.825 white cardstock with 1/16" foam tape. The large sequins are from Kat Scrappiness and the small ones are from Craftin' Desert Divas. I used my picker upper and a dab of liquid Nuvo adhesive to adhere them to the card.

Spring Scene - Fun With Stencils!

Hi crafty friends! Are you ready for some new inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? DT Jennifer here with some spring-y fun (in more ways than one!).

For my card today, I've mixed and matched a bunch of stamps, dies and stencils to create this fun spring scene!

To create this happy card, I first cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. This will be the base piece for creating this scene. I had envisioned the sunrays in the background of the card, with 2 "spotlights" where we can see the fairy flying down towards the flower and the second, larger spotlight where the bunnies are enjoying the flower.

I stamped all my images, and cut the flower with the coordinating dies. I ran all the rest of the images through my Scan N Cut and cut them all out. Then I colored everything that needed it using Copic markers, added stickles and Wink of Stella and set aside.

Now comes the fun part - building the scene! I first placed the Large Circle Masking Stencil over my ground section, taped off the grass, and added clouds using the Sunny Side Up stencil, my Beautiful Blender Brushes, and Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Inks. I flipped the tape around and laid the base for the grass using Twisted Citron. Then I went over it in layers using the grass cut out side of the stencil and Mowed Lawn ink. I removed all of that masking and laid the Small Circle Masking die over the upper right corner to do a little more cloudy sky background for my fairy element. 

Next I used the negative of the stencils and masked off both of the sections I just made. This is to protect them from getting sunrays over the top of them. First, I taped off a straight line and added more hazy grass using Mowed Lawn ink, and oversprayed it with water from my Mini Mister to create some texture and break up the solid block. I flipped my tape to protect the new grass, and using the sunrays section of the Sunny Side Up stencil, I added lots of sunshine to the background using Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks.

After everything was dry, I attached the background of the scene to the red cardstock base and added the stamped elements to the scene. I've used foam tape in varying thicknesses to make things stand out a bit more.

Hip Hop Hooray with Extra Action!

Hi crafty friends! Are you ready for some new inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? DT Jennifer here with some spring-y fun (in more ways than one!).

For my card today, I'm showing off these adorable bunnies in the brand new Hip Hop Hooray clear stamp set! I just want to squeeze them! I told my husband we should get a pet bunny, but he didn't think that was a great idea...what a party pooper.

There's a lot going on here with today's project - it was so much fun to create! I started by cutting my large Smile Scalloped frame die out of Neenah Solar white cardstock and setting it aside. I also cut a piece of Neenah Solar white cardstock the same size as the outside border of the die so I could use it to create my background. 

I flipped the frame piece over and used it as the outside mask for my background. I knew I was going to add the film strip at an angle, so I masked off a central line to break up the grass and sky using some scrap paper. Using my Beautiful Blender Brushes, I placed Distress Oxide ink (Tumbled Glass) over the entire top background panel. Then I used Stormy Sky with my stencil to add the hearts, fading it out toward the edges. I switched the mask to the other side and repeated with Mowed Lawn ink directly onto the cardstock, layered with the stenciled image using Peeled Paint ink over the top. The blender brushes put the ink on as smooth as silk!!

Once everything was all colored, dolled up, and cut, I started adding it to my card base and polka dot background panel. I'm normally COMPLETELY ALLERGIC to stuff being put on my cards "crooked", but I really think it adds some fun and whimsy to this scene to do it that way. I offset the background panel, the frame, and the bunnies as they hop on and off camera to move your eyes across the entire card.

Honey Bee Mine

Hi crafty friends! Are you ready for a dose of inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? DT Jennifer here with a fun Valentine's Day project that I hope you enjoy.

Today I've pulled out a set that was released late last spring and used it to create this fun Valentine's Day card! This 4" x 6" card features the Bee Happy stamp and coordinating die set, along with the Bee Hive stencil layered over the top of one of our brand new masking stencils (Large Heart). You can find all the Bee products HERE - they are bundled AND reduced in price, snap them up while you can! I love these little cuties.

To create this project, I first set up my cardstock base with the Large Heart masking stencil. I used one of our Beautiful Blender Brushes to apply Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink to the the entire open area. Check out perfect those edges came out! Then, I laid down the Bee Hive stencil over the top and over sprayed it with Nuvo Sparkle Spray in Morning Fog.

For the next phase, I stamped the bee and hive images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. Then I heat embossed the sentiment onto Ruby Red cardstock using Nuvo Fine Details Embossing Powder in Glacier White. I cut the sentiment out using the banner die from the Best Fishes borders and banners die set, and skimmed the edges with a black chalk marker to give a little more definition to it (since I knew I'd be layering it over the top of my stenciled heart). I also cut the bee hive and bee out with their coordinating dies.

I cut the large rectangle frame out of black cardstock using the Smile Sentiment and Scalloped Frame die set and layered it over my stenciled background panel. Once it was set up, I added my images and sentiment panel using various heights of foam squares, and Nuvo silver sequins went on with mini glue dots.

Woodland Friends: "Thanks"

Hi crafty friends! Are you ready for a dose of inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? DT Jennifer here with a fun woodland scene that I hope you enjoy. 

Today's project features stamps and dies for the latest release. These Woodland Critters are just SO CUTE. I've also used the coordinating dies, and paired them with one of the deer images from the Christmas Deer clear set (and coordinating dies). The sentiment tucked up in the upper left corner was done with the Say Anything clear stamp set.

This card is 4x6 inches in size, as I found I needed a little more space to get all the goodies on there!

Pawsome Pets: Birthday Slimline

Hi crafty friends! Are you ready for a dose of inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? DT Jennifer here with some Pawsome Christmas pets - reimagined as Pawsome Birthday pets! 

I then stamped the kitty images and colored them with Copic markersI used the Pawsome Pets coordinating dies to cut them out and placed presents in some of their paws.

The background is done in Distress Oxide Inks using our Blender Brushes. After I had the basic shape down in ink, I overlaid the Pawsome Pattern stencil and added some "wallpaper" to the background outside of the spotlight.
