XOXO

Hi Guys DT member Natalie here and I have another card to share with you all using that adorable Bearing Gifts stamp set. If you read my post last I mentioned that I had done a massive stamping, colouring and Die-Cutting session with these cuties. Once finished I laid them all out on my desk and just played around with layouts. I had placed these two bears together and thought they looked like they were having a leisurely stroll in the park and that's where I came up with my idea.
To make my scene for my bears I used the Circle of Love Nesting Dies to cut my circle and used the
6x6 Scene It stencil to create the background.
To get the sentiment to curve around the edge of the frame I added it to my stamping block then manipulated it so it was curved and held it over the circle to see whether I needed to move one side higher or lower until I had the shape I wanted and then stamped it on my card. Then I finished off by adding the bears and my topper was finished.
For the base of the card I cut the new XOXO cover plate die out of  white cardstock and  made sure to keep some of the holes from inside the O. I cut another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock the same size as the coverplate we cut and blended squeezed lemonade and spiced marmalade distress oxides on it then spritzed with water. This was then layered under the XOXO die cut piece and I popped the topper I made on the top and added it to my card base.
I hope you liked my card for today!

Bearing With Me - New Card Making Tutorial & Craft With Jo Video

Hi all!!

Jo here with this weeks Live Card Making Tutorial.

Be sure to watch the video below to get all the details of how we made this weeks card.

I absolutely love how this card turned out.

I used the Say Cheese Cover Plate Die & cut it from coloured cardstock to give it a completely different look! Now it looks like fun bubbles or something! :) The circles are a great size for your critters to peek out of.

I love the Bearing Gifts Stamps as there are so many fun accessories to choose from that the bears can be holding.

I love this moustached bear poking out of one of the circle apertures!! So cute!!

I ink blended the background using our Beautiful Blender Brushes to get this lovely pastel 'airbrushed' effect. Loved this colour combo!!

I added dimension by using foam pads on the back of my Say Cheese Die cut panel. I also popped up my check box on a small foam pad so it stands out.

I really hope you like todays card and enjoyed the video.

Colourful Dreams

Hello everyone! DT Annalisa here and this evening I am sharing a bright and happy celebration card (perfect for a graduation card!) featuring the Unicorn In Training stamp set and Dream Big Sentiment Dies. I just LOVE the size and the font of this sentiment that designer Jo created!

I used my Beautiful Blender Brushes to colour a card base with Distress Oxides in the colours Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Mermaid Lagoon. Next, I added some water droplets and white splatters.

I die cut the Dream Big background die twice using white card stock. I then die cut out the sentiment from some Colorbok Metal Prismatic Foil Paper - I love the tiny stars that glimmer. I also used this foil to cut out some stars to add to the card.

I stamped, coloured and die cut the unicorns and other elements using my Unicorn In Training stamp and die set. These are so fun to colour!
I adhered all the elements and sentiments to the background with liquid glue and added some white lines for interest with my Gelly Roll Pen as well as some Wink of Stella for some extra shine.

I hope you enjoyed my card if you are are interested in purchasing any Time for Tea Designs products be sure to Use code T4TANNALISA10 when you visit the shop to get a 10% discount off your entire order.

Sending Bear Hugs!

So the new release is here and isn't it just the cutest, the bears have definitely stolen my heart. I have made a really simple CAS card for the blog this week. It's great for if you want to knock out some quick cards to send to love ones and friends that you maybe missing at this time.
The white base of the card I cut out using the Hello Rectangle Stitched Nesting Dies and the hearts are cut from the heart die in the Box Die set. I just roughly guessed the spacing but you could measure the middle length and height to work out your centre points and work out your spacing that way.
Once I had cut these out I needed to make the pink and orange background again I just roughly guessed the size by laying the die cut piece over the top of my Bristol Smooth cardstock and marking out so its that little bit wider.Once marked I then cut it on my guillotine to make sure the edges were straight. I used Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade for the blending and spritzed with some clean water. The sentiment I white heat embossed onto black card and cut with my trimmer again to make sure it was straight.
The bears were really simply coloured I had batched stamped and coloured quite a lot of them when I got my stamps. I just used lots of brown and grey combos when colouring them up varying them slightly for each bear. I found it easier doing it this way as I got to play around with layouts and which bears I wanted to go together. This is also how I came up with a couple of my designs just laying them out on the desk. I then could die cut all my bears at once and there are still plenty left for my next card.
The card isn't a regular size so I had to create my own card base but first I needed to stick it together. I stuck the die cut panel to blended sheet using foam squares to give some depth then stuck down my sentiment and bears using foam tap where it was over the cut out hearts. Once this was done I could make my base like I did before I laid the card over the top of my white card I use 300 gsm so its nice and sturdy. Then I marked the white card so it was about 0.5 cm's wider then cut it using my guillotine I then cut another one exactly the same size. I popped my card front onto one of the pieces and the other I scored across the top about 1 cm down and folded it added some red tape above the score line and attached it to the back of my card. I use this technique a lot as none of my cards are ever standard size for card bases. I hope you liked my card for today I have loved seeing you all receiving your new goodies in the group I cant wait to see what you guys come up with

Creating a Cute Scene on a Circle Shaped Card

Hello there crafty friends!! Jo here with another card tutorial.
This week I'm featuring the brand new Crafty Cats and making a super cute scene on a shaped Card Base.

Be sure to watch our video below to see how we made this adorable card.

I don't normally make shaped cards - I'm boring haha! But our new Circle of Love Dies are perfect - or should I say 'purrfect' :) for a Circle card base, so that's what I did!

Watch the video to see how I made the 3D frame. Its so simple and look great.

I used characters from the Crafty Cats Stamp & Die Set to create our wonderful crafty scene. I just love this set so much!

The background has been created using the new Brisk Wall Stencil which is also a favourite of mine already! This will be used so much!

I love how this Circle shaped card turned out. It looks so cool sat on my shelf. So different from the usual rectangle or square cards we typically do. You have to try it!

I really hope you enjoyed the card today. Do check out the video & all the products from the new release that I used today are listed below.

Busy Procraftinating

Happy Friday and welcome. DT Annalisa here and today I am sharing a cute card featuring the new Crafty Cats stamp set. I just love this adorable stamp set as it combines my love of crafting and cats! Just Purr-fect!

I stamped, masked and coloured the kitty and crafting elements to create the scene and then coloured them in with my copics. I also coloured in the floor and wall to complete the craft room scene.

I cut out the white square border using the Quilted Square Nesting Die and used liquid glue to adhere the border to the scene. For the background, I used another quilted square nesting die to cut out some teal patterned paper from the Rainbow Brights Essentials 6x6 paper pad. I then adhered the scene to the background patterned paper and added the 'busy procraftinating' sentiment to complete the card. I hope you like it.

Bearing Gifts

Hello everyone, DT Annalisa here and today I am sharing a SNEAK PEEK! My card features the brand spanking new Bearing Gifts stamp set. This set is so cute and I absolutely loved colouring the cute bears and their accessories! This adorable set, along with some other great products will be available for purchase on May 18th.

To start I stamped (and masked where necessary) my bears, accessories and sentiments and coloured them with my copics. The rainbow cake was my favourite to colour. Next, I coloured in the background with a pale purple (V0000).

To finish the card I framed the scene using some white card stock that I cut from the Smile Sentiment and Scalloped Frame Die Set. I use this scalloped frame SO much in my cards, it is definitely a must-have.

Box Card & Penny Slider Tutorial Video

Hi! Jo here with details of a really fun card tutorial on our YouTube Channel.

Be sure to check out the video below to see exactly how I made this shadow box card with the additional interactive element of a penner slider!

This Box Card is so easy to make. The Box Clever Die has all the elements you need to make this fabulous scene for your critters to sit in.

Once you've cut out the Box panels all you need to do is decorate them with Distress Inks and a stencil. Here I used the Diamonds Are Forever Stencil to create the effect of a cage.

Stamp, colour and die cut your images then place in your box scene.

I decided to add the extra slider element for fun! The slider die comes in the Hooray Hamster Coordinating Die Set. Its so easy to create. Watch the video to see just how easy it is to make your cute little hamster spin! :)

This is such fun project and a fabulous card that anyone would love to receive!

I hope you enjoyed the video and card today.
