Happy Wednesday!

It's DT Shabneez with my final blog post for the Time for Tea Designs DT.  I've had an amazing term on the Team and have made some wonderful friends on the journey.  I've loved sharing my creations and I'll continue doing so.  Please feel free to follow my blog HERE or on social media.

My final card is one I have made for my eldest son who will turn 13 in a couple of days time.  I've used my favourite die of all time - the Dream Big Sentiment Die together with the Mountain Scene Builder Dies and the Landscape Edge Standalone Dies.

I used the Beavering Away Stamp Set with the co-ordinating die set and coloured all the images in with my Chameleon pens.

After creating the scene I added a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from the Speech Bubbles Clear Stamp set and used the co-ordinating die to cut it out.

All The Bees Birthday Card

It's DT Shabneez with a card inspired by the bees I've been seeing more of in the garden lately.  I do love bees and of course the honey which they make.

I began by using the Bee Happy Stamp Set and stamped and coloured in the images using my Chameleon pens then die cut them out.  I stamped the sentiments using the Speech Bubbles Stamp Set and die cut them out too.

For my background I die cut the Slimline Scalloped Trio Circle Nesting Circles Die on white card then went over it with distress oxide inks through the Honeycomb Stencil.  I placed this on a DL card blank and added blue distress oxide and a little tone on tone stamping through the circles.  To finish I stuck on the bees and speech bubbles.

I Can Bearly Wait To See You!

I can't wait until I can finally meet up with friends and family and I think this card carries the positive sentiments necessary to show that.

I've used a mixture of dies and stamps to create this.  I stuck a printed paper on my card base for the background then cut my grass border using the Landscape Edger Die Set.  The 'Hello' was cut from black and white card using the Large Script Hello Sentiment Die and the rainbow and clouds using the Storms Don't Last Forever Co-Ordinating Dies.

I coloured my bear from the Bear's Picnic Stamp Set using my Chameleon pens.  The sentiment from the same set was heat embossed in white on to black card.

Floral Window Box Mother's Day Card

It's DT Shabneez and as it's almost Mother's Day I thought I'd share the window box card I created using some stencils and the Spring Blooms dies.

I began with the background which I ink blended through the Brick Wall Stencil using my distress oxide inks and Beautiful Blender Brush.

Next I used the Square Grid Masking Stencil to create a window frame.  I cut a rectangle for the window box and used distress inks to colour it before activating the ink with water to give it that wooden effect.

I die cut the flowers and leaves from the Spring Bloom die set and 'planted' them in my window box!  To finish I stamped out 'Happy Mother's Day' from the Mum & Dad Clear Stamp Set and stuck it to my window box.

Thanks Mum Watercolour Bouquet

It's DT Shabneez here with a bouquet perfect to thank Mum for everything.  It's funny as after having children of my own I appreciate everything my Mum has done for me so much more.

The flowers and leaves from the Spring Blooms Die Set were all die cut from watercolour card and I used my watercolour palette with a water pen to paint them all.  I arranged them in a bouquet made with tissue paper and tied with some twine.

The MUM sentiment was die cut out with watercolour card and I painted it with an ombre effect using my watercolour palette.  The other sentiments from the Mum & Dad Clear Stamp Set were stamped, die cut and stuck on the card.

Double Stencil Baby Card

It's DT Shabneez here sharing a creation to welcome a new born.  The Occasional Critters Stamp Set is one of my absolute favourites and I have teamed it with a couple of stencils.

I began by using the Beautiful Blender Brushes and a couple of distress oxide inks through the Starry Heart Stencil.  I then masked the star with a sheet of paper cut to the rough size of the stencil and then used the Scene It Stencil to create the clouds.

The baby critter was stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens then die cut.  I added some stamped stars from the same set on to his cute blanket and some glitter glue to the cloud to finish.

My card base was made using the Circle of Love Die Set and I added another frame cut from blue card using the same die set.

I Love Mew - A Masculine Themed Card

It's DT Shabneez and I'm sharing a card that's a little more masculine as my husband doesn't appreciate cards with lots of pink, although he's more than happy to wear a pink shirt......!

Instead of inks I decided to use papers for the background as I thought they went really well with the night time scene I created.  I die cut a couple of circles from the Circle of Love Nesting Dies to create a frame.  I added a small die cut circle for the moon and the Landscape Edge Standalone Dies for the grass.  I die cut a speech bubble from the Speech Bubbles Co-ordinating Die Set and stamped 'I love mew' with the Smitten Kitten Stamp Set.

I coloured the cats image using my Chameleon pen from the same stamp set and cut them out before sticking them amongst the die cut grass.  To finish I stamped out 'Happy Anniversary'.

Bunny Love

It's DT Shabneez here sharing a card made with a mixture of products which I think would be ideal for Valentine's Day. 

I began by colouring in the bunnies from the Cosy Winter Stamp Set with my Chameleon pens.  I then die cut a heart from the Scalloped Slimline Die Set and stamped the sentiment from the Bearing Gifts Stamp Set.  The 'you' and 'love you' were stamped from the Be Kind Be You Stamp Set.

I used distress oxide inks to blend an ombre background with my distress oxide inks and covered it with my Scattered Hearts Cover Plate Die die cut from white card.  I arranged the elements on the card and added a strip of pink card and one of the hearts from the die remnants to finish.

Wintery Paper Hugs

It's DT Shabneez sharing a card made using the Happy Mail Critters Stamp & Die Set.  It's such a cute set and is perfect for when you need to tell someone you are thinking of them, especially with the current lock down.

I used a sheet of the Winter Wonderland Paper Pad as the background as it went so well with the images on the stamp set and framed it with the Zig Zag Frame & Tag Die Set.

All my images were coloured with my Chameleon pens and I made a scene where the cat had to stand on a box to reach the letter box and help the bird post the letter.  I added hearts and a sentiment to finish.

Hearts & Hugs

It's DT Shabneez here and it has been freezing lately - we even had a day of snow on Sunday but it's since melted!  

Today I'm sharing a card made with elements from the new release Happy Mail Critters Stamp Set combining it with the Mini Frame & Banner Die Set.  I love the 'hello' and 'smile' sentiments in the stamp set and heat embossed them in white to make them stand out.

All my images were stamped and coloured with my Chameleon pens and I arranged the card on a circular base using the Circle of Love Nesting Dies on which I put a white border as all the hearts had borders so carried on with the theme.

I think it's a cute card that is suitable for anyone you've not seen in a while and that's a lot of people for me!

New Release Reveal Day 2 - Workout Pigs

It's DT Shabneez here wanting to know if you managed to catch Jo on Day 1 of the New Release yesterday?  If not you can catch up on the Time For Tea Designs FB page.

I don't know about you but it's so difficult to chose a favourite so far and today's new release are the wonderful Workout Pigs!

These are such a fun bunch of pigs and I especially love the sentiments that go with them.  They are sure to put a smile on your face!

I decided to make a slimline card so I could show a number of the piggies on one card.  I used the A6 Rectangle Layering Die Set to cut out 4 rectangles from the Winter Wonderland Paper Pad.  My images were all stamped and then coloured using my Chameleon pens.

I cut a couple of scalloped circle frames from the Mini Frame & Banner Die Set and added them to a couple of the rectangles before adhering my piggies.

Happy Winter Birthday

It's DT Shabneez sharing a Winter Birthday card made with the Winter Wishes Wreath Set.  This stamp set has a number of very useful sentiments suitable for use throughout the winter.

I think it's a great idea to send season specific birthday cards as they are unique.  For my card I stamped out the image and coloured it in using my Chameleon pens.  Next,  I die cut around the wreath using the Circle of Love Nesting Die and matted it on to a gold circle base with a striped strip of card running through the middle.  This was placed on a stitched square burgundy card base cut using the Quilted Squares Nesting Dies.

To finish the card I added some gold glitter drops to the small circles within the wreath.  They add a subtle shimmer which ties in with the gold matt.

Sending Winter Hugs

Happy New Year to you all!

It's DT Shabneez with my first post of 2021 and what a start it's been with yet another lockdown!  To make you feel better I have a card that is sending you winter hugs because I feel we all need them!

I have used the Winter Wishes Wreath Stamp in a different way by breaking the wreath up on my card and I think it looks quite effective don't you?

The wreath was stamped twice onto my card base which I die cut using the Slimline Scalloped Trio Circle Nesting Dies.  I stamped the sentiments around the wreath and coloured in the images using my Chameleon pens.

A Winter Birthday Card for Daddy

It's DT Shabneez sharing a card I have made for my sons to give to their Daddy on his upcoming birthday!  I've used a mix of products as all the Time for Tea Designs products co-ordinate so well together.

I had bought the It's Your Day Sentiment Die Set some time ago and just never got around to using it until now!  It's definitely a set I can see myself using a lot more as it really is very versatile and I even used it to die cut the word 'DADDY' too!  

My image from the Cosy Winter Stamp Set was stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens and i added some glitter to the snow.  I then die cut the scalloped circle from the Spooktacular Die Set and stuck it over the top of the image and it fits perfectly!  I stuck the It's Your Day banner over the top.

To finish I stamped and die cut the 'Happy Birthday' using the Speech Bubbles Stamp & Die Set which is an absolute staple in my craft stash.

I better get the boys to write in the card and get the presents wrapped!

Have A Treemendous Christmas!

It's DT Shabneez and as there are just a couple of sleeps left before Christmas I thought I'd share a Christmas scene.

In my head I had an outdoor Christmas tree with the bunny stuck in it trying to sort the lights out.  Above him was his friend holding a banner out of the window.  

I began with the background for which I cut a scalloped base with the Scalloped Slimline Die.  I placed the Brickwall Stencil over it to create a background with blended Distress Oxide inks.  I then cut out the window frame with grey card and placed some blue card in the background.

Using the Christmas Surprise Clear Stamp Set I stamped and die cut the images with the co-ordinating dies, colouring in the critters with my Chameleon pens.  I die the tree again with green card and paper pieced it.  I used Nuvo drops on the baubles to add texture and shine.

I stuck the tree at the bottom of my card and then another critter peeking out the window holding the Christmas banner up!

Luxurious Warm Winter Wishes

It's Shabneez here sharing news of the final new release of the year which is in store today!  Among the wonderful new products is the Warm Winter Wishes Stamp & Die Set which I have decided to showcase today.

It's a beautiful stamp set that can be used all year round using different sentiments and images for the centre.  I chose to heat emboss the wreath on black card with gold embossing powder.  I think you'll agree it gives a warm and luxurious feel to the card.

Once I heat embossed the image, I set about colouring it with my Chameleon pencils.  To finish I stuck the image on a piece of square gold backing card.

New Year Reindeer

It's DT Shabneez here and I don't know about you but the days seem to go faster this time of year as there seems to be so much more to do!  Today I thought I'd share a celebratory fancy fold card for the New Year using the very cute reindeer from the Happy New Year Critters Stamp & Die Set.  

I used a number of papers from the Winter Wonderland Paper Pad as they all co-ordinated so well to make the background for my card.

My images were stamped and coloured with my Chameleon pens and I added bakers twine to the balloon and tied it to the reindeer's antler for a bit of fun!  

The Let It Snow Die Set takes centre stage and was die cut in glitter card and stuck on a background cut with the very useful Rectangle Layering Dies (EU size).

Merry Christmouse Snow Globe Card

It's DT Shabneez here sharing a wintry creation.  Did you manage to catch Jo on Create & Craft yesterday?  There are still some bargains on there if you missed it.  If you were watching you may have seen my card on display.  It's made using the Carolling Critters Stamp set.

The images were stamped and coloured wtth my Chameleon pens and then I made a background using distress oxides with my blender brush.  I added water to give the illusion of snow.  For the bottom of the image I cut out some snow banks using the Landscape Edge Dies.

I wanted to put the entire scene into a snow globe so I die cut a circle frame using the Circle of Love Nesting dies in black card.  I cut a sentiment from the very useful Sentiment cards and I stuck at the bottom.

Catmas Cracker Tutorial

It's DT Shabneez here with a tutorial to make a very quick Christmas cracker using the Mini Gift Box Die Set.  I think you'll agree it looks so pretty and you can decorate it in so many ways.

To begin, die cut the template 4 times from card of your choice and cut off the bottom tabs from two sets of templates as shown.  Make sure you burnish all the score lines so it makes it easier to fold.

Adhere the templates together using the large tabs.  I used strong PVA glue but you can use red liner tape if you prefer.

Stick both parts together using the smaller tabs on the sides.

Finally add glue to the remaining tabs to form the cracker.

Here you have your cracker ready to decorate!

I have used a sheet of paper from the Winter Wonderland Paper Pad to cover the centre panels so that the join isn't shown.  I then stamped and die cut images using the Catmas Crackers Stamp & Die Set and coloured in with my Chameleon pens.  I stuck them on the top.  All that remains is to fill your cracker then add ribbon to close.

The other positive point of the Catmas Crackers Stamp set is that it even has a joke insert for your cracker!  What will you fill yours with?  Tag me on social media so I can see your creations!

A Cracker of A Card

It's DT Shabneez sharing a cracker of a card! Ha!!!  It's using elements from the new release: the Catmas Crackers Stamp & Die Set, the Zig Zag Frame & Tag Set together with the Winter Wonderland Paper Pad.

I had a lot of fun making this card into a shaker so it looks like the cracker has exploded with sequins.  I used a sheet from the new paper pad as a background and cut out the zig zag frame from glitter card for that added sparkle.  After all, you can't have too much sparkle on a Christmas card can you?

My images were coloured in with my Chameleon pens and then die cut with the co-ordinating dies and stuck on top of the acetate.
