Let's Party!

 Hi Friends!

I’m Patricia and today I share you a new card with Happy Hump Day Stamp set and coordinated dies and the Let’s Party Sentiment Die.

I’ve used directly a mini lawn fawn ink in yellow color (sunflower tone) by rubbing the pad on the card stock directly to make the background. I like the effect and with mini pad is more easy to go through it a few times.

For the principal sentiment I’ve used the Let’s Party Sentiment Die and one second sentiment from the stamp set. I’ve die cut several layers to create a false chipboard. For the first layer, I’ve used the Joyful Winter 6x6 paper pad, the rest is white card stock .

All stamps are coloring with Copic Markers.

Jumping with JOY

Hi friends!

I’m Patricia and this is my first post to T4TD blog. I’m so happy be here!!

For my first card I’ve used the Jumping with Joy Stamp Set and coordinated dies

Also, I’ve used the Simple Stitched Circle Dies for background of my card and created a Round card base played with different size circles.

For the background I’ve used Distress oxide ink in blue & green colors and  ink splashes with similar colors. I ink blended using Beautiful Blender Brush

I coloured the stamps with Copic markers and finally I've decorated with Enamel dots.

You mean a Latte to me!

So the new Time for Tea release is finally here and what a cute one it is. Like everyone else I think I was instantly in love with the cute Gingerbread Family Stamp Set, so keep looking back for more inspiration for them. I have so many ideas I want to create with them!
For today's card though I wanted to create a cosy Christmas coffee scene combining them with the Pumpkin Spice Stamp Set. We all know how much coffee is a well loved theme for us Crafter's so this is another super fun set.
Using red and green as my theme I began colouring up my images, adding a pop of yellow with the pumpkins. As usual I used my trusted copic markers to colour up my images and added some extra details with my white gelly roll pen.
The base of my card I used the Wide Stitched Frame Dies which I'm absolutely loving at the minute. I used a rich red for the frame and a nice Christmas green for the inside which helps adds some contrast to the card. I mounted these onto my card base and used some foam tape to give the red frame some height so I could layer the images at different heights too to add some extra interest. After everything was adhered I realised I didn't quite place the images right on the left hand side so added in some steam from my mug to add a little interest. Then added some dots of red, gold and white using gelly roll for some background detail and white heat embossed my sentiment which came from the Perfect Blend Stamp set and that was my card finished up.
I hope you like it and be sure to check back for more inspiration. You can find all the products in the Time for Tea Shop and get 10% off your orders using code T4TNATALIE10. Have a great weekend and I'll see you all next week!

Jumping for Joy!

Happy Saturday Teatimer's well Autumn is definitely here so it only felt right to pull out these cuties from the Jumping for Joy stamp set again.
I went for a fun shaker card with them so I could use sequins behind to give the look of leaves dancing in the wind. I used the A2 Stitched Hearts Cover Dies to create the frame and layered acetate underneath. I then cut out a panel to fit behind which I inked up with Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold and added some thick foam tape behind. Filling this with gold and orange sequins I added the frame on top.
Then for the rest of the card I coloured up the critters from the Jumping with Joy stamp set using copic markers and die cut them out. As usual adding cute little dots to their cheeks and black shiny noses using a black and white gelly roll pen.
I adhered them using foam tape then it was just time to add the sentiment which I stamped out the jumping and heat embossed it in white on black. I didn't want the joy part though so when I die cut the sentiment I chopped that part off.  Then all that was left was the big Joy which I used the Joy Stitched Sentiment Die and cut out of dark green to carry on with the Autumn colours.
That's my shaker card finished up, it was really quick and easy to make. You can find all the products in the Time for Tea shop and get 10% off your orders using code T4TNATALIE10.
Have a great weekend and keep checking back for more inspiration from the team.

Get Whale Soon!

Happy Saturday Teatimer's I'm back with another cute cards using the new Get Whale Soon Stamp Set from Time for Tea Designs.
I love a good pun so had to cut up the Get Well Soon Large Sentiment Die to create this fun punny get well soon card. I used the Smile Inverted Scallop Frame Die for my base layer and used the dotted wave embossing die from the Ocean Waves Die Set to create embossed waves.
I ink blended over this with blue and pink oxides so the pink tied in with the sentiment and added some spritzes of water and splatters of the same colours.
The whales and their fun accessories are coloured up with copic markers I just love the Get whale Soon pun they create adding them to the middle of the sentiment. To finish everything up I added some stars and bubbles using a white gelly roll pen.
I love how this one turned between the rich colours and the pop of pink to that punny sentiment it's just a super fun card. You can find all the supplies in the Time for Tea Shop and get 10% off any orders using code T4TNATALIE10
Have a great weekend and don't forget to come back soon for more inspiration and cute cards!

The sky's the limit

Hello, crafty friends!

Today's CAS card features the paper plane pals stamp and coordinating dies set which is so much fun! I love that it is packed with little stamps to complete your card.

For my background, I used the Starry Heart 6x6" stencil on white cardstock with tumbled glass, salty ocean and chipped sapphire distress oxides.

I don't use craft card anywhere near enough - it's so pretty and it provides a nice change to the white (which is what I usually reach out for the most!). Does this happen to you too? I feel like I have a favourite set of colour combinations and sometimes it's not easy to use different ones! So it's great to try and leave that comfort zone sometimes.

I hope you like this CAS card and it inspires you to try something different!

See you next week,

Valentine's card and sale!

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day!

Have you seen the awesome sale at Time for Tea Designs shop

For my card, I chose a selection of item which you will find in the Valentine's sale today, so make sure to check them out! The adorable skunks are from the the Stinkin' Cute stamp set which I coloured with my Ohuhu alcohol markers. For the background, I chose to use abandoned coral distress oxide and the Scattered Hearts 6x6" stencil.

Of course I had to make the card into a shaker, didn't I? So I used the Oval Scalloped Nesting Dies for this. I built 5 layers of the frame to ensure my shaker elements could move freely. I then used the 'you' die cut from the Happy Mail Gift Card Holder Add On die set - I love it when word dies come with shadows!

I will post later on my Instagram account later, so keep an eye out for that if you want to see the process!

Sending hugs,

Natalia

Spring bunnies & ink dragging technique

Hello, tea timers!

It is Natalia with you today.

Today's card features the Blooming Bunnies Clear stamp set and coordinating dies. Don't they remind you of spring? I can't wait for some warmer weather and some sunshine!

I used the polaroid die from the Memory keeping essentials set. I love how cute the bunnies look in their little photo, don't you? The sentiment is from the Creating Memories stamp set, which has lots of different words on it so it's great for both cardmaking and paper crafting. I used kitsch flamingo distress oxide to stamp it.

To make the background, I used the same distress oxide ink pad and dragged it in half a moon motions onto my A2 panel. So quick and pretty! I used some vellum behind the polaroid opening to mute the background so that the bunnies wouldn't get lost in the background. That is a great top for when you have busy backgrounds and you want your images to stand out!

Finally, I used some Designer enamel dots to finish off the card. I love the colours that come in both, the Sweet Summer and the Summer Haze packs!

I hope you like the card, see you next week for a fun V-Day hop!

Coffee & friends!

 Hello, Tea Timers!

How are you enjoying the new release? What is your favourite?

I love it all, but these little guys with their coffee and pastries must be one of my favourites! They are from the Cafe Critters stamp set and coordinating dies.

To make my background, I die cut the Skies the Limit slimeline die from white carstock and used it as a stencil. I ensured that the colours I chose stayed in the sections I wanted by using the negative piece from the die to mask the gaps. You can see the process in my reel here.

Don't they look like they are having the best time? I kind of fancy a croissant now, I must admit!

Ink dragging technique & crafty hugs!

Hello, Tea Timers!

Today's card uses a cool technique I hadn't used before: ink dragging.

I'd seen it multiple times but never gave it a go myself. It is SO easy! Just take your ink pads (I used the mini ink cubes from Concord & 9th) and drag them down your cardstock. It's super quick & fun!

I thought the ink dragging look would suit this cute Crafty cats stamp set, given that they are colouring! I did film a reel and I will share it with you later on this week. I hope you find it inspiring and encourages you to try it!

Using your patterned papers

Hello, Tea Timers!

It is Natalia with you today. How are the preparations for Christmas coming along?

Today's card features these little cuties from the Cosy Winter stamp set. I used the Oval Scalloped Nesting die to create the focal point for my card.

I created a pink sky - there is something about pink skies, don't you think? - with kitsch flamingo distress oxide and perfect pearls water to create shimmery splatters. I stamped the sentiment with my WOW! embossing pad and used white embossing powder.

I then cut the Slimline Mini Village die from white cardstock to create my background scene.

The patterned paper is from the Joyful Winter 6x6' paper, which I think is SOOO pretty! and very versatile as there's designs in it that you can use all year around.

I added some stickles to my die cut hearts, because you can never have too much sparkle! I am sure you agree.

I wish you a lovely Christmas, and I will see you next Monday with a new card!

Whether you are getting a Christmas present for a loved one, or yourself, remember to use the code T4TNEILA10 for a 10% off your shop!

Cosy winter & alcohol inks

Hello, Tea Timers!

Natalia here with you today. I have a quick card to share with you today.

To start with, I made my background panel with alcohol inks. I used Fiesta, Gumball, Boysenberry and Sterling Alloy. I also added some splatters with white gouache.

Once that was dry and ready, I used the Snow Flurry Cover die to give it some texture. I really like this die - it is so beautiful!

The next step was to die cut the Slimline Mini Village die twice, once from black cardstock and once from white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment 'cosy winter' from the A5 Cosy Winter Stamp set twice with Onyx Black Versafine ink onto the front panel.

I glued the black die cut houses behind my white panel to give it some shadow and extra depth - I learned this technique from my lovely friend Raquel who is a master with die cuts!

I used double sided foam tape to stick the houses onto my alcohol ink background panel, and that's it! That completes this card.

Do you use alcohol inks often? I certainly want to use mine more!

Stinkin' hugs!

Hello, Tea Timers!
It is Natalia with you here today. How are you liking the new Time for Tea release? I know I am biased but I can't get enough of the cute critters! These skunks from the Stinkin' Cute set are so sweet!

I really enjoyed colouring them with my Ohuhu alcohol ink markers, and then adding some highlights with a white gel pen.

For my background, I did some dry embossing with the new Houndstooth stencil. As you know, I love a lot of white space on a card, so doing some dry embossing is a great way of adding some dimension of interest while still preserving that white space.

I die cut the hill from craft cardstock with the die from the Slimline Hillside Scene set. This is my go to set for scenes, no doubt! I don't often use craft card but this time I thought it was nice with the autumn colours. I did do a bit of ink blending on the top of the hill with Hero Arts unicorn white ink. It is subtle, but it makes a difference, I think!

For the sentiment, I used the Hugs Stitched Sentiment die. I die cut it three times from white cardstock and then once more from shinny white cardstock which I made with Halo WOW! embossing powder.

And finally, I used a newly acquired frame die from the Zig Zag Frame & tag dies set. I will certainly use this often because I absolutely love how it finishes off a card!

I will post a reel on my IG account this week, so look out for it if you want to see the process! I also really changed my mind after the reel so the card there looks a tad different.

Jumping with Joy!

Hello, Tea Timers!

It is DT Natalia here today. We have a new release over at the Time for Tea shop! Have you seen all the cuteness yet?

For this card, I created my background with some purples, blues and pearl white Mozart watercolours. I don't use watercolours often, but this background was so quick to make! I then used a stencil with Gina K glitter paste which looks like snow.

I die cut the winter trees 4 times each from white carsdstock and adhered them to my panel using double sided tape. I would have used liquid glue, but I find tape is better when you are trying to stick something to glitter! For the hills, I used the Slimeline Hillside Scene dies and I assembled it all together using double sided foam tape.

My critters and sentiment are from the new Jumping with Joy set, it is such a beautiful set, and the critters are adorable! I coloured them with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and pencils and then added some highlights with a white gel pen.

There is more! Head over to the shop to get a 30% from a selection of crafty goodies! Use the code BFCM2021 at checkout. Hurry, it ends tonight!

Cosy winter & embossing powders with stencils!

Hello, Tea Timers!

Did you see the WOW! embossing and T4TD collaboration blog hop? So much inspiration and sparkle! Make sure to check it out for a chance to win a giveaway voucher!

For my card, I used an the Line Em Up stencil with three gorgeous WOW! embossing powder colours: Blue Glitz, Cummerbund and Halo (soooo shinny!!).
I made a reel showing how I made it which you can see here.

I then used the A5 Cosy Winter Stamp set and coordinating dies, which is an awesome set with lots of lovely critters and accessories. I coloured them with my Ohuhu alcohol markers and added some highlights with a white gel pen. Of course I had to add some glitter to their scarves too! It is a Christmas card after all :)

Doughnut, coffee & vellum tags!

Hello, Tea Timers!

It is DT Natalia with you today. You probably have learned by now that I love making tags! I really like that they are a small project so they feel quicker to make. So I was very happy when I saw the tag die in the new Memory Keeping Essentials die set

For the stamps, I decided to use these cuties from the All Occasion set, which I love. Aren't they super adorable?

Instead of making my own background, I chose a couple of papers from the Sweet Summer Journaling cards. I thought the theme was perfect! And the colours are so, so pretty.

I used vellum in two different ways, so that the little guys wouldn't get lost in the background: for the doggy I die cut a circle from vellum and for the piggy I did a whole tag overlay. The way vellum softens the background is so pretty.

I used a few sequins and a heat embossed sentiment to finish off the tags. These were a quick an easy project, and I hope it inspires you to create!

A fun way to use your washi tapes!

 Happy Monday, Tea Timers!

It is Natalia with you here today.

Just like with patterned paper, I find washi tape hard to use in my projects, but I always challenge myself to try - and I always love the final results!

For this 4x4" card, I used a selection from the new Designer Washi Tape collection: Yellow Abstract Triangles, Green Rainbows, Ombre Sunset and Blue Hearts together with the smallest of the dies from the new Memory Keeping Essential Dies.

I started off with a small piece of white cardstock, where I stuck down the washi tapes in different orders. From that piece of cardstock, I then die cut as many little hearts as they fit, and repeated the process until I had 9 hearts. I made sure to move the die cut around so that each heart had a different pattern on it.

I then die cut 9 hearts from fun foam so stick behind each heart for dimension.

The sentiment I used is from the Be Kind Be You sentiment set, which I love. I used the coordinating die as well. And finally I added some white and transparent gems and sequins to my little card.

What do you think? Will you give your washi tapes a go? I hope you do!

City break & ink smooshing

Hello, Tea Timers!

Have you hopped with us for a chance to win a £30 voucher for the Time for Tea Designs shop yet? If not, check out this post and our Instagram hop!

If you are into memory keeping, this release will be a dream for you! But if you are NOT into memory keeping, this might just get your curious about it, like it did me. I have never done memory keeping before, but I then saw some examples and I was fascinated! I am very keen on giving it a go, and I have some ideas in mind already!

In the meantime, I have made some cardmaking projects with some of the items from this new release and I will share with you throughout the next month or so.

Today's card features the City Break stamp set. Before Covid came about, my other half and I did not gift each other material things, but travel experiences instead, so that we would create memories together. Now that we can travel again, I love the idea of using this card for a 'city break' present for him!

For the background, I did some ink smooshing with some wilted violet, chipped shappire and broken china distress oxides. I love this technique, you can make stunning backgrounds so quickly!

I used yellow cardstock and stamped the solid city skyline with Versafine black onyx ink - this ink is super juicy and covers the stamp very well! I am excited to try the same stamp with multiple colour inks too. I fussy cut the skyline out and went around the edges with a black marker to cover the yellow that was showing through.

To finish it off, I used the new enamel dots, which I adore! The colours are sooo pretty and I love that they come in 3 different sizes.

Use the code T4TNEILA10 for a 10% discount off your purchase at the Time for Tea Designs shop, including the items from the new release!

BIG HUGS and alcohol inks

 Hello, Tea Timers!

It is Natalia here. I hope your weekend was as awesome as mine! I went to the Stamperama craft show up in Harrogate and had the best time! It was so great to meet Jo and Ant as well as Natalie and Jayne from the design team - we even did some crafting together!

Now, let's talk about today's card! I took my alcohol inks out, which doesn't happen often, and made a few backgrounds with them. This rainbow coloured one was my favourite of all! and thought it would go so nicely with the 'big hugs' sentiment die.

The colours I used were:

  • Rosewood
  • Dandelion
  • Clover
  • Glacier
  • Boysenberry
  • Sterling alloy for some shine

I certainly require more practice with these inks, and I should probably watch more videos on how to use them, but the main thing is that I had soooo much fun just playing with these - it was great! Watching the colours move is fascinating. I would recommend watching Jennifer McGuire's videos on alcohol inks for ideas.

The big hugs sentiment die cut is a die I love because it is the right size to fill up your A2 card panel and it has a drop shadow (a must for sentiments in my books!).

I die cut it from white cardstock 3 times, for dimension, and for the upper layer, I inked up some white cardstock with my WOW embossing pad and added some Catherine Pooler Halo embossing powder - it is soooo shinny! I love it. I then die cut the word HUGS from it, ensuring that only half of the letters had the embossing on it. I repeat the process with the word BIG and mounted all my letters together.

Next, to ensure each letter was straight on the back shadow, I created a guide template: I die cut the BIG HUGS and shadow dies together, and used the openings as a guide to glue down my letters onto the vellum shadow.

I added a few sequins and gems and that completed my card!

I love how it turned out, it is so colourful and happy! I hope you do too.
